If you buy the Gilmore Girls soundtrack, it has a bunch of the 'la las.' They're pretty fun.

I heard it on a movie (can't remember the name) a few weeks ago. I thought they made that song just for Gilmore Girls.

I originally thought Carole King (who, with her daughter sang the theme tune) did the LaLa stuff, but no,it was Sam Phillips, she is also the last troubadour to sing in the 'lots of troubadours' episode.

Doesn't Sam Phillips also sing "Reflecting Light", the song to which Luke & Lorelai dance at Liz & TJ's wedding? I love that song and that scene is probably my favorite L/L moment - or at least tied with their first date!

Personally I dislike the singing. I think the syllable is usually not "la" but rather "ba", like a sheep.
