  • Yea Wet Jess!!!!!

Well.. this episode didn\'t exactly make me wanna watch it again. Except for, of course, wet Jess. Jezzz how hot is this guy? Its amazing that all the hair gel could just run out of his hair.(I always wondered how much gel they go through and epi) Lets not forget that he was Extrememly sweet in this epi. He tried to have a little conversation with Rory but it was ruined by Dean. Yuk! I mean he even turned it back on when he found out Dean was comin to help. And how about that little smirk on his face wen he went to leave. Oh how cute!

There was to much lame drama with Emily, Richard, and Lorelai. It was pretty petty and stupid. I think this episode was just used to cement the rory/jees luke/lorelai relationships. God i luv those Danes/Mariano men!
  • Lorelai likes a guy from an auction, but only Emily knows who he is. Another great episode.

Great episode. The opening scene with Luke and the babies was funny. The whole Dwight, new neighbour, storyline was funny but weird. But it made way for a Jess and Rory moment, the chemistry they have is high and the look they give each other, hope they get together soon. The inside of Dwight's house was strange, his wife's voice message was funny.

It was interesting to see Lorelai liking this guy and having to ask Emily for help. Emily's smugness was enjoyable. Michel was very amusing at the auction and when he begged Lorelai to take him. It was funny how it all turned out, Lorelai thought he was boring, which disappointed and annoyed Emily.

Richard's phone call was a bit controlling but entertaining. Lorelai's apology was funny, liked how Emily made a comment at the end. No Dean, it's not looking good for him and Rory. Funny how Emily was nicknamed 'The Cobra'. Good as always.
  • Rory and Jess moment!

The only real reason I gave this episode a high score was because of the Rory-Jess moment. Jess' 'rescue' of Rory by turning the neighbours hose off, and then back on again so that Dean wouldn't know he came by, is one of my favourites Rory and Jess moments before they actually become a couple. It was one of the sweetest moments between them- the look he gives her as he's walking away is so cute!

Other than that moment (and the dialogue over dinner at the Gilmore residence) the episode wasn't that spectacular. There really wasn't much to the plotline.

However, seeing Jess all wet was definately enough to keep me happy! :)
  • A simple love this series

Emily is throwing a auction and she invites Lorelai to go. Michel ears the conversation and begs to go too. That scene is funny.

There's a new neighbor in Starts Hallow and he makes Lorelai say she will water the lane and she has to do that twice a day. He even left the key and a letter so she could go inside and water some African flowers.

Skipping to the main issue... Lorelai meets a guy at the auction and she likes him so she asks Emily for his number. They go on a date, a dinner, and it is terrible, she has the worse time ever and I guess so did him. Next day, when Lorelai stops by to trade a lamp, Emily is all curious to know how was the date. Lorelai tells her that it was not good.

And here the problems begin... Emily knows Peyton's mother and this thing may cause some problems in the social circle. Richard is going to play golf with Peyton's father so they can find a way to solve the situation. He calls Lorelai telling her that.

At the end, Lorelai apologies to Emily and Emily gets her way, Lorelai is going on a second date...

A quick note, while watering Dwight's lone, the switch breaks so Rory pages Dean. He takes to long and she goes looking for someone else to help. She runs into Jess and he fixes the problem. A minute later Dean sees the page and tells her he is coming...Jess puts the switch back in the wrong position so Dean could fix it. Oh and the Salsa tape! Good one lol
  • Lorelai meets a man that she likes and he knows Emily.

this was such a great episode. i thought that it was really nice of lorelai to go to an auction that her mother was running and it was also that it was nice that lorelai let michel go to it with her. i though that it was nice that lorelai meet a man at the auction and she did not get his name or any other infromation about this man so she had to get it from her mother which i think was a bad move on her part because her parents got really upset that she did not want to go out with him again. i really can not believe that they made such a big deal about her not going out with Peyton again and that Lorelai had to aploigize to her mother and that they made lorelai go to the concert with him. i thought that it was really nice of jess to help out rory when she was watering the neighbors grass and that he also turned on the water so when dean go thtere there was not an arguement over how it got turned off.
  • Wet!Jess! - What could be better

Honestly, this episode didn't do much for me. Other than that beautiful moment between wet!Jess and wet!Rory, there was nothing to this episode. Lorelai was funny, as per usual, and Luke was grumpy, as per usual. Dwight and his wife were funny - I did enjoy the message she left him. Scared me a little bit though.

I only give it a high ranking because I'm a teenage girl and Jess was looking mighty sexy. It would get a 10, but the plot did nothing for me.

It was obviously just filler to get more tension between are favorite Literati couple.
  • This episode was really great.

This episode was really great. The teaser was hilarious with Luke being in a bad mood, and it got even funnier when a mother started to nurse her baby in the diner, Lukes was so funny asking Lorelai to go over there & ask her to stop because aparently *she has the same body parts*.

Lorelai has a new neighbour who seems weird & annoying. He has to go out of town for a few days & asks her to look after his lawn & plants.

Lorelai attends one of Emily's society auctions and Michel wants to go with her. While she's there she meets a hansome guy, when she forgets to get his number she's forced to ask Emily for it. She goes out with him but her date is a disaster. Emily & Richard want her to go on a second date with him & don't seem to get the message that Lorelai doesn't want to date him.

  • Emily: "You really should identify yourself when you answer the phone at work." Lorelai: "Sorry. Independence Inn, major disappointment speaking...better?"

This week's teleplay was written by Justin Tanner and directed by Joe Ann Fogle.

When Lorelai meets her new neighbor Dwight played by guest star Jason Kravits (The Practice), neighborly duties and neighborly guilt force her to agree to water Dwight's lawn while he is away. Later while attending an auction organized by her mother, Lorelai has a brief encounter with a very attractive man (Jon Hamm, Providence) and determines to uncover his identity. After a hilarious but unsuccessful attempt to find out his name, Rory encourages her mother to ask Emily.

At dinner that night with her parents Lorelai reluctantly reveals her interest in the man and Emily is more than happy to give her a name and phone number. A disastrous first date with Peyton Sanders follows and Lorelai tells Rory that there is no way that she will date the man again. Unfortunately for Lorelai, her mother is in love with the idea of her daughter dating the son of one of her friends and is anxious to hear all about the date. When Lorelai is less than enthusiastic, Emily is not happy and insists that Lorelai must keep the second date or her social standing will suffer. Lorelai brushes her mother's words aside only to be confronted by her father later by phone who berates her for not taking into account the consequences this whole second date will have on her "mother's world".

By episode end, Lorelai apologizes to her mother for not considering the effect her actions will have on her mother's life and tells her that if it will help, she will go on another date with Peyton.

Lawn watering duties also bring Rory and Jess together for a brief scene that further sets up the writer's plans to put these two together.

What's really good in this episode: Lorelai's interactions with her mother, for Rory/Jess fans – the cute scene (complete with mood music) with the sprinkler and the opening scene in Luke's diner.

What's not so good: NO DEAN! Not even a phone call this week, just a beep on Rory's pager…sigh…not to mention an opening collage of scenes (Last time on Gilmore Girls…) that beats into the audience (for the umpteenth time)that Rory and Dean are not long for this world. Also absent from this episode (and sorely missed) Lane and Paris. No Sookie, Jackson or Kirk either!

    Other highlights:

    - "Borrow Rory's sweater when you go."

    - Lorelai's attempt to reunite with high school buddy "Shamoo"

    - The COBRA

    - Jess' reaction to the breast-feeding

    - Luke's reaction to the breast-feeding

    - The first cup of tea.
