  • Visually stunning, there's just so much to look at here. Sookie's great desserts, the shower the town throws, and of course, the girls themselves.

In this episode, Loreli comes downstairs in her paper-veil looking for approval from Rory who reads it instead. After having a run in with Paris on their house-building project she's way behind in volunteer work, panics and plunges into looking for a fix.

The best things about this eppy are: Emily and Loreli's exchange at the end of the show. Clearly both hurt and not knowing how to approach each other, a bridge is gapped by talking about veils vs tiaras. I also love the shot of the kitchen where Sookie has baked loads and loads of wonderful pasteries for the shower. The shower itself is magical; candlelight and lavendar...Lane leaves for Korea and Rory and Dean are cuddling on a bench. The best show however, is Luke sitting on the park bench surrounded by baby-dancer brides, sad to see Loreli dancing with Max. I just loved the whole thing!moreless

  • Sookie throws Lorelai an engagement party. Good episode.

    "Superb"
This was a good episode. Max is an okay character but Lorelai is obviously meant to be with Luke, so I would like for there relationship to end soon. But I do actually like the whole wedding thing, Lorelai not telling her parents was a good way to make this episode more interesting. Emily's reaction was a little harsh and mean, after all at least Lorelai did decide to tell her in the end. Good to see Richard apologise to Rory, liked how that was done.

Is it me or is there something different about Dean, I don't know what it is, he seems more . Normal. Anyway, his fight with Rory about Harvard was needed and was entertaining. Glad they made up thought because I like them as a couple. Lane being sent away, hope she comes back. I think she will as I can imagine her being a popular character and since the next episode is called 'Red Light On The Wedding Night' I think a few months may have passed.

Lorelai shouting at Emily for her reaction was my favourite part of the episode, arguments are always very entertaining and engrossing in this show. It was sad to see Lorelai actually upset and near tears about her mothers attitude but then Emily can be upset to. Brilliant scene. Sookie and Jackson are a good couple, liked when he was annoyed about the marriage thing, then said that he'd move in and she just laughed at him.

The whole Rory building the house thing was a bit . Unnoticeable. I liked the build up to it, with Paris and Louise in summer school but it was only really a brief scene at the house. Lorelai asking Luke to come to the party was yet another sign that she likes him, a lot. I'm looking forward to the wedding, to be honest I'm hoping it doesn't go ahead.moreless

  • Rory helps build a house and discovers she's way behind on her extracurricular activities to help her get into Harvard.

This was a pretty good episode. I really enjoyed it. I thought it was rather funny that she would choose to help build a house. I felt sorry for her when she discovered that she was way behind on her extracurriculars to impress Harvard with. You would have thought that someone would have mentioned it to her before now. The fight with Dean was terrible though. I hat when that sort of thing happens. I am a happy ending type of gitl. The furry hammer was quite funny as well. Leave it to Lorelai to do something like that. She is so wacky.moreless

Lorelai tells Emily about her news, but because she is mad at Lorelai for not telling her, Emily brushes it off. Lorelai is really hurt by that gesture. Paris tells Rory about how you need extra stuff in order to go to Harvard. Rory panics and blows off her time with Dean in order to find volunteer work. Sookie plans a big wedding shower for Lorelai and Max. Lorelai really wants Luke to come. Lane leaves for Korea.

This was a good episode! I don't think Lorelai and Max should get married. I was glad to see Paris added to the opening credits! This episode gets an 8.5 out of 10!moreless

It's summer and Rory signs up to some extracurricular activities like building a house for charity. Paris tells her that she has been doing those activities since she was 10 and Rory freaks out. She has a fight with Dean about that but the made up later.

Lorelai tells Emily she is getting married and Emily just took it like "look, a piano", she says she may not be in town and goes to the kitchen.

Richard and Rory made up and it's OK between them.

After dinner with Max, Lorelai makes a decision and goes to her parents house and has a fight with her mother. Emily reveals that she already knew about the wedding.

Lorelai finds out about the engagment party Sookie, Rory and the hole town is planning.

    Lane goes to Korea.

At the end, everything ends wellmoreless

    • When we first met Henry, we learned that he was very bright and had aspirations to go to Medical school. In this episode, he tells Rory he is taking his trig class for a third time. This is inconsistent for someone who wants to go to Med school because they would have to be very good in the maths and sciences. Even if he wasn't that good in math, he would certainly be bright enough to pass it the first time around. Edit
    • When Lorelai is pouring coffee in the thermos for Rory to take to the construction site, she gets Rory to screw on the cap. Rory screws on the cap and puts the thermos in her backpack but forgets to screw on the cup part of the thermos. Edit
    • When Lorelai finds out that Rory is going to help build houses she laughs at her and asks her if they know about the burned out light bulb in her closet that she hasn't changed, but in Season 4 episode, "Ballrooms and Biscotti" when she opens her closet and hugs her clothes you can see there is no room for a light at all. • Lorelai: Okay, I'm officially way too tired to go out tonight so I'm not trusting my accessorizing instincts. Tell me what you think. Rory: I have no wilderness skills. Lorelai: So you hate the purse? Rory: How am I supposed to get into Harvard if I have no wilderness skills? Lorelai: I don't know honey. Maybe you'll have to give up your dream of majoring in logging. Rory: I called the Fireflies. Do they need troop leaders? Yes. Good, I'll be a troop leader. Great. The only catch is, it's summer. Camping season. I need wilderness skills. Why did you never take me camping? Lorelai: Camping? Are you kidding? I couldn't get you to step on wet grass until you were three. Rory: If you had taken me camping, I'd have wilderness skills. Lorelai: Well, I'll tell you what. I'll take you upstairs, I'll throw you out the window. If you manage to grab that tree, I'll be your witness. Edit
    • Lorelai: What about Dad? Emily: We're starting without him. Lorelai: Why? He's the one with the six o'clock flight. We don't have to go anywhere. We could stay all night. Kick back, do some jello shots, play light as a feather, sitff as a board... Richard: You started without me! Edit
    • Luke: There's nothing like a wedding to screw up a family. Lorelai: Well in my case, there's nothing like a family to screw up a family. Luke: It starts out all very nice, two people promising to be together forever, I'll die when you die, my life meant nothing till you used my toothbrush. Then you start planning the wedding. Aunt Junie's allergic to milk. Uncle Momo's off his meds... Lorelai: Junie and Momo? Luke: They're names. Lorelai: Of a retired circus couple? Luke: Then the ceremony's a disaster, a ring is lost, someone can't sit there with their ex, someone's drunk, someone's sleeping with someone else's wife, and somone's walked off with a gift or two. Lorelai: You know, the Gettysburg Address was only one page long. And that was about a war. Edit
