Luke finalizes his divorce; the band's latest gig is a big hit, but leaves Lane feeling lonely; as the Dragonfly Inn nears its opening date, Michel gives travel agents the grand tour and Sookie is back in the kitchen, if not on her feet; Doyle clues Rory in on Asher's reputation as a serial student dater; Lorelai and Richard have it out over his treatment of Jason; Lane is upset to discover that her mother has taken in a Korean exchange student who could be her double, and confronts the girl when she sees her wearing her old clothes; when Jason decides to sue Richard after discovering his treachery, Lorelai breaks up with him; afraid that Richard's actions will put a rift in their relationship with Lorelai and Rory, Emily asks her husband to reconsider, but he brushes her off; Asher is displeased when Rory questions whether the "A" he gave her for a paper she thought she did poorly on has any connection to her friendship with Paris; after Richard and Emily act very strangely during Friday night dinner, Lorelai does a little investigating and discovers that her mother has moved out of the house and into a hotel; Lane begins to realize how much she misses her mother.moreless

  • The aftermath of the previous episodes events, two break-ups.

    Now this episode really was pivotal purely because of the two break-ups. Emily and Richard, I knew it was coming but it was weird to see it actually happen. However it was hilarious to watch them act so strangely when hiding it at Friday night diner. Emily was especially funny with everything she said.

    Richard was mean to brush Emily off like that, she wanted the best for the family. I would like to see more on this though, hopefully next episode. Lorelai and Jason also end, purely because Jason refuses to not sue Richard, Lorelai storms off after telling him she can't be with someone who's suing her family.

    I'm glad that's over, please let Luke be her next boyfriend. Plus he signed his divorce papers so he's single now again too. What Rory thought about her paper and Asher was right, he could have done it because of Paris. I liked that Rory didn't care what he said. I feel sorry for Paris, he'll end it soon no doubt.

    Brilliant episode, I actually can't wait for the next three!moreless

    Luke is getting divorced, that scene at the post office was fun lol Lorelai all respectful then she and Kirk started talking about Bewitched and Luke started to get angry lol.

    And Lorelai talking with three persons at the same time lol First Rory then Jason then Luke comes out with breakfast...
    Lane's band got another gig but her mind is more worried with what's happening at her house, with her mother and her "new daughter".
    Sookie is back lol, remember when they worked at the Independence Inn and she was always bleeding from somewhere lol now she is back to normal, the foot is the first!

    And there is a follow up to last episodes bomb, Richard is sewing Jason, that's bad. When Lorelai goes to her parents house and asks her father not to do that, her mother even went to Richard's office to talk to him after Lorelai left.
    That was it for Emily.

    I noticed something weird in them the next Friday dinner. Emily and Richard were strange, they wanted to end it quickly, that was really weird and then we find out why. Emily is staying in an hotel!!

    And Lane, the gig was great, everyone loved it but the after thing was bad for her, all band members had company but her...
    She was alone. This is when I saw Lane's kid side, she is jelouze and hurt because of the new Korean kid in her house and she misses her mother, really misses her. That kiss while Mrs Kim as sleeping said it all.

    And then another bomb, Jason is sewing Richard and that's it for Lorelai...moreless

  • Another great episode of Gilmore Girls.

    This episode is very good, but below the average Gilmore Girls episode, in my opinion. It lacks a bit of the charm most episodes possess, but it is still fun to watch. In this episode Digger finds out about Richard's plan to boot him out of the business. This causes a lot of friction between Lorelai and her parents and in the end this whole mess of a situation causes two of the couples relationships to be questioned. Digger and Lorleai seemingly break if off and Emily moves out as she and Richard are experiencing troubles. Overall, thought not an amazing episode it advances the characters quite greatly therefor is a must-see.moreless

    Personally, i have enjoyed this episode many times before and many times to come. I feel bad for Jason. Everyone abandoned him when he was just trying to do his job. I also felt bad for Lane. SHe walks by her house only to see her cousin Christine, taking her position as Mrs. Kim's daughter. I felt so very bad for Lane. i mean her face was completly forlorn. I actually felt very happy for Richard. That was very snake like for him to be so sly and abandon Jason but at the same time, he did what he needed to do.moreless

    This episode was so funny and it also made me feel a little sad for some of the characters. I thought that it was really sad that Lane was stressing over her mother having another teenage girl at her house staying in her room and wearing her stuff. i think that she felt like her mother was trying to replace her with someone better. i thought that this episode showed us that lane really cares about her mother evan though she doesn't always show it. I really liked that Lorelai fought with her father over hsi decision to rejoin his old partner and leave Jason out of the deal. I felt sorry for Lorelai that she broke up with Jason because he decided to sue Richard.moreless

    • In this episode, Lorelai ends her relationship with Jason in a coffee house. In season 1, Lorelai's relationship with Max ends in what appears to be the same coffee house.

    • When confronted by Lane,Kyon says she is an exchange student who is staying with Mrs.Kim.However,the length of her stay is obviously extended since she is still living with Mrs Kim and attends Lane and Zack's wedding two years later.

    • When the maid announces that dinner is ready,everyone is surprised stating that it is only seven.However,it has already been established that dinner is at seven every night for many years which also brings up the question of how were Rory and Lorelai were early? They had only arrived a few minutes earlier and since they have drinks before dinner every week they were actually late.

    • In this episode Lorelai Family loyalty is what ends her and Jasons relationships when he refuses to drop the lawsuit against her Father,which is ironic because it was her Family loyalty that began the relationship in the beginning of the season when she went to his office to confront him about cancelling her mothers company launch party and therefore making Emily feel obsolete.It is also these events that show no matter how much Lorelai tries to detach from her family that she does put Family first!

    • While Luke and Lorelai are standing in front of the Mail Boxes Etc. arguing about where he should be getting his divorce, the back of Lorelai's hair is messy and showing her weaves. The camera moves back and forth between Luke and Lorelai several times. In the first 3 or 4 times her hair is messy at the back. The last couple of times it is smoothed over.

    • When Rory and Lorelai get to dinner, they walk quite a ways to the door. Usually they park right in front. Also, Emily acts like she didn't know the girls were there, but she parked right outside the front door. Wouldn't she have seen Lorelai's or Rory's car when she pulled in the driveway?

    • When Rory and Lorelai leave Friday night dinner, you can hear that they go out door right away. However, before dinner they left their coats and purses in the living room. When they are outside they had their coats on already. As quickly as you hear the door open and close, they would not have had time to go in the living room, grab their stuff, and put their coats on.

    • When Lorelai is talking to Luke in front of the post office, a Jeep and silver Sedan drive by numerous times behind Lorelai.

But since you never told me what time you wanted dinner- Emily: That's okay, we'll have dinner now! Lorelai: What about our drinks? Emily: We'll take them to the table! Richard: I got the cocktail napkins! Lorelai:(To Rory) Okay, anytime they ask you about school or traffic, do a shot.

The allusion was to an episode (LA MIRAGE) where a famous catfight took place in a pool between Joan Collins and Linda Evans, both of whom were wearing ball gowns.

    • When Lane first sees Kyon she's wearing a tie with a t-shirt. The style Avril Lavigne popularized with the release of her 1st CD.
