(Melinda is going to visit her mother)
Melinda: I have to go. I'll miss you.
Jim: It's my poker night anyhow.
Melinda: Um, that's where you're supposed to say 'I'll miss you too'.
-
Professor Payne: You're leaving? Wait! You guys do this all the time?
Jim: What?
Professor Payne: The whole I'm saying something but I'm not telling you what I mean. I'm being whacky and evasive thing. You both do it.
Jim: (shrugs) I don't know what you're talking about.
Professor Payne: Yeah...like that! That's good.
-
Jim: Have I told you how glad I am that you're back?
Melinda: You can show me.
-
Melinda (about the woman in his dream): Jim, come on, I can take it. Spit it out, was she beautiful?
Jim: She's drop dead gorgeous, she looks like a model.
Melinda: A simple yes would have done.
-
Jim (at an all-girl cosmetics party): I've never felt the urge to hammer something so much in my life.
-
(Melinda to Jim about Eva)
Melinda: At least she was easy on the eyes.
Jim: Yeah easy on the eyes.
(Melinda gives Jim a look like, "I cannot believe you just said that")
Jim: But the most beautiful girl in my world is right here. (Points at Melinda)
(Melinda gives him a look like, "I am completely in love with you")
Jim: Welcome home Dream Girl.
(They kiss)
-
Melinda: I think it's nice that I have a man all the woman find so attractive.
Jim: That feeling doesn't go both ways.
Melinda: That's because guys have that whole caveman thing going on.
Jim: Yeah well I want my woman.
Melinda: Well you got her.
(They kiss)

(Melinda talking to Jim)
Melinda: Comforting to know that if you do not do well in the medical industry, you could be a male model.
