The secret's out

"Great"
Well, the secret Luke has been keeping from Lorelei has finally come out. And yet there is more wedding drama. I am all for something that becomes a running story arc, but this wedding thing is starting to get a little bit old for me. Don't get me wrong, I love the whole thing, and I can't wait for it to actually happen, but the road to the altar is getting a little bumpy. Anyone else think so?. I know weddings don't happen over night, but the longer this story goes, the less interesting it gets. Like I said, I am ecstatic they are getting married and I can't wait for it to actually happen, but leading up to it is getting boring. Basically because they haven't really done anything to spice it up. Oh, some things get in the way, or someone thinks it's too soon, and it's postponed. Maybe it would be better if there was a little more oomph to the wedding plans. We know now that Christopher is coming back and he is supposed to figure into the wedding plans, so how many more times will the wedding have obstacles?. However, I have heard that Christopher's figuration into the wedding proceedings will not be what everyone thinks. This is what I hear. It won't be?. Could Mr. Deep Pockets actually help with the wedding?. Pay for the whole shindig?. I guess we will find out when the time comes. And then there is April. I adore April, and I will get to her in a little bit. So, this was a pretty good episode. Not as good as last week, but it was good. I'm happy whenever Stars Hollow is covered in snow and there's some big town thing going on. Anywho, on with the show. What happened?...
The episode starts off with Lorelei and Luke being awakened by Kirk and church bells. It's three in the morning and there is a town meeting. Taylor is in Maine and has called a meeting for the upcoming winter carnival. He won't make it back in time, but Kirk takes the reins and all seems well. Funny opening, but If I was awoken at 3 in the morning, in the cold, for a town meeting by Taylor, I would be taking that computer screen he was on and putting into a place where Taylor would be extremely uncomfortable. I'm just saying!.
But it's all about Luke, April, and how he hasn't told the woman he is going to marry about this new person in his life. Luke wants a relationship with April, and everyone seems to oblige him. He meets up with April in a park, and they set up another get together for the next day. April just wants to come and spend the day in the diner. Apparently, diners fascinate her. She is an interesting kid. Luke agrees, but seems to want to stop it later that night. He calls Anna and tries to get out of it, but she fights him on it by saying that he can't do that. He wants a relationship and now he seems to be backing out of it. He relents and agrees. But what if someone, namely Lorelei, comes into the diner?. Thankfully, Lorelei tells him that she will be too busy with her booth for the winter carnival and she won't come in. Perfect. But she does, and April is there. In a brief conversation with April, she learns everything. Luke spills the beans about everything. It's out. Surprisingly, Lorelei took it better than I thought, and it wasn't all "drama" as I was expecting. She is obviously stunned and not quite sure what to say or how to react. She tells Rory too. You can't help but bring up Luke's speech about honesty and trust a few episodes back. But at the same time, one can understand his predicament and why he held it secret for so long. This is huge. This isn't just some random news that comes into your life. One's head would have to be swirling and cloudy with such life changing news. He was confused and probably scared as to what this new development would do with the wedding to the woman he loves. It's perfectly understandable. You may of thought "tell her!" right from the beginning, but it's hard to imagine what one would do or think when put into such a situation. But Lorelei seems okay as she can be at the moment, and is willing to work on it. What she probably isn't okay with is Luke saying that the wedding date of June 3 is so soon. She suggests postponing it and he wants that. Poor Lorelei. Will those wedding bells ring before the series ends for good?.
The least interesting part of this episode is everything that happens with Rory, Logan, and Paris. Quite frankly, the very, very small part about Zack and Lane was more fun to watch. The crew at the paper are none too thrilled with Paris and her ways. Rory stumbles upon the workers having a secret meeting. They tell Rory that something must be done with Paris and Rory sits in on their meeting. When Rory brings this to Paris' attention, it doesn't do what everyone would of hoped it would of done. It makes it worse. Paris gets nastier about it and makes the office even worse. Needless to say, Rory's co-workers seem to be displeased with her. But Rory has other drama as well. Logan. He is still after her. He is so desperate that he actually goes to Lorelei for help. He's got stones, that kid. He seems to of gotten through, somewhat, to Lorelei, and he tries again with Rory. Lorelei wrote something in a letter about Logan(that he gave to her), but we never really know what. Whatever it said, Rory lightens up and agrees on having dinner with Logan. It's a start. Watching Paris be mean and funny is fun, but watching Paris just be mean and nasty is not. I didn't care for that part at all. I am so done with Logan as well. I don't care for him and find his actions with Rory uninteresting. I hope it doesn't last long.
So, this was a decent episode. Mostly for the Luke/Lorelei/April dynamic and the winter carnival. Taylor does make it back, and he spies on the festivities. But everyone knows it's him in the not so great disguise. Now that April is know and it's all out, who knows where it will take us. I really like April. The actress who plays her is great. You can't deny that fact. She is a very talented young actress. She fits right into the show and it's characters like a glove. This episode was pleasing and nice to watch, but with the exception of the April secret coming out, it was pretty routine.
