Lenni: Ghostwriter, can I talk to you? Ghostwirter: Hi, Lenni. Lenni: My Dad likes Sally a whole lot. Ghostwriter: That's good, isn't it? Lenni: It scares me. Ghostwriter: Why?
Jamal: (Talking to stuffed animals) Bernie the Bear, meet Mevlin the duck. Grrr. Oh look, Duck Melvin, it's a bear! I saved you guys from the trash bin so you owe me. One good thing about being stuff, you don't have to worry about perc, do you? (knocking sound) Just a minute! (tosses toys into the closet and opens the door for Rob) Come on man, I've been waiting for you. Rob: Sorry. Jamal: Let's go. Rob: So who were you talking to about perc, Ghostwriter? Jamal: Uh, you know you have to write to him. Rob: Who said that? Jamal: Never mind. Rob: Who? Jamal: (yells Never mind!!
Mr. Miller: To me, the kids are the future. That's why I like to give so generously to so many organizations. You know they're giving me an award on Sunday at the Hurston school. They voted me Citizen of the Year.
Max: I've begun to realize that having a new relationship doesn't mean forgetting the old. Whatever happens with Sally or anybody else that I might meet, your mom is still every bit as special to me as when she was alive. Does that make any sense to you? Lenni: I guess. Max: And you are the most special thing of all in my life. You always will be.
