Ghost Whisperer

The first thing is there is a new Ned. He is much better than the old Ned. He likes a girl whose brother died just a few weeks before. At a basketball game the scoreboard goes nuts and the bleachers retract seemingly all by themselves but Melinda sees the ghost responsible, the brother who had died a couple of weeks before. Melinda figures out quickly that a boy was responsible for the brother's death.



Meanwhile, Justin who stole all of Melinda's information from Professor Payne's computer shows a email he has recieved concerning her and the ghost she was talking too. He tells her he knows she sees ghosts. He promises to keep it quiet until he calls the favor in. It's quite ominious. Professer Payne gets of Mel's do do list by helping her trace a massive email sent to all the students. It turns out to be the sister of the dead brother. In the end the boy crosses over after setting things straight. The sister, Lucy, who is gay is finally accepted by him. The object of her affections was fairly receptive and things end well.

Strange things begin to happen at Ned's new High School. The basketball score board pin points two people, a girl and a guy who are dating. Suddenly the bleachers begin to collapse almost injuring the girl - - the intended target. Melinda can see the ghost who is doing this. He is young. The young lady at the scoreboard controls is blamed for the mess. It later turns out to be the ghosts sister. The ghost is angry at the two who thinks killed him. In the end the ghost realizes he was killed accidently and he needs to love his sister just the way she is. Melinda solves the case and helps the ghost go toward the light. Good show.

Normally I would fall out of the funk of a show that has been off air for quite sometime but this episode really was good. It had just the right amount of everything that makes Ghost Whisperer a great show. One heavily topic that hit Ghostie fans was the "new" Ned. I even before the episode said the Casting people knew exactly who they were going to be casting and I was right. Sanders did a fantastic job in selling that Ned actually hit puberty. After all the last time we saw him was in "The Prophet" so in Ghost Whisperer Verse that's a good 5/6 months.



Typically, I don't normally enjoy watching the 11th episode of the season because they usually don't flow with the rest. Thankfully the Writers knew exactly what they wanted to do and that was; tie up loose ends left open and move forward with the overall arch. I was pleasantly surprised to see Justin Yates back after his one and only pretty big stint in the premiere. I had just assumed they had dropped the plot all together due to lack of interest but I was wrong. Without Yates, I could see the episode not as being as good as it was, so it was a great time to have brought him back. Along with involvement from Ned.



Lastly, the ghost of the week. This was one of the most touching ones I have seen in quite sometime. Rather then having the Ghost being the immediate blamer for causing all the trouble, it was shaken up a bit. I especially love the topic handling of finding her yourself in High School and how gender is a issue most teens go through and are scared to out themselves to the public, especially to people at school.



To end with: another ghost point added to the Mel score board.

Good story with surprises in the story line and for the characters. The first surprise that had me wondering if I missed a jump in the time line. Was the introduction of a new actor for Ned. He's bigger, older, and a freshman in high school. This opens us up to more diverse stories around his character and they started out on that vein with his debut. The story of a slamming insult website and a believed teenage love triangle. The ghost angry at the people who caused his death ends up getting his sister in trouble. By episodes end we find that the sister was the one sending emotional and loving emails to miss popular. The show used this episode as a chance to talk about a current social issue and introduce the new Ned. Good job plus the creepy web blogger is back and blackmailing Melinda which should be fun to see how that turns out and what he wants.

There is a new Ned in town!! lol I was strange to see another actor as Ned. And with him comes a new story. This time a young guy is going after a high school couple and they have to find out why. We have Lucy, Thomas (the ghost), Krista and Brad.



And Delia still doesn't believe in ghost, well it's not that she doesn't believe in them, she just can't get he mind around it.



I knew that Krista wasn't that bad when Thomas put the bat in her car. She didn't want the bat to get hurt and her look when he was on the floor dead...



And then Melinda finds the truth about Thomas death, the reason why he had the concussion. It was Brad but things aren't what they seem. That's what I like in this show, you think the reason why things happen is one but it isn't.



And that camera, the photographer is back. I almost didn't remembered that he had token those docs from Rick's computer. Her secret, her life in someone's hands.



The plot is much thicker than it seems. Those emails were the answer all along. When they got to the house, I knew it would be Lucy's, she was the key.



And Delia, so proud of Ned, of his way to see the world.

Thomas fixed his things, he managed to free Lucy from the troubles at school and he got her together with Krista.

Lucy is talking to Ned, the three can be great friends.



And at the end everything ended well, except the Justin part.



I like the "I got your six", I got your back...

In this season of Ghost Whisperer, they put a new Ned!! Anyways, Delia invites Melinda to Ned's basketball game. Ned tells Melinda about the strange things that have been happening at his high school. She finds out at the basketball game and sees the ghost in the gym. Melinda finds out that the ghost is the brother of a girl that Ned really likes. People have also been blaming her for all the weird things that have been happening lately. This episode is full of surprises, and it will keep you guessing until the end.

When I read the synopsis of this episode I noticed that there will be a new Ned, but I did not expect the writers to make him so...old. It felt like we traveled in time. Hmmm a time-travelling episode of Ghost Whisperer....no I don't think so.... I know that girls probably fainted when they saw the new grown-up Ned, but please... The episode itself was good - the plot was interesting, camera which cought Melinda talking to a ghost really gave me the creeps. I wonder what the writers have in mind for Justin, but it's probably not good for Melinda.



So 8.5/10 because the new Ned is wayyyy to old than he was supposed to be.

It's hard to review a highlight episode of a lousy series. Should I ignore that the acting is still stiff and the exposition poorly handled just because the theme and characters in this one raise above the usual mediocrity of the show?



(SPOILERS) Supporting lesbian relationships in high school is a good enough message for a tv show, but you only get so far in it without some actual narrative skills, which have never been the point of this series. As always, Camryn Manheim and Jay Mohr are the only charismatic forces on screen here, and the hip gay love in the show is somewhat countered by old geezer technology critique through high school gossip blogs (don't they mean forums?).



Anyway, as usual, skip the series, but if you're already following it, this is one of the less painful servings of it.

In yet another amazing Ghost Whisperer episode, this was one about a student who died in Ned's High School. I enjoyed the opening scenes, where Melinda's lack of knowledge about sport shone through, and I also loved the sceenes at the basketball game!



I thought the storylin e was interesting. It took a lot of great twists and turns, and there were some unexpected things occuring. I really enjoyed it, and I can't wait for this show to continue! This was definitely another great episode in a long line of great episodes! Can't wait to see more, and OI would highly recommend both this episode and this show in general! Keep it up guys, as this is one amazing and quite supernatural show!
