It just dawned on me earlier that with all the food mentioned in the episodes, the creators of the show should put out a Gilmore Girls/Stars Hollow cookbook.

I mean, you've got Luke's diner menu including the Santa Burger, the mock turtle soup for Richard, all the stuff Sookie has made for the Inn (including the killer peach sauce and the magic risotto).

I think it would be great for them to do and the proceeds could go to charity.
They could also get the stars' fave recipes and include them.

    Is that a dumb idea?

No WAY it's a great idea And maybe they could have some coupons for coffee! LOL

The Santa Burger Luke made Lorelai was disgusting o_o it was like margarine and ketchup. The actually SB could gingerbread, whipped cream for the white parts. Sprinkled RED sugar for the red parts. Maybe two candies for eyes and licorice for a mouth

Gilmore’ Fans Flock to Bookstores for Cookbook

After the recent release of the “Stars Hollow Cookbook” ™ many bookstores around the country have been just as crowded as they are during the Harry Potter rush each time a new book comes out. Including recipes for things such as a Santa Burger, Luke’s Diner Burgers, and Sookie’s famous peach sauce this is one cookbook that Gilmore fans just won’t be able to keep their hands off. That’s saying something since usually, from the influence of the show, many fans eat nothing but junk food, at least while the show is on. Even chefs who aren’t fans of the hit television show will treasure this book because of some of the fantastic recipes in it. Cont. on page 4

That is a wonderful idea and I would TOTALLY purchase it! They could also have like a party throwing section where they list the items you need for when your daughter's 1st boyfriend comes over to watch a movie, what to have when you throw a Lord of the Rings kids birthday party, what to serve at a bridal shower in town square, what to put in an auction basket, etc I could go on and on. And they would have to list all the meals served at Emily and Richard's dinner nights. How fun! That would be an awesome cookbook and GG keepsake!

Don't forget the brownies with triple the cocoa mix thrown in, oh and what was that breakfast combo Rory made for her first day of Yale? I think it was sausage wrapped in a pancake and tied up with bacon? Or Lorelai's breakfast on the go that morning with Jason- tossing the french toast and bacon and eggs in a bag and throwing some syrup on top? MMM.

I believe the book would be titled, "Eating Habits from Hades"

Oh, what was that really weird sushi that Lorelai and Rory made at the beginning of this season?  I'm totally blanking on it right now, but that would so have with all the other weird food the Gilmores make.
