Season 1 Episode 11

To Catch A Creep Part 2

Aired Unknown Dec 06, 1992 on PBS

  • Trivia

    • It's shown several times in the show that Alex doesn't like singing or dancing. In this episode, Gaby had to coax her reluctant brother onto the dance floor at Lenni's birthday party. He also didn't participate in the team's music video in "Don't Stop the Music" for the same reason.

  • Quotes

    • Rob: Just stay out of my way and out of my face.
Jamal: Hold it man. We're not going to get anything if we keep talking to him like that.
Alex: Yeah, but I still think he's guilty. We should add him to our list of suspects.

    • Alex: Get away from me, Blabby!
      Gaby: Stop calling me Blabby!
Alex: Why should I? You tell everything you know!

    • Alex: You can tape me battling a gigantic chicken. I'll throw it to the ground, beat it to a pulp, and then throw it into the middle of a prehistoric oozing swamp. Then I'll stand tall and they'll see Alex Fernandez, picture of courage!

    • Rob: (reads) "Goodbye Jamal"?
Jamal: How'd you know my name?
(Jamal notices Ghostwriter has spelled "Goodbye Jamal" in the air)
      Jamal: You can see that?

    • Mrs. Fernandez: You just got another pen pal letter, Alex. It's from Chentau in Sweden. Mmm, smells nice.
Gaby: She always drenches her letters in a bucket of perfume. I'd better open a window.

  • Notes

  • Allusions

    • Lenni gets her mother's copy of Harriet the Spy, a real children's book written by Louise Fitzhugh. Harriet lived in New York, had lots of adventures, and wrote everything down in notebooks just like the Ghostwriter team.
