Awh, I dun hate Dean. I thought he was a great boyfriend...for high-school Rory.

But then Jesse and Logan came along, and I guess Dean was just too sweet and couldn't hold on.
    Plus, I looove Logan.

Rory had very bad taste in men. Don't you all think? But I think it goes with her personality, really book-smart, but life-dumb. Sorry Rory

I dont think she had bad taste in men except for Dean. I think LOgan was the beat for her. Jess was good but sometimes he could treat her like trash. But Dean had to be my least favorite.

Rory twisted Dean into this thing, she used his love for her to get what she wanted at the time and the amount of crap Dean took from everyone is redonkulous. Rory may have rich grandparents but that doesn't make Logan suitable,Rory wasn't brought up with lots of money ,in fact the direct opposite,Dean was the only one who was really there for her and he got shat on for it.

i agree that dean was there for her but he wasn't right for her he was a small town guy and she had big city dreams. now Logan was a big city guy but he was all wrong for her. he turned Rory into a rich kid brat. like when she stole the yacht and the got into that huge fight with lorelai. that whole situation was ridonculous Jess was best for her especially after he went to PA and matured.

I really didn't (and don't) hate Dean. I actually like(d) him better than Jess in some ways...

Because he is too needy and possessive. I don't hate Dean actually but I don't like him either as a character. Couldn't describe it.

I am watching all the episodes all over again, and I just finished "Kiss and Tell." I was so happy they are together, and at the same time I am in a going in a few season I will totally not be liking you and over you. Does anyone else go through the roller coaster while watching the seasons?

All of that was Rory's selfishness. Don't worry Rory, just treat me like crap and flirt with other guys, I'll just take it on the chin..NOT!

I liked Dean I really did and thought he would be great for Rory.....if Rory was willing to live in a small town. There's a part of Rory that isn't Stars Hallow. She wants to travel the world and report on things she sees. She wants to be a writer and make sure she, inher words to the Headmaster on her first day at Chilton"sees something."

Dean isn't a world traveler and he brought up the good point, "The CNN jet is going to be for our personal use?!?"

Rory needed someone who would go on adventures with her or be totally okay being away from her. Logan could've been liked that (he handled the long distance thing well.) Jess was a drifter and would've worked odd jobs and just followed her around.

He was a great first boyfriend and great to Rory.
