Goof: Sarah sees Melinda like she still was a little girl. However, when Sarah talks to Melinda, she always looked up.
Goof: The customer who wants her soap engraved left Melinda's shop with just the information Andrea gave her, leaving the soap she bought behind.
At the end where Melinda blows out her birthday cup cake candle her Grandmother (who has already crossed over) is seen appearing behind her in a golden yellow light.
Dylan puts on a school play called, Ghost at the Crossing. The play is based on Kenny's story in the episode, The Crossing.
Melinda's Mother (played by Anne Archer) is also able to see ghost but denies it as if it was a curse.
Andrea feels the presence of the sinister ghost in a hat in the shop even before Melinda comes into work.
Hamilton is the town Melinda grew up in.
Melinda: You know, I was thinking it would be fun to go out tonight and... celebrate. Jim: You were? Melinda: Yeah. Life is good, you know, and racking up another year, well that is big stuff. Jim: Damn straight! Big stuff. I'm gonna go round up the usual suspects.
Melinda: I have to meet someone in the bedroom. Jim: Excuse me?
Miss Riley: (to Melinda) Time is a funny thing.
Mrs. Gordon: I suffered years through it with my mother, I'm not going to do it again.
Melinda: You know, maybe I should go and to talk to your mom alone first. Sarah: Why? Melinda: Well, cause there might be grown-up talk. Sarah: Melinda, you're a kid. She's not gonna talk to you about grown-up stuff.
Melinda: I haven't always wanted this gift myself. In fact, sometimes I absolutely hate it. But I do good with it, Mom!
Miss Dowling: How could I survive the thing that killed my little girl?
Melinda: Grace, are you all right? Forgive me, but you don't look well. Grace Dowling: Don't I? Well I... suppose there's a reason for that. The fact is that I'm dying.
Mrs. Gordon: (to Melinda) I've been so busy lately, the house has gotten out of control. Not that it was ever in control.
Melinda: Sarah, you don't have to hide, no one can see you. Sarah: You can. Melinda: Well, there aren't a whole lot of people like me.
Jim: Mel, don't give her that kind of power. It's your birthday, take it back.
Melinda: (about Sarah) She's coming to me. Not just in dreams, I can see her spirit. Mr. Applewhite: I see... I see... That's very interesting, good luck with that.
Sarah: (to Melinda) I don't wanna do that light thing until I know where my mom and dad are.
Andrea: Do you see someone in the store? Melinda: Yeah, a customer. Andrea: Besides her.
Jim: How was the play? Melinda: Spookier than I expected.
Sarah: Tell them it's okay to be happy. Tell them I'm happy. Everything is the way it's supposed to be.
Andrea: Now can we move these dolls? Cause they are freaking me out.
Andrea: (to Melinda) Can a civilian get a ghost vibe like that?
Melinda: Do I know you? Sarah: Why didn't you help me? (Melinda wakes up from a dream) Melinda: Who are you? Sarah: Don't you remember?
Melinda: She'll be haunting places that are familiar to her. Jim: Which means? Melinda: Which means I have to go home.
