Christine: Bunny took me to school. She wore a butterfly around her neck. She taught me how to ride a bike. We sat under the tree in front of the house.
Melinda: Who's Bunny? Who wore a butterfly necklace and took you to school?
Christine: She did.
Melinda: Who is she?
Christine: Mommy. Mommy is she.
-
Dennis: What is love? What does it feel like?
Melinda: Dennis, what you did for Christine is love. It's not what you do, it's what you say.
-
Delia (to Melinda): I just can't figure you out, you're like some guardian angel or something.
-
Jim: I'd offer to mind the store but...
Melinda: I know, you're off saving lives while I'm saving the dead.
-
Professor Payne: It's wood, it's like my head, maybe.
-
Melinda: It was the oven.
Nurse: Excuse me.
Melinda: I know how Dennis died.
-
Melinda: Everyone deals with death in their own way.
-
Jim: Come on, keep breathing, it's going to be ok.
-
Professor Payne (while yelling): Why are you yelling?
Melinda: I'm not.
Professore Payne: Oh, I am, I make that mistake.
-
Melinda (to Professor Payne): Lets just assume for a minute that ghosts exist and they can move objects.
-
Jim: Is he gone?
Melinda: Yes.
(later that night)
Jim: They're back.
Melinda: So is he.
-
Melinda: You can go shopping with me any time.
Delia: You're gonna wish you didn't say that.
-
Delia: What do you want me to do?
Melinda: Lock up, we're going shopping.
-
Delia: I know your secret.
Melinda: What secret?
Delia: That you are seriously in touch with your inner child.
Melinda: What can I say, easily amused.
-
Professor Payne (to Melinda): You baffle me...you little minx!
-
Melinda: Why would she poison Dennis and stay with the body?
Jim: Guilty don't always run and hide.
-
(the ghost is pounding the ornament on the ground)
Jim: Okay, I want this ghost out of here.
