  • Vanishing act...

Melinda loses her paranormal powers as the result of a bad fall. A young girl is haunted by her dead boyfriend, and wants Melinda's help. Melinda struggles to find a way to help her. The episode starts out with a boatload of spirits seeking Melinda for her help, and the effect is almost comical as she by now knows many of them by name. But it quickly turns tragic when she swerves her car to miss a ghost family standing in the road, and encounters the dead boyfriend in the nearby woods seconds before she falls and cracks her skull. She even loses sight of her ghost dog! Mom comes around, feeling very chipper since Melinda is no longer haunted. The ending is quite conventional for this series.

Brilliant Episode, A Head Injury Causes Melinda To Lose Her Gift, Or So She Thought, She Helps A Young Girl (Caitlyn) Get In Touch With Her Deceased Boyfriend.

Melinda Didn't Lose Her Gift!! :) Yay! =] Something Is Driving The Ghosts Away From Grandview. This Episode Is So Cool :D I Love It, Liked The Story Of Caitlyn Losing Her Boyfriend (Ok, Didn't Love That Part!) But I Loved It At The End, When Caitlyn & Brian Danced Together! :) It Was So Cute!

Caitlyn Thought He Was Going To Break Up With Her, But He Wasn't Going To, That Girl That She Saw Him With Was His Dance Teacher! :) Amazing Episode!

This is one of my favorite episodes because I was so sad when Melinda thought she had lost her gift. I was also happy when Melinda saw Brian and I cried when Catlin and Brian started to dance. I was also a bit confused at the very end with "Wide Brim Hat Man" and "Laughing Man".
  • This was a Fantastic Episode

This episode was really good. I was shocked at what happened to Melinda and how worried Jim was. I have the complete first season on DVD's and I watched this episode millions of times and still don't get sick of it if you have the complete first season and don't know what episode you want to watch I suggest you watch this one. It really emotional and makes you laugh all in one episode it is a great episode, one of my all time favorite episode. When she had to deal with losing her gift (what Melinda thought) and helping that girl it must have been very hard.

Melnda has been seeing a lot of ghosts lately, and aftr an attempt to help a ghost family, she is left helpless, in a coma. She gets well from the coma, a swift recovery. When she gets up, there is something very wrong. Melinda can no longer see ghosts, well, that's what she thought. It turns out all the ghostsare being drawn somewhere except for the young and powerful ones. Melinda helps a girl whos boyfriend has been haunting her. In the end of the episode, Melinda finds closure in knowing that she did not lose her powers, but there's something very wrong going on.

I absolutely loved this episode. If you have never seen Ghost Whisperer before, andyou can only watch one episode, watch this one. The Vanishing is one of the best episodes they have made. Their are times where you want to scream from teror, times when you want to cry your eyes out, and even a few times where you can't stop laughing. It takes real talent to pull that all into one episode. The end is so sweet and I couldn't help but feel happy for the girl, and at the same time I was reaching for the box of tisuesn next to me. This episode was absolutely wonderful!!

This show I gave a 10 because not only the writers but the acting is just great. A show that could go on for a while. I just can't put into word but it is something to think about. I watch it every week don't miss it for anything. She a very good actress.I voted for this one last year as a 10 and still do rate a 10 plus. I still feel about the same must be good writers for this one.
  • An episode where I cried and cried

Wow! The thought of Melinda losing her gift really scares me. To lose an ability like that must really hurt a person. Then there was the big scene where the boyfriend danced with his girlfriend. I was so touched to see that she crossed him over and that the ghost boyfriend took dancing lessons to make his girl happy. I couldn't help but let the tears go. Melinda I have to say has alot of wise self-control. With her mother there and the tension between them all these years. I was surprised that she didn't have a fight with her mother like she did in "Melinda's First Ghost." If I didn't know better I would think that Melinda was a perfect person. That's me though. None the less This is still the best show ever.
  • Melinda fell and hit her head in the start of the episode and now is concerned that she can no longer see ghosts, going about 2 days without seeing any. During this she is trying to help an angry girl find out why she saw her boyfriend with another girl.

Thus far in the series this was my favorite episode. The part where the young girl and the ghost of her boyfriend danced was so touching I almost cried.

I find that all the episodes are very strong and emotional and always leave me thinking about how truly short our time here is. And how we should make the best of the time we do have here.

This is an amazing show on a subject that I don't find is touched very much in such an amazing way. It's truly entertaining and yet could possibly be informative depending on what the person themselves believes.

I have to say lol even though I saw this about alot of episode I think this has to be my all time favorite. I just felt for Melinda she knows that her gift is special and I was really glad to see her get it back even though she never lost it in the first place but still. I loved the little dream sequence it was really cool the forst that Melinda was in was the same one in the Credits which I thought were cool. Also did anyone else see the continuity with the group of family ghost? I did they were the ghost that asked Melinda for help in the "Pilot" before it faded to the credits I thought that was really neat. I also loved that they are leading this episode into the Season Finale cause it really does have that element of suspense that wants you to keep watching to see who made the wind? or who send the Laughing Man or the Faceless Man? all these question will sure keep me watching even if they are answered in Season 1 I'll still stick with this show :).
  • loved it

I loved the fact that there is suspence building. Can't wait to find out more about the wind. I like that the Laughing man and the Faceless ghost are starting to come into play. Keep up the great work. Love the tear scene with her husband she really looked like she was in pain.
