As always this was a great episode of Gilmore Girls. It had comedy, drama, all thrown into the mix. I don't know, it just wasn't as brilliant as I thought it would be. Don't get me wrong, it was a really great episode, I just didn't think it was the best finale they could have done.
Maybe it was due to Christopher's presence, he had a big one and it mind of didn't have to do with other storylines from the season. I think he's alright as a character but it felt a tad rushed. Seriously there were great parts in the episode. A major highlight being Rory finally kissing Jess. Probably my favourite scene of the episode, it was really well done.
I think I liked it so much because it has been leading up to it for a number of episodes and I like them as a couple. It was great how Rory gave in, then ran off, shocked what she had done. I wonder if Jess will be a different guy next season. He seems to be getting better here, his talk with Luke was a good sign.
Luke and Lorelai not making up was a bit annoying, especially how distant Luke was being to her, I mean she did apologise. I do think Chris and Lorelai as a couple is good, I just would have preferred him maybe to come back in the episode before, set it up a little bit.
Sookie and Jackson bits were good, like the kilt, Sookie freaking out but I didn't think there was enough. maybe a bit more would have been good. Paris was entertaining, her talks with Madeline and Louise were amusing. As was Emily and Richards disgust at the 'pity invite'.
Sherry being pregnant wasn't a shock only because I read about it, maybe it made it less enjoyable. I still liked the turn of events, it was too good to be true with them becoming a family again. Should be an interesting story as well. Liked Lorelai's reaction to it.
The end was good, both the Gilmore girls walking down the aisle. So it was a good finale, I really can't wait to watch the season three box set.
