  • Notes

    • Guest star Jeremy Miller, who had just finished his run portraying Ben Seaver on ABC's hit "Growing Pains" months earlier, was originally supposed to be a regular cast member, but pulled out after production was completed on this pilot episode. The famed Samuel L. Jackson also appears in this episode as Jamal's father, and Max Wright ("ALF") as Mr. Brinker.

    • This was the original pilot episode of "Ghostwriter", which is evident from the different set/production design (all sets are different: Jamal's house, Lenni's apartment, the Bodega, etc.). It is evident that the first aired episode, "Ghost Story", wasn't even written yet, as during Tina's induction, Jamal mentions that they don't even know whether GW is a he or a was clearly made a point in "Ghost Story" that GW had been a he! Also, the young actors are quite a bit younger than they were in the first broadcast episode, and the computer program on Jamal's computer is noticibly different.
