I would have to say that every time i watch re-runs of Gilmore Girls this one has to be my favorite. I love how Jess is so angry at Rory and she doesn't even know what she did. She runs off crying and here comes Dean to the rescue. He runs after Jess and starts punching him. We then see Lane calling her mom and telling her that she is in a band and that she is in love with Dave and she is drunk at that very second. Lorelai offers Luke and Nicole a room at the Inn for helping out with the after-fire of their place. She is there to turn down the room and when she sees that it is them that is using the suite she is uncomfortable with the situation. After the fight with Dean Jess runs off without a word to Rory. End of episode.moreless

  • The teens go to a party where Lane's band has a gig. Lorelai goes to another boosters meeting. Another great one.

The fight between Dean and Jess was a long time coming and it was entertaining how it came about. Jess and Rory get heated when they fall onto the bed kissing, Rory says no to sex and Jess outbursts at Rory, who bursts into tears. This does show how much Dean cares for Rory, I wonder how Lindsey felt about this, she seemed nicer to Rory in the episode though.

It was nice of Jess to care about the prom so much because of Rory and I guess him being annoyed was expected. Lane being drunk was funny, loved how she called Mrs Kim and admitted everything, that should be interesting. Dave and her should get together soon.

I'm glad Max has finally gone from the show, I was getting sick of him. His scene in the classroom was funny though. I also liked the whole Lorelai looking after money for the boosters thing, it was amusing. There was loads of great small things here too, like the opening scene with the Gilmore's first Friday night off in a few years.

    Great episode again.moreless

First Friday without going to dinner to Emily and Richard's house. They without anything to do and Emily and Richard throwing a party. The prom is here.

It's Lane's band first gig and they have a plane to keep Mrs Kim out.

Since last episode Jess's car disappeared, I have almost sure that it was Luke, the look on his face was guilty.

The Inn is very bad, they have to fire a lot of people, that's bad...

Lorelai is summoned to the Boaster Club, Max shows up and both play it cool. The Chilton graduation party is coming.

Those guys, the party organizers were so weird, they looked all bad and rebel but the house preparation, taking everything out, piking the worst things to use lol

Jess is not graduating, he is in a real bad mood, that's a great way to end a party, fight, cops...

It was fun to see Lane drunk calling Mrs Kim, that was really fun. And the one with Lorelai and Max too. The 10 feet distance lol

Jess was a jerk with Rory at the party, in the room, it had to end in a fight...moreless

  • Lorelai runs into Max at a Chilton booster club meeting. Lane's band play at a party which ends badly.

This episode is probably one of my favourites. It has everything Ive come to know and love about this show - fast, witty dialogue, quirky characters, great relationships etc - and some extra revelations and excitement.
Lorelai is coerced into joining the Chilton Booster Club where she runs into Max who plays it cool. This upsets Lorelai so she goes to speak to him causing him to reveal that he isnt over her and thinks they should stay away from each other. This was actually a really sad moment. I thought Max and Lorelai were really good together and it was sad to hear him say they should stay away from each other. Especially since the look on her face was one of hurt.
The party however was the main attraction. Kyle, the host, 21 year old cousin shows up with a beer keg. Lane, who is frustrated and upset by the Young Chui/Dave situation gets drunk, phones her mother and tells her everything! Everything about Dave and the band and everything shes spent so long and worked so hard to keep a secret.
Jess as always is being moody and obnoxious however this time he has a reason - hes just flunked out of school and been told he isnt allowed to go to Prom (which he has promised Rory he'd get tickets for). Rory goes upstairs (to a dark and deserted bedroom) to check hes ok. Inevitably things start to heat up. Rory tries to leave before anything actually does happen and Jess yells at her causing Rory to run out the house in tears. Not before she runs into a concerned Dean however.
Jess sees Rory with Dean and gets annoyed/jealous, Dean runs after Jess and punches him. A full blown fight ensues, with people trying to break it up unsuccessfully, trashing most of the house and ending in the garden where the cops arrive. It was all really exciting. I think I yelled at the TV a couple of times and gasped a few times. Lane telling Mrs Kim everything is bound to have all kinds of repercussions. As will the fight obviously. It was a heck of a fight and it had to happen eventually! All very well done too. Although Rory probably could have done a bit more. She just kind of followed them around feebly shouting guys stop it. Most of the time she wasnt even in the shot. She could have attempted to break Dean and Jess up. Ok so the guys who were trying were getting thrown all over the place by them but neither Jess nor Dean would have wanted to hurt Rory so if she had got in the way they would have avoided hitting her and stopped. Right? Hmmm, maybe she was sensible to stay out the way...
Did anyone else cringe ALOT when Lorelai was in Luke and Nicole's room. I really wanted her to just get out. It was painful to watch.
Over all a very exciting and well done episode. Lots of issues ended up out in the open.moreless
