Two ghost.. one sorry dad and a jealous band mate, so much emotions. It may not make you cry but who cares it has great music and at the end another ghost that does not cross over. Over all great acting, great script, and great performances by all the musical talents.
Melinda has to help a musician whose unable to play for everytime he does something happens. His best friend was killed in an airplane crash. Meanwhile, Ned catches Melinda talking about ghosts and texts her that he knows she can see ghosts. Delia is upset that Ned doesn't want to celebrate his dad's birthday the next day although it's been 3 years since he passed on. Ned asks Melinda if she can see his dad. Melinda says no. Jim ends up talking to Ned and offering to be there to talk about "man things". Meanwhile, Melinda realizes that it's not only the father of the musician haunting him but his best friend. Melinda crosses over the father but the former best friend refuses to go. The writing was superb in the episode with mini subplots going on. Excellent!
I may just have a bias towards this episode because of its music influence slotted into it, but I found it spectacularly entertaining, beautifully acted (and sung) and well written. By the end of this episode, yet again, tears were pouring out of my eyes. As the episode began, I noticed that the musician was none other than Charlie's brother from Lost. Another tidbit that added to my love of this episode. The episode progressed and the musical and horror side of things kicked in and I continued to fall in love.
The ending made my eyes water and a tear dropped. It was so beautiful to see a father and his son reunited through music. Oh, I think I'm about to start crying again. That Jared ghost added to the excitement of everything, and it was strange that down he went to hell.
The other story about Delia's husband was beautiful, it really added more life to the episode. But the biggest surprise came when Ned found out Melinda's secret... this won't go down well.
Being as I am very tied to music in my form of thinking, I really took to this episode. As was seen, not all ghosts Melinda encounters are ones she can save and help to move on. This episode was a great one to point out just that. The struggles between to deceased and one still alive on the basis of one song---and whether it should even be. The struggling forces--between the father the one still living never thought understood him, and a band mate who had recently passed himself. Object of the struggle--basis on the the one who wrote the song in the first place.
Besides the storyline itself, I really fell in love with the song whose very chance to exist had been on the line in the first place, was finally given light at the episode conclusion. I found it was beautifully written and the performance very good and moving. I can’t wait for the song itself to become available :)
Overall, this is by far one of my favorite episodes of Ghost Whisperer.
Melinda helped out a young ghost that was being haunted by 2 ghosts one being his old bandmate and his father. This show did not impress me at all this episode. I have seen better they can do better. I did enjoy how Delia's son found out that Melinda can talk to ghosts. He wants her to find his dad to help his mom. I am hoping she tells Delia her secret and helps her heal. I would think that he didnt move on with the way he was killed. I mean Delia never mentioned if they caught the killer or not. I hope the next shows are a little better.
This episode is well put toghether mixed with anger, love, and compassion and very good music. This episode also has an errie background. I think this episode is one of the best in the Ghost Whisperer season #2. There is a rockstar who is haunted by his dead friend and his own father who are against each other of playing a beutiful peice of music on his guitar. The father wants to forgive him for messing up his dreams and his friend wants song #10 off his record. Which I will summerize in one word \"Excellent!\" I recomend it completley! 9.5/10 EASILY!
This was a good episode. It had a huge twist to it. It turns out that the once domineering and miserly father of a musician wanted his son to continue to play his music, play his song. And his once best friend who used to support him now tries to destroy him and becomes somewhat of a demon. It was quite surprising to find that out. The father crossed over but the ghost musician refuses and wants to do nothing but harm. He even joins the other bad ghosts. It looks like they are going to try and kill Melinda too. With what that worthless dope of a professor (yes I still hate him) explained with the crimson dove significance. This season is getting more and more interesting
I thought it was awesome to see a father who really wanted his son to finish his 10th song before he crossed over. And just to make it harder for Melinda to do her job they added an angry ghost who is jealous of his music because it is about the girl that he loves but can't have. I also thought it awesome that Jim helped Melinda while she was so busy with Jared. It was so awesome how at the end he started to play music again and he would never let anyone stop him again. Episode all about fathers and sons. Very cool.
I really enjoyed watching this episode. It was a different, but elegant twist to add musical spirituality to the show. It was touching to see a father, who had disapproved of his son's musical choice(rock and roll) in life, try so much and help him continue his career in death. It was also interesting to find out that the deceased lead singer was actually jealous of Evan's talent in life and in death. The concept of two spirits fighting against each other over one person was interesting. I even enjoyed seeing J.C. from N'Sync. He did a rather impressive job with his acting. All in all, this episode was real, emotional, and loving, and that's why I watch this show!
IMHO this episode was one of my favorites so far of this season. Melinda was her usual sweet self, can't help it she's so sweet she'll rot your teeth. Jay Mohr's character I am loving more and more. The premise of the episode was a young musician haunted by two opposing ghosts, his father who wants to let him know that he was wrong and wants him to do his music not the classical he taught him and a band member who died and is jealous of his talent and wants to keep him from playing and growing as an artist. Three Days Grace cameoed as the band at the beginning of the episode and they were amazing. On another note, no pun intended, Ned hears Melinda talking with the musician about ghosts and realizes Melinda can see ghosts and talk to them, and he wants to see his father. Delia is sad, it's her dead husband's birthday coming up and she wants to honor this day to keep Ned aware of how great his dad was. Jim was great as he interceded for Melinda with Ned and now is helping to be the male influence Ned needs and craves since his dad is gone. It was a good episode with a twist at the end, that the band member ghost will not cross over but says he has other options(like staying with wide-brim hat guy). This show may not be critically acclaimed, it might be fluff, but it is endearing and entertaining for those of us with sentimental hearts. Cheers!
This show has always been amazing when it comes to true to life things like racism, train accidents, abuse etc. but this episode really was different cause it wasn't about the dead victim and how they died, cause it was already known. Instead it was just souly on helping the living person find his passion that he'd lost.
Continuity, was absolutely perfect in this episode. By them incorperating the Dove back into the storyline totally makes the Andrea death more interesting then it already was and just adds to how great the writers are for being so creative and smart.
The Sub-Plot for this episode IMO was one of the best yet. I felt this episode was like the beginning point for Delia and Ned to shed some of their past that we haven't or have heard already. Jim totally was sweet once again and actually wanted to be the "father figure" for Ned even though it was a bribe, but still very sweet. Delia, what can I saw but I totally freaken love her now. She was ok in the premiere but slowly by little she and Ned grew on me and I really began to feel for them as human beings and as fictional characters.
Music totally was perfect in this episode I loved the song by 3 Days Grace "Pain" and Midnight Hour's "Running Away" these two songs totally fits the premise of Ghost Whisperer and the episode itself.
Finally they add a new ghost to the evil side :D I've been waiting so long to see if they'd add another one and they did. Jason/the actor are an amazing addition and I'm so glad to know that he'll return again.
Really struck a note with me [no pun intended] Being a retired musican [never big time},
I could relate to the rivalery that occurs between musicans when women are involved. Also how one can be effected by the unexpected death of another. I personally think theres a lot to be said about this program - not just this episode,
but the overall subject of how people are effected by losing a close friend or loved one, after losing them. Keep up the good work. I\'am sure this program will be around for a long time to come.
