  • Sookie's wedding day arrives. A good finale, not the best episode of the season but a good end.

    9.4
    "Superb"
As always this was a great episode of Gilmore Girls. It had comedy, drama, all thrown into the mix. I don't know, it just wasn't as brilliant as I thought it would be. Don't get me wrong, it was a really great episode, I just didn't think it was the best finale they could have done.

Maybe it was due to Christopher's presence, he had a big one and it mind of didn't have to do with other storylines from the season. I think he's alright as a character but it felt a tad rushed. Seriously there were great parts in the episode. A major highlight being Rory finally kissing Jess. Probably my favourite scene of the episode, it was really well done.

I think I liked it so much because it has been leading up to it for a number of episodes and I like them as a couple. It was great how Rory gave in, then ran off, shocked what she had done. I wonder if Jess will be a different guy next season. He seems to be getting better here, his talk with Luke was a good sign.

Luke and Lorelai not making up was a bit annoying, especially how distant Luke was being to her, I mean she did apologise. I do think Chris and Lorelai as a couple is good, I just would have preferred him maybe to come back in the episode before, set it up a little bit.

Sookie and Jackson bits were good, like the kilt, Sookie freaking out but I didn't think there was enough. maybe a bit more would have been good. Paris was entertaining, her talks with Madeline and Louise were amusing. As was Emily and Richards disgust at the 'pity invite'.

Sherry being pregnant wasn't a shock only because I read about it, maybe it made it less enjoyable. I still liked the turn of events, it was too good to be true with them becoming a family again. Should be an interesting story as well. Liked Lorelai's reaction to it.

The end was good, both the Gilmore girls walking down the aisle. So it was a good finale, I really can't wait to watch the season three box set.
  • My review makes sense of what I am about to express. If only Jess and Rory's love could've lasted.

'Tearjerker' best classifies this episode because after the many pivotal and overwhelming developments that occur, one cannot help but become teary-eyed when all is relaxed at the most heart-pounding and satisfiying momement of the show. It's the dream of every guy and girl: to feel at peace, enraptured, & whole, by the one you love.

I reference when Rory impulsively & passionatly kisses Jess, on his return to Star's Hollow. It is at Sookie's wedding under a veil of ivory blossomed trees, an unexpected consumation of teen love neccessary to release and relieve the built-up pressures of the episode.
  • Preparations for Sookie and Jackson's wedding, and interactions between Lorelai and Christopher

    9.2
    "Superb"
The major focus of this episode was the relationship between Christopher and Lorelai. He comes into town to see Rory get her cast off, and decides to stay for Sookie and Jackson's wedding. He has a room at the Inn, and he and Lorelai spend the night together. It seems that Lorelai and Christopher are going to "take up where they left off" and form the traditional family of mom, dad, and daughter Rory. But then Christopher gets a devestating phone call from Sherry, who tells him she's pregnant. Suddenly all of Christopher and Lorelai's plans are out the window.

The other major thing going on in this episode is preparaton for Sookie and Jackson's wedding. Sookie gets nervous the night before the wedding, but Lorelai calms her down. Then, at the wedding, Rory sees Jess and impulsively gives him a passionate kiss. She then runs off, stunned at what she has done.
  • Sookie's wedding and more surprises

Sookie is getting married and soon.

The Inn is beautiful and looks like everyone is back.

Lorelai invites Emily and Richard to the wedding and she finally enters Luke's diner.

Rory and Dean are OK and Paris is running for the student body.

She is considered the most intelligent and efficient but not the most friendly so she bags Rory to be vice-president. She says yes.

Rory plaster comes off and Chris arrives to see it.

At the rehearsal dinner he confesses that the things between him and Sherrie are not great.

Later he and Lorelai sleep together and think about trying to be together.

Sookie is freaking out with the dress, the cake, everything.

Jess is back, he really wants to come back to Stars Hollow.

At the weeding Rory and Jess kiss and Chris finds out that Sherrie is pregnant and he leaves.

It's a weird way to be at a wedding but OK.

I wish we could see the actual wedding...
  • This is a very funny episode where Sookie is getting ready to get married to Jackson and Christopher comes back to visit Lorelai and Rory. This episode is filled with so many funny scenes and our favorite phrase, oy with the poodles already!

This apisode is a perfect example of why I like this series. There is never a dull moment when you watch a show like this. This is one of my favorite episodes because Sookie is getting married, Jess comes back for Rory, Christopher comes back for Lorelai, Lorelai is trying to get Luke back, and of course, there is always Emily and Richard. My two favorite parts are when Sookie totally freaks about her wedding and comes to the inn wearing her wedding dress, and flipping out about the flowers that are on the cake and what she is going to serve and of course, the phrase that knocked "what'cha doin Willis" out of first place, "Oy with the poodles already!"
  • New relationships blossom, old relationships rekindle but again collapse, and Sookie finally weds! A wonderful episode!

This is one of the BEST episodes of Gilmore Girls. Finally, we see a big development in Rory and Jess's relationship as he returns and shares his first kiss with Rory. Lorelai and Christopher have a special night together, making both of them exceedingly happy. However, Sherry (Chris's girlfriend at the time) phones Chris the next day and informs him that she is pregnant. Knowing this, Christopher tells Lorelai he does not want to miss out on raising his child like he did with Rory, and leaves her to go back and be with Sherry. Lorelai (and Rory) are heartbroken that he leaves, but stay happy for Sookie, who weds Jackson in a lovely ceremony. Highlights-Rory & Jess's relationship takes a big turn when Jess returns to Stars Hollow to be with Rory. Also, Lauren Gramham's acting is SUPERB is in this episode--her reaction to her and Christopher's one night stand and her heartbroken goodbye as he leaves to be with Sherry are perfect. Plus, Chris and Lorelai's quick relationship/break up leads to some great moments at Friday night dinner's and builds on their future relationship.
  • the first signs of love with jess and rory...aw, i love it. their first kiss. <3

I absolutely love this episode! It's funny with sookie being all nervous about her wedding, and it's shocking with the flame reigniting between lor and chris... and, of course, it's romantic with rory unexpectedly kissing jess! my favorite part! This episode of gilmore girls had everything i could hope for in just one hour. after seeing this for the first time, i was left 100% satisfied and ready to watch more and more to find out what would happen in the upcoming episodes. After this episode i lost my doubt in whether or not this series was good and i've been hooked on it ever since.

i loved this episode i thought that it was a great storyline and it kept me on my toes the whole time i watched it and it still does for some reason. i was really happy that christopher and his girlfriend broke up and he was willing to give him and lorelai a try. it was really hilarious that jackson had to wear a kilt on his wedding day i did not expect that. as usual emily is annoyingly rude about how she was invited to the wedding. i felt realy bad for lorelai when she found out about christopher getting his girlfriend pregnanat and he was going to go back to her. i was really disappointed that rory would kiss jess evan though she is dating dean.
  • This episode is exactly the reason why I watch the series. Rory and Jess kiss for the first time! Sookie and Jackson get married! Chris impregnanted his girlfriend, leaving him and Lorelai off again!

This episode is from beginning to end quite possibly my favorite Gilmore Girls episode ever. I adore the fact that we FINALLY get to see something happen with Rory and Jess saga/ epic romance that had been building since they first introduced him. It was also nice to see god girl Rory do a not so nice thing. On the flip side, was Lorelai who, decided to reopen the Boook of Christopher, only to have her heart broken and be absolutley crushed. Then we have of course, the now classic, "Oy with the poodles already!" Overall, in my opinion best season finale so far!
  • Wow - a phenomenal season finale

This finale was brilliant. The wedding of Sookie and Jackson was just the crazy, Stars Hollow wedding it should have been full of fun and big surprises! The kiss between Rory and Jess was so adorable and a little sad to watch Jess left standing there as she ran back to the wedding. The Christopher-Lorelai storyline is really revealing here as we see just how much she cares for him. The end of this episode is sad for Lorelai, of course, and for Dean who is somewhat clueless as to what Rory has been up to with Jess. The only thing this episode leaves you wanting is MORE!
  • Wow and wow and wow.

So much happening in this episode. Sookie is getting married (yay), Jess comes back and Rory kisses him (uh, yay?), Chris visits and Lorelai kisses him in public. (Oh, yay.)

I know Luke and Lorelai have been moving toward each other for a long, lonnggg time by now (season 6) but I really loved Lorelai and Christopher together. They 'get' each other. I hope by the end of the series the writers find a way to allow Luke to soften up toward Chris, because he's such a part of Lorelai's history -- really one of the sweeter things she had in her teenage years -- and it'd be a shame to see her deny her history because of Luke's insecurity.

Now, back to the episode!! Sorry for the digression. Rory had been moving toward Jess for a while -- he could spar with her mentally -- but she was just too nice to tell Dean that her feelings had cooled. Maybe she didn't know. The writers did a great job showing those complex feelings we have with young love. Confusing. Startling. We all knew she'd wind up with Jess, at least for a while.

And I know this isn't a popular opinion now, but I'll always love Christopher's character in the same way Lorelai did. They were so fun together.
  • There are so many words in which I can describe an episode such as this.

I absolutely love this episode and that explains why I have watch it 101 times. Its just so wow. First of all Sookies going to get married which is exciting because Sookies cool. Lorelai and Chris seem as though they are going to hook up but I could care less for Chris but he ends up leaving with the decision that he wants to start a new life with his new future daughter. I don't blame Chris he could not be there for his first daughter so why not try your best to be there for your secound. Finally my favorite part of this episode, the very end. Jess, the lovable sarcastic Jess returns from New york. Rory approaches him asks him for his reasons in returning. His answer " I just wanted to" boom Rory kisses him right on thespot even though she has a boyfriend. It showed how Rory really felt about this guy and will carve the episodes to come in season three. This has to be my favorite season finale episode of the Gilmore Girls.
  • This was an amazing episode of Gilmore Girls.

This was an amazing episode of Gilmore Girls.

Sookie is getting married and the wedding preperations are just too funny, especially when Jacksons father hands him a kilt to wear for the wedding & Jackson doesn't want to & expects Sookie to say no to the idea but instead tells him he should wear it.

Another great moment in this episode is the return of Jess, and him practicly begging Luke to let him stay with him in Stars Hollow, & then the kiss he & Rory share when she see's that he's back.

And then ther's the best part of the episode, Christopher & Lorelai kiss & Lorelai spends the night with him, he's finally prepared to commit & then he gets a call from Sherry telling him that she's pregnant.

I can't wait till the next episode.
  • This is my favorite episode of all time!!!!!

This is my all time favorite episode. From the wedding to Christopher to the kiss I was on the edge of my seat. I watch this episode over and over again and it never gets old. I almost know every word to the episode. I was very excited with the match-ups (Jess and Rory & Lorelai and Christopher). I love Rory and Jess together they are the bomb. They clique soooo well. Lorelai and Christopher are also a good couple. Best episode ever.
  • Wonderful episode !

To tell you the truth, this episode is really why I watch this series ! (Yes I know this season has been broadcast several years ago ... but I didn't know it and I've just bought the DVDs and can't stop watching them over and over again) ...

I'm so glad that Jess is back, despite the fact that I really like Dean ...

But I'm pissed by the fact that Cherrie is now pregnant, I really would have liked Lorelai and Christopher to get back together for good ...

Anyway, the episode ends with the idea that Rory's going to Washington during summer and Lorelai will stay alone in Stars Hollow ... I can't wait to know what's going to happen to both of them !
