An evil spirit is haunting Jim, causing him to begin doubting his sanity. Even though he is dangerous, Melinda must help this spirit in order to help Jim.
  • I really liked this one.

Tonight's episode revolvoed around Julian, an ex-con from last week's episode who died when Jim's ambluance rolled over. I must say, I found this episode to be really well written and it didn't go the way I thought it would, because I thought that the spirit of Julian would try to hurt Melinda by posessing her husband. Even though Jim was in a way posessed by his spirit, it wasn't to hurt Melinda, or the people around Jim, it was to help Melinda when she and Jim went to visit Julian's murder victim. When they went to visit the family and when they wanted nothing to do with the apologies of him, it was through Jim that you can see the anger and anguish that Julian was feeling, because of how he changed while he was in prision. And while Jim and Melinda were in the diner, I thought that it was really nice to see that they were able to persuade Julian to go and make amends with his wife, to help make him feel better and then be able to cross over. I found it really touching that when they went to his wife's apartment that he was able to come to terms moreso with what he did to his family before he was sent to jail, by his own son. I kind of found it light-hearded that Julian was fine with his son turning him in to the police, in order to protect his mother. It was with this action, and with his family's forgiveness that Julian was able to leave Jim's body and cross over, because he was finally able to start feeling peace about his actions while he was alive.

In a different storyline in this episode, an old high school and college friend of Melinda's came into her shop, wanting to talk to her. When we finally learn that she told all of her new college friends about Melinda's gift, only in order to make new friends and to redicule her, causing a rift between the two. The episode ended with the two old friends having lunch together when we learn what the old friend's motives are: to find out what happened to the emerald necklace that her desceased aunt promised her. When the friend tells her her predicament, you start getting a smirk like the one Melinda had on her face when you see the aunt standing by her niece with the necklace on, motioning to Melinda to not let on that she was buried with the necklace on and then both Melinda and the ghost left the table where Melinda and her old friend had lunch.

In all, I really enjoyed the episode, and that was due to Melinda working with Jim to help a spirit cross over. I hope that next week's episode is as well written as this one.moreless

The five-year anniversary of Jim's father's death is getting close and Jim begins to act very strangely. Melinda notices a change in his behavior and believes the problem might be caused by a tortured spirit that is lurking around. While Melinda tries to help Jim, she is also presented with the surprise visit from an old friend (played by Estella Warren). This visit brings back painful memories of the past for Melinda. Alexis was Melinda's best friend throughout high school and she knew Melinda's secret. When they got into college, Alexis told everyone about Melinda's secret and humilliated Melinda very much. In the end of the episode, we find out Alexis' reasons for visiting Melinda.moreless
  • One of the better episodes.

The theme of this episode is forgiveness. The theme can e found in the ghost Melinda is helping or Melinda's situation with her friend, Lexi. In this episode, we find out one of the hardest obstacles in Melinda's life is when she was in freshman year in college. All the hurt she went through all because of her former best friend.

Melinda meets a ghost who is constantly bothering her husband. The ghost is seeking for forgiveness of the family of the man he killed, if not, his own family. I liked the idea of the forgiveness theme. Gives the episode a moral. I loved this episode. Superb.moreless
  • An evil man looking for redemption and he finds it in the strong willed Melinda.

It was a touching episode. It wasn't my favorite but it was still very very good. When Julian tried to ask the family of his victim and his own family for forgiveness of the things that he did, it really showed soemthing. It showed a man's ability to change and that even in the darkness there is still light. You just have to awaken the hope. To hear that his son called the police to protect his mother was also touching and showed that his son won't follow in his father's footsteps but be a good man with a good life. So many wonderful examples in this show.

This has to be one of Season 1's best Episode it has to be a Series Classic off the bat because everything was well explained and everything every plot flowed really well together and gave each main Character a chance of showing their skills to us. Also this was the darkest Episode yet it gave me chills that I have never felt before like when Julian was talking to Melinda in her bedroom and it just went to a commercial it left me just hanging there which makes this Episode a Series Classic.

Like always I have to thank the Cast, Writer and Co-Producer cause they made this Episode happened and they deserve all the props.moreless
