The Professor. He's smart and extremely easy on the eyes. I could look at him all day long. I think there are people that don't give him enough credit, after all if it wasn't for him the island wouldn't have had so many neat inventions.

All the characters were great. The producers got the casting just about right. My only gripe: they didn't do enough with Ginger, she was very one-dimensional.

The professor has always been my favorite character. As a kid, he kept me interested in learning...especially science.

This type of question is always hard for me to answer, so I always talk about the lesser characters. Mine is Dr. Boris Balinkoff. I consider any character on two or more episodes to be a "regular" character, so I could also choose Wrongway Feldman or the Japanese sailor, in addition to the castaways. It is hard to believe that Vito Scotti played Dr. Balinkoff and the sailor!

Wow, if you know that much, you should contribute some notes or something. The Japanese sailor was awesome, and Wrongway Feldman, ditto. But what made the show was Gilligan and his antics. Don't remember Dr. Balinkoff, what did he do?

I have contributed quite a bit, but there is a lot I still could
    contribute.

Dr. Boris Balinkoff appeared in two episodes. The first was
"The Friendly Physician", the only episode in which the castaways left
the island. He took them to his haunted castle on a nearby island,
promising rescue, but actually switched their bodies. He had a human
    assistant named Igor.

His second episode was "Ring Around Gilligan". He
wasn't as creepy and he was sillier and crazier. He came to the island
with a device that controlled rings that made the wearer become his
robotic slave so he could rob Fort Knox. In this episode, Igor was a
monkey--he probably changed him with one of his machines.
