With Andrea gone into the light, new troubles arouse for Melinda. She must help her first true love crossover even with his love with her. Great episode.
After Andrea crosses over Melinda is sassy. A new character comes in the picture. She is in her store and a young teenager Ned is caught shop lifting. His mom, Delia is the new character. They talk and get along and both work close. A new friendship is bound to happen. Melinda finally discovers that this ghost that is contacting her is her ex boyfriend from highschool. He broke her heart because he didnt believe that she could see ghosts. He is sorry now and thinks they could be together. Jim gets jealous but Melinda comforms that he is dead and she is over him. He eventually crosses over, and everything is good. Great episode and shocking ending.
The character of the rock and roll enthusiast was very funny and for once instead of making me cry, it made me laugh. It was a very clever idea to how they introduced Delia and Ned. This rock and roll character quickly became my favourite and I was so disappointed that he had to cross-over so quickly.
I thought that the flashbacks were really good on how they showed the relationship between Melinda and Kyle. It was a little bit frightening how Kyle would not stop until Melinda would give in and admit that she belonged to him.
Melinda explains to him that it's too late, he's dead and she could never forgive him for what he did to her. He soon realises that it's time for him to cross-over and so he does, but not before he says "You were never forgettable."
I thought that it was a great episode but I just wish that the rock and roll character could have stuck around for a bit longer.
I really really loved this episode. Made me feel all warm and fuzzy. Two ghosts and cleverly done too. I loved the story line with the young ghost getting Ned to steal the grateful dead tickets. He (Ned) is going to be a regular for a while i think. The ghost was pretty cool too. I loved loved loved the story line with the ex-boyfriend. All stalkery and desparatee, highlighting Melinda and Jim's relationship as one of the good ones. Plus a Party of Five reunion. This episode had it all...and a creepy ghost that will surely come back to haunt us in the future...
Sitting with some friends today I am watching some older Ghost Whisperers. This show is great and I'm glad to see epi's with the Wide Brim Hat man, Melinda's ex boyfriend, etc. I have watched all these epi's before but it's great fun to rewatch them again.
In Love Never Dies you see a man get hit by a car and die. Apparently he ignores the light for in this show he meets up with Melinda but won't show his face to her. He is busy playing games. When Melinda finally figures out who it is she is shocked to find out it's her ex! He wants to be with her now after dumping her when she revealed her secret to him. But a ghost and a live person can't be together so she finally manages to cross him over but it takes a lot of patience on her part to get it done!
This has to be one of my favorite episodes, although I tend to say that about every single one. I like how they had Melinda's old boyfriend be the ghost and how he was in the last episode too, it was quite clever of them. Although I liked the episode, I didn't like the old boyfriend, he really creeped me out and he was so mean to Melinda. I mean he just walked away, so sad. I wanted to cry for her. Although I thought it was kind of wierd that the first two episodes of the season have similar names. I mean "Love Never Dies" and "Love Still Won't Die" It's clever but odd.
Love indeed doesn't die at all. But when it comes to your ex trying to haunt you into getting back together, then that's another story. As the ex-boyfriend of Melinda's tries to come back into her life despite being dead. As Melinda tries to stop a rock and roll star from getting some teenagers into trouble by stealing.
Okay I wasn\'t in love with this episode. But it was kind of interesting to see a bit of back story about Melinda. Oh wow, that former boyfriend of Melinda\'s was a tool wasn\'t he?!
Oh and who wouldn\'t be a bit unnerved running into someone that kind of...almost looked like themselves? No Professor Noodles this week. No Wide Brim or Laughing Man either. I think this is the quiet before the storm. The guy at the end with blood dripping off of his hands was a bit unnerving though. My gut feeling is that this is a murderer and not a murder victim. Oh now we have to wait until the next episode...argh!
Very disappointing.
It looks like Andrea is officially GONE GONE GONE. It's just too sad. What a wasted opportunity. I never imagined that they would just throw her character away like this. It's heartbreaking!
The obsessed old boyfriend plot line was just sad. It was kind of shocking when, in the last episode, he was run over. I thought his character would breathe some life into the series. Who is he? Why is he obsessed with Melinda?
But instead, he just became another in a long line of crossoverers. Is it me, or is this show loosing steam fast? It seems to be the same thing every week. I'd like to see some longer story arcs and bigger mysteries. I guess the hat guy is supposed to add that, but he doesn't really seem all that intriguing or menacing to me. Not in the way that Jason Priestly's character was on TRU CALLING.
I like the addition of Camryn Manheim's character, but I am not sure she will really be a suitable replacement for Andrea. I'll keep watching for now... But without Andrea, I'm not that excited anymore.
When I saw this Rocker boy haunting, or attached to the little boy that tried to steal the tickets from Melinda's shop (can't recall the kid's name, sorry), I thought he'd be a reckless one, but to my surprise he seemed to be very "free spirited", "down to earth" and caring. It amused me that he mentioned he repeated to the boy to get the tickets all night long! That's just what I like about this show, it puts a little humor into death, it doesn't just portray the souls as demanding favors anymore, or as clueless about their surroundings or situation.
This episode was well thought out and written. It is a shame that the director and or editor had to let the show down. Most everyone knows that Melinda drives a red Jeep Liberty. In the scene where she is driving to meet the ghost\'s wife, Melinda is driving across a bridge and instead of the red Liberty, they show a red older model Mitsubishi SUV. This kind of thing is a pet peeve of mine. When shows substitute clearly an incorrect car in a scene it tells me that they must think that the viewer is blind or just too stupid to notice.
This was an interesting episode, I also like the fact they they seem to be now making the episodes more fluid and feels like a continuation throughout this season, I could be wrong and it might change, but this was a good follow-up from last week, it was also haunting and so true to life.
I felt so connected to this story in a way, having being stalked for many years by someone obsessive but at the same time, could not see why it would not work, overall this episode hit the right spot, although I am wondering how they will fill the gap with Andrea now gone, hoping its not that woman, although nice - just does not seem the kind of person to replace a character like that... we shall see!!
Really liked this episode, especially with all the little (or bigger) twists. For instance, that Kyle/Ned is Melinda ex-boyfriend or the story with his ex-wife. Also, I like the end scene between Melinda and Kyle and the talk with Kyle + his ex-wife.
Furthermore, it was a good first appearance for Delia, the new main cast member. I LOVED the rocker-dude. :D LOL The twist at this sub-plot was good as well. Andrew wasn't haunted by his father, no--he was haunted by the dead rocker guy. Didn't see something like that coming, but it was re-freshing.
The ending was interesting, too. I wonder if they do this every episode now? Would be cool.
People die with unfinished business. Melinda helps them. It\'s simple and it\'s the source of the strength and truth and beauty of the show. Such a rich variety of stories can spring from those 2 sentences. You don\'t need some comic book villain in a wide-brim hat, or the annoyingly unexplainable Laughing Guy. You don\'t need some neurotic Jay Mohr explaining how the Incas knew about the hat. This isn\'t Paradise Lost. We don\'t want a schematic of heaven and a catalog of demons.
People live, love, struggle. Death causes pain and a terrible void and Melinda makes it better. I love the show when it\'s like tonight, about real people and their desires and flaws and regrets and how they effect Melinda and the people she cares about. The character of the old boyfriend was really interesting because you could see how he was attractive to Melinda in college and then how he was so flawed that he ruined everything. Loved the rocker kid and the boy.
Jennifer Love Hewitt is amazing. I hate that Andrea is gone, they had such a great relationship. I\'ll keep watching this show. I just love to come home on Friday night and settle in to be scared and try to figure out what\'s going on and then to feel those emotions that the ending brings.
Not a bad episode, but kind of long winded, some of the scenes kind of dragged a bit. Some cheesy special effects especially the one involving things being thrown about, which they've done already. Hated the drippy hand. Watch this show to feel emotions, not to be grossed out. Still, good to have the show back on the air.
