  • Christopher meets with Lorelai and Rory, Lane's band plays a showcase. Good episode, not anything like the previous four though.

So Christopher is back and appears to be 'rich'. I don't know if I trust this new development in his life or not, but for some reason Rory agrees to let him pay for Yale, well actually I like the reason - she's had enough of her grandparents. I can't wait for more Friday night dinners now.

Anyway, Rory is back and this is being told top everyone. It is good to have her back, the start with Paul Anka and the sugar toes was amusing. I think she'll move in with Paris and Doyle, which should be great as always. Logan doesn't appear but Rory is shocked when his sister rings asking about there break-up.

Rory not knowing that this break-up takes place is speechless. I'm not sure if Logan is a good match yet, he'll have to prove it to me. Luke finally tells someone about his daughter, he tells Liz. Who seems less shocked then I would think. He calls there house but it goes to the machine with April talking.

Zach was being a jerk here, it wasn't like Brian was trying to steal Lane. He ruins there big chance and the showcase and basically breaks up with a shattered Lane, I feel so sorry for her. I look forward to more....Luke needs to come clean with Lorelai, she did with him.moreless

i am so happy that rory is back at home with lorelai where she belongs not at her grandparents house. i thought that sookies reaction to seeing rory was classic sookie in previous episodes she kept he staff on there toes with her movements and reactions and they brought that back in this episode. i thought that it was really weird with michel's reaction to seeing rory back at the dragonfly was priceless who knew that he liked rory that much to seem that happy to see her. i was really disappointed in zack in this episode that he would be that jealous brain wrote a song called lane that he would blow there big chance of making it big in the music world.moreless

  • Rory's finally getting back on track. But with Christopher and Luke's 'daughter' there's new trouble approaching...

This episode marks a pivot of Season 6:

Rory's finally bethinking and returns to Yale, moves in back home and starts pursuing her dream to become a journalist by working at the Yale Daily News and a part-time job at the Stamford Gazette.

However, there's new trouble on the way since Christopher is stepping back into both the Lorelais' lives. Although he states, he does not want to mess things up, it's hard to believe him. He has caused trouble too many times.

Finally, there's the thing about Lukes 'daughter' April. Who would've thought of that? It'll be interesting how this situation's gonna turn out. Well, we'll see but I think Lorelai & Luke will get over this.moreless

  • I think this ep marks part of a change in season 6 episodes.

I thought this episode was a fine example of Gilmore Girls. I am glad that the eps have been getting better since the episode just before Rory came back.

Gotta say I\'m not not fond of the new \'rich Christopher, it seems strange to me to see this guy trying to throw money around around. I am glad that Lorelai didn\'t accept any herself, because I really don\'t think its Lorelai to accept charity. It was probably good for Rory to finally be out from under her grandparents thumb too.

As it will have occured to a number of people I find it ironically amusing that after reading the riot act to Lorelai about keeping secrets that Luke is keeping a really big one himself.

In short though, its good to have Lorelai back together as a unit. The way they \'bounced\' off each other is something I missed. And I certainly hope Logan stays out of the way.moreless

  • Not a bad episode, not much happened though

This episode felt like it was just going through the motions a bit. There wasn't anything dramatic to happen, but after the last few episodes of torture (seeing Rory wasting her time at her grandparents and Logan) we finally seemed to be free of that cycle. I know that Rory will be reunited with Logan and I think that's a bad idea but I am still happy they have this little "hiatus"
Everyone seemed a little distracted; Luke with the introduction of his daughter and Lorelai's paranoia about Luke's reaction to Christopher. I am glad to finally see Luke understand about Christopher's presence in the GG lives after finding out about his own family and I felt this episode was a nice way of leveling out the feelings of all parties after the downward spiral since last season.
The only exception was of course Lane and Zach's relationship and his difficulty dealing with the fact that Brian had written a song about her. Typical male reaction and there was nothing suprising about it. The conflict during their show was quite amusing and worth looking out for.moreless

    • Liz appears in this episode for Thanksgiving dinner, but T.J. is mysteriously absent. Edit
    • When Lorelai and Rory walk into Luke's Diner Luke is very excited to see Rory and welcomes her back. But in the previous episode Lorelai runs to Luke's and tells him to make burgers and fries for Rory's return and then she runs out of the diner. Are we to believe that Luke, who made the food for Rory and lives at Lorelai's house somehow did not see Rory between the time she returned home and the next morning when she comes to the diner? Edit
    • When Rory comes in to see Sookie, Sookie gets so excited that she throws her hands up and screams, and the chef next to her sends the food in his hands flying because Sookie supposedly knocked him over. If you look closely, Sookie doesn't even touch him when he goes down. Sookie does not hit the chef; there is a roll of paper towels on the table by Sookie. When she sees Rory, she gets excited, hits the roll, it flies up, hits the server in the face and then he drops what he's carrying. Edit

    • Episode Title: He's Slippin' 'Em Bread...Dig? This refers to the movie, DiG! which follows the bands The Dandy Warhols and the Brian Jonestown Massacre through seven years. In DiG!, the lead singer of the BJM starts a fight onstage with his band members at a showcase, very similar to Brian's behavior in this episode. Also, the tambourine player that Brian hires appears to be one of the members of the actual band, the BJM. And by Brian I mean Zach... Edit
