  • Melinda's half brother returns to give her some information about her dad and Melinda discovers that there is another old part of Grandview which is underground she ends up trapped down there

One of the freakiest episodes ever! Some parts I couldn't keep my eyes open it was that freaky. This would defiantly be one of my favorite ghost whisperer episodes. It made me experience almost every emotion in one episode. It made me scream, cry, laugh, feel joy, and feel terrified all in the space of an hour. I was surprised when Melinda actually ended up going down to the church and when she got trapped but this was good because it kept me watching and eager to find out what would happen. The writers need to keep doing what they are doing because they are making exceptional episodes. I love ghost whisperer !!

This episode was very creepy in my opinion. I never exspected Melinda to go underground. When she found the town it was surprising I thought all would be well but when Melinda became traped because of the cave in. I never thought that Tesse was Melinda's ansisor I thought she might have just been one of the meny lost souls under Grandview. I also belived untill the end that her father was good. I wonder how he became evil, and how he died.

Over all this was a really good episode, very scary, and I hope that there is more episodes like this.
  • Gabriel returns to Grandview. Melinda finds out that Gabriel really is her brother. A ghost leads Melinda to Grandview of 1844. She gets trapped down there with all the evil spirits. Jim ends up saving her. The ghost is Mel's grandmother's grandmother.

(duh) I was so glad that Jim spazed at him!! Yay Jim! YIKES!!!I cried a lot in this episode!! Poor Melinda!! I was SO happy Jim came for her. Well duh! • Melinda discovers that part of Grandview is built on top of another part.

This was a cool episode. Sometimes I have to wonder exactly how brave Melinda could possibly be! She discovers by a locket with a ghost attached to it that there is a Church built over top of and and entire street too! She figures out how to get to the location and goes without even a phone signal to tell Jim! The ghost that haunts records building goes and tells Gabriel who then shuts the door locking Melinda in. But Jim,Delia and Payne figure out the entrance but can't go through it. Thanks to a map Melinda dropped they figure out they can get to her through the antique store. Meanwhile Melinda meets the ghosts haunting the ghosts! And her father. Melinda is almost out of air when Jim reaches her. She is able to cross the first ghost attached to the locket but not the ghosts in the Church because of a demon like creature - her dad I think! Good episode!
  • OMFG...I don't know what to say...Poor Mel

OMG...all I can say is OMG

this was THE BEST episode from season 3 so far...wow!

Well...it started evil, it ended evil!

Gabe came back and Jim kicked him out of their house and that was really funny...anyway he gave Mel an envelope with photos of her family and her dad! Then a scared ghost came to Mel and wanted her help because she doesn't know what happed to her baby after she has left...Mel of course wants to help her and goes to the archieves to do a research about Tessa the ghost and the time when she'd lived.

Later she finds out that under Grandview is an other town and wants to investigate it and almost dies again... She discovers a hidden entrance in the archieves and goes inside...

The arcieves ghost tells Gabe about it and they close the door...Underground Mel finds a church where many people got killed because of a desease, which made them insane...Tessa knew it all before and told the people about it, but they just thought she was a witch and killed her...

Now Mel tries to tell the people that it was just an illness and not magic...But they don't believe her...

When Mel gets scared she tries to escape the tunnel collapese and Mel gets stuck underground...

Then she finds out who Tessa really was: her great great great grandmother, so that means her baby was fine... Nobody can help Mel, even if Jim, Payne and Delia found the door...it is blocked because of the collapse...

Then the Trio found out that there is possibility because the church is exactly UNDER Mel's shop so they break open the wall in Mel's basement and Tessa tries to lead them to Mel and succeed... Awww...when Jim found Mel and got her out...IT WAS SO CUTE!!!! AWWWW AWwww Awwwwww....

    Awesome episode!

I hope we'll get to see more episodes like this! DRAMA DRAMA DRAMA!
  • This episode revealed alot!

This episode revealed a lot! We finally know were she got her powers from and at the end were Mel's father's ghost was talking to Mel's half brother Gabriel! I wonder what Mel's father meant when he said if she doesn't come to the dark side he will have to do something! I can't believe her own father is doing things behind her back! Mel's father is so EVIL! I also can't believe Gab is Mel's half brother I was predicting it was going to happen but I was still shocked when they finally found out that he was. I loved the Mel and Jim moments! They were so cute!! :) expecially when gab showed up and at the end were he saved her from "The Underworld".. :) I loved this episode even thought it wasn't as scary as I thought it would be!
  • I loved this one, there is so much to come yet!

This one was awesome!! Gabriel in back and he pops some questions up about Melinda's father, his father! They are brother and sister!!

I like to see Delia more "adapted" to this ghost story, at first she was a bit scared but now she wants to know about the ghosts and their story. I like it.

Who would go into an underground tunnel, alone, without telling anyone, in the middle of the night? Only Melinda. She almost died buried there.

There's a whole town bellow Grand View, a town that had a terrible ending and there are a lot of ghosts down there.

Melinda's ancestor lived there, Tessa. She was the ghost that appeared from Melinda's father stuff.

But the plot gets tick, I thought Melinda's father was a good guy but now I not sure. He wouldn't be talking like that to Gabriel if he was...

There are a lot of thing coming and I can't wait to see them.
  • This episode was absolutely amazing!!!!!!Definitely is my favourite episode of the season yet.

Wow this episode was positively amazing!!!!!!!!Great to finally find out about Gabriel and her father, which has been a bit of a question for quite some time. I loved the part when Jim rescues Melinda from under all the debris she was buried under. Jennifer Love Hewitt is such an amazing actress. You have to admire her work especially the dramatic scenes where she shows her true abilities and talent. That priest was SOOOOOOOOO creepy!!!!!!! OMG when I saw the priest I didn't think he was human. His eyes were so creepy!!!!! I don't know if anybody agrees with me but didn't that woman who played Melinda's super great grandmother look a lot alike Jennifer Love Hewitt. I thought she did anyways another amazing episode. I'm sure this season will be fantastic!!!!!!!!
  • Rarely do you ever see Melinda scared or crying. Great episode!!!!

I really liked this episode. I've never seen a ghost help her so much. Then for the ghost to turn out to be her great-grandmother's great-grandmother. I am confused though, i can't figure out if Melinda's dad is good or evil. But he seems to be working with Gabriel (melinda's brother). Also how is it that Gabriel has the same power as Melinda when it was passed through her mother's side. I'm starting to thing it's going to be like tru calling. Where the dad is the evil version of what melinda (the good version) can do. I hope her dad is not evil. I think it would hurt her too much.
  • A typically good episode but this time had plenty of revelations to push the season along. First off we find the origin of Melinda's powers. An ancestor who saw ghost and was killed for being a witch because of it. This leads

A typically good episode but this time had plenty of revelations to push the season along. First off we find the origin of Melinda's powers. An ancestor who saw ghost and was killed for being a witch because of it. This leads Melinda underground to a city of ghost. The city that used to be Grandview but was buried and the current city built over it. The Tension in the caves was great the whole time I was waiting for Melinda to cross over hundreds of ghost and the writers have her buried underground! Very exciting ending in the much discounted Jim coming to her rescue just like something out of the first season. Second we find Melinda's father and her brothers true purpose and disturbingly enough they want to kill her. Wow I can't wait to find out why and why they are going through so much trouble instead of just leaving her alone. Great episode that entertained us for a night but opened questions until the producers answer them good job.
  • What can I say? This episode sets the standards for the rest of the season. If you have loved the past 4 episodes your sure gonna love this and become addicted!

Where do I start? First of all Gab is back and yes he is Melinda's half brother!!! and I thought all along the writers were trying to make us think that he was and then all of a sudden he wouldn't be but I guess this time they weren't! Now we are starting to find out more about the history of spooky old Grandview and we finally get to see the underground. We also meet one of the ghosts Tessa which in fact is Melinda's great great great grandmother mother :O and we also find that out because of her FATHER (who at this point we are lead to believe that he is good). At this point Melinda is trapped underground and Jim, Delia and Payre and trying to find her. They do and everything goes back to normal well that what is lead to believe and then out of the blue we find out that in fact Melinda's farther is on Gab's side. They are planning something to do with Melinda whic can only be asumed that they are going to try to get her to join the dark side with them. All in all this was a great episode and I cannot wait to see what is coming up in the next episode.
  • The best episode of Ghost whisperer to date.

One word, wow. This episode has to be one of the best, if not THE best episode of Ghost Whisperer since the pilot. From the dramatic moments to the heart wrenching moments..I don't think theres another couple on tv besides Melinda and Jim who have such an amazing chemistry..the only couple I can think that live up to it are The Taylors from Friday Night Lights. This episode was really revealing and told so much in such little time. The show has really taken a great turn, I'm really looking forward to seeing where they are going with this. It was also great to see Amy from Alias (Payton) who had a brief part in the final season. 10/10
  • If you loved the Season Premiere or last weeks "No Safe Place" you will just die for this one even more.

P.K. Simonds (of Fox's Point Pleasant), is an amazing writer. He is probably the best addition the Ghost Whisperer producers have yet made. "Weight of What Was" had basically everything I enjoy about the show. A dark mystery involving the bigger arch, tie-in to the main characters family lineage, every single supporting cast being involved and a great cliffhanger.

I loved Amy Acker on Angel and having her on Ghost Whisperer was a blessing in disguise, but having her as the great, great, great Grandmother of Melinda's was even better. The casting personal did a fantastic job, Amy defiantly could have actually been a relative (cousin or sister) of Jennifer's. They basically even have the exact same smile, proof rewatch the ending before Tessa crosses over.

Anyways, it was great hearing the voices we have all been hearing since Season 1 with Romano and Laughing Man, that echo-y voices that appeared during Mel's entrance into the church. It is things like these that make watching a series like Ghost Whisperer feel worth the long journey. Does anyone else feel that Tom Gordon may just be in a coma? It could explain why he is seen as a spirit to Mel but still be alive, as he said to Gabriel at the end "I won't have to do this for long."

Ending this, I wonder who that Red-Eyed Ghost in the church was, the one that said "Finally" very Romano like ah? Know, I am for sure sure that Tom is evil and Beth is not but a worries mother as Tom said himself "While I wanted you to revel in your gift, not hide it." Also he leaded Mel to the underworld, why would a caring father do that to her "beloved" daughter?

5/5 Stars, can not wait to see more of this unravel. Great work once again and have a Happy Halloween! this Wednesday.

eta: Jim and Delia really impressed me tonight. Hopefully in future episodes more of these kind of character developments will occur. I liked Jim and Delia, but they have always felt one dimensional, Jim the husband and shoulder. Delia, the new friend of Mel's and skeptical. Tonight, they both proved me wrong and I am proud to admit it. Delia, still cautious but was open in following what she felt was real and Jim took into action rather then just falling into the back as just the shoulder/ears for Mel.
