  • Rory bonds with her grandfather which shocks Lorelai. The series is getting better with each episode.

    9.4
    "Superb"
I really liked this episode, again both storylines. I like how Lorelai acts towards her mother Emily, how sarcastic she is and how she makes many jokes. There confrontation at the start of the episode was interesting, I look forward to more of these.

Rory getting on with her Grandfather was interesting, I liked how there were silences but they gradually went away as they started to bind. The steam rooms were funny, 'the most odious woman ever' good lines. Rory not be good at golf was funny, the grandfathers face was hilarious, such surprise.

The wedding was another hilarious part to the episode; the whole twin's thing was weird but added humour. I love the French guy, I forget his name, he is very funny, the swan thing was amusing. The harp woman is also great. As always, Lorelai is my favourite character, through drama and humour. Her jealousy was done well and was believable.

Rory and Lorelai's argument was really funny, Lorelai talking about how big there breasts were, hilarious. It looks like they'll be a few of these fights, which is a great thing. Sookie and the strawberries was also funny, her chasing the guy down the street.

So Gilmore Girls continues to impress me and in my view, this was the best episode yet, it had a lot of humour and was a great setup for the rest of the series.
  • in this episode rory has to pick a tema sport and ends up going golfing with richard:thanks to emily! and lorelai hosts a crazy wedding at the independence_complete with twin couples and an irritated mother! and rory decides she doesnt want 2 go 2 chilton

this episode is very funny and definitley is a classic GG episode! rory has to take up a team sport and emily suggests richard take her golfing, even through lorelai's denies. rory goes and endes up having a GREAT time which is good because it strengthens her realtionship with her grandfather..and thats really sweet. and its really where rory and richard start to like each other and really get to know one another! lorelai hosts a weding at the independence and finds out michel is afraid of ducks!! a pair of twins are getting married and its freakishly odd..to use post-its to figure out which one is which! and the mother of the twins is quite funny talking about how its sooo difficult with the girls and soup or salad soup or salad??? haha and talking about howe her most pleasent moment of motherhood was labor..hahahah. rory meets a BEAUTIFUL boy named dean at stars hollow high and tells lor she doesnt want to go to chilton anymore. when lorelai finds out why it ends in a huge fight that leaves the gilmore girls not tlkaing. but of course at the end of the episode all is well again. and its sooo incredible unbelievable that these writers can put that much conflict in one episode is magnificnat!!
  • Rory plays golf with her grandfather, and Lorelei hosts a crazy wedding at the Inn

    9.2
    "Superb"
This was a heart-warming episode, unlike the last one which was mainly about Rory's conflicts in her school. At Friday night dinner, Rory mentions that she has to pick a sport to play at her school. Among the alternatives, of which there are many, golf is listed. Emily immediately gets the idea that Richard could teach Rory golf at his club. Lorelei doens't like this idea at all, and takes Emily off to the side to try to talk her out of it. But Emily says she's not the only "controlling" one in the family, so Lorelei finally lets her proceed with her plan. Richard at first is reluctant as well, telling Emily that Rory would probably rather be at the mall. But Emily is adamant, she wants Richard to show off Rory at the club. When Rory and her grandfather do get together, they start getting along better and better. Richard finds out that he is lucky to have a granddaughter as intelligent and charming as Rory, and Rory responds to her grandfather's affection. Later, Lorelie out of jealousy gets into a crazy argument with Rory about "stretching" her sweater. Rory says she's "cracked." Then Lorelie realizes it was a silly argument and apologizes to Rory. Later, at the wedding, Rory sees an overbearing mother chastising her little girl for running around in her good dress. Rory thanks her mother for not dressing her like that when she was a little girl.
  • I liked it a lot!

Rory has to pick a sport so Emily suggests golf with Richard on Saturday. Both are reluctant to go and Lorelai doesn't want Rory to go either. Lorelai is hosting a wedding at Indepedence Inn for two sets of twins. Rory actually has a fun day with her grandfather as does he. Lorelai seems jealous of Rory's relationship with Richard.

This was a great episode! The two sets of twins was pretty interesting! That would be awkward for me, especially since I don't have a twin. This was also a pretty funny episode. Kill Me Now gets a 9.5 out of 10!
  • Richard trys to teah rory how to golf and they bond a little, and loreali gets jealous. Meanwhile lorelai keeps busy with a double wedding.

Loved it. I like how in this episode we see rory bond with her granfather a little. At first richard doesn't really think rory will enjoy it because of how old she is and he doesn't want to waste his time but by the end of the episode i think hes glad that they went because they bonded and richard saw how special rory really was. It was kind of like a character development. Excellent writting as per usual. Also we see a small rift beteween mother and daughter. Loreali gets sort of jealous that rory is bonding with her grandfather and had a good time golfing when loreali though she wouldn't.
  • Finding out more about the gilmore girls

    what a crazy episode!

twins marrying twins, golf day, Sookie chasing Jackson down the street, bra size discussions!

Despite not liking the idea of taking Rory to the golf club, her grandfather was proud of her, she is better than all the other men's granddaughters... he was really happy and the fact that she found out all the dirties of the club in the steam...

Is normal that Lorelai gets jealous, she run from that life as soon as she could and now Rory is getting to know it, to like it and to talk more with her grandfather..

How crazy was the twins wedding?? twin girls marrying twin guys??
  • An excellent episode to have a the beginning of the show, revealing even more about Lorelais' relationship with her parents and how that has affected Rory.

Using the incredibly funny (and freaky) double twin wedding with a mother wanting to be rid of both her children, and seeing the overbearing mother telling her young daughter to sit properly while Lorelai and Rory were both watching, were effective in telling more about the character of Lorelai without having to say anything specific. The dinner at her parents house expanded on this, with her realization she was more like her mother than she ever thought (or wanted to be), and was assuming things about her daughter that her own mother had always done with her. It was good to see Rory bond with her grandfather in her own way (and she didn't end up even having to like golf to do it, it was just the time spent together that did it). How often does this happen in real life? Just because you may not get along so well with your parents, doesn't mean that your own children won't get along with them... there's something about that generational gap that is rather mysterious.
  • Lorelai deals with planning the wedding of extremely spoiled twins, and Rory bonds with her grandfather.

    8.0
    "Great"
This episode is a great deal better than the first two episodes of the series. Between the two sets of twins getting married, Rory learning the "joys" of golf, and the fast-paced witty dialogue (a trademark of the show) which is extremely well-represented in this episode, it's definitely worth watching! My only regret was that the spoiled twins' mother didn't have a more vital (and frequent) role in the episode. Watching Rory and her grandfather's slightly awkward beginnings begin turn into the extremely close relationship that they eventually have is extremely interesting, and probably one of the more important things that happens in this episode (plus, watching Rory attempt to golf is extremely entertaining). We also get a lovely inside look at life inside a country club (which I found vastly amusing) and little glimpse of Sookie and Jackson's arguementative yet flirty (and slightly dangerous when cars are involved) business relationship. Also we see Lorelai's relationship with her parents to Rory's relationship with Lorelai's parents, the end scene is particularly telling, particularly since that dynamic (Emily, Richard and Rory all together and Lorelai sort of estranged) comes about in the sixth season as well. Overall an important episode for everyone.

Rory has to pick a sport and Emily seggests that Richard teaches her to play golf.Lorelai tells Emily they both don't really want to go. Emily says that she just doesn't want Rory to have fun without her so Lorelai lets them go. They go and end up finding out alot about eachother and Richard finds out that Rory is alot different then he thought. They have fun and end up getting closer. Menwhile Lorelai is having a wedding at the inn for two sets of identical twins.Who can't agree on anything to get.Lorelai is shocked to find out that Rory had fun with Richard and kind of left out at Friday night dinner because Richard and Rory are closer now.
  • rory spends the day with her grandfather at his country club.

wow what a good episode. rory spends the day with richard so he could teach her how to play golf. i thought that it was really nice for the two of them to spend some time together evan tought i really do not like how it was arranged. emily seems like she is trying to take rory away from her mother. it wasn't all that surpising tought she seems very controlling when it comes to her family i now know why lorelai left in the first place i think that i would have done the same as lorelai if i was in her shoes.
  • so far three of two eposides mention Cake. What is the big deal with the cake in this season? Rory gets to know her grandpa.

At friday night dinner Emily gets the maids name wrong, they eat Cake. and Rory is invited to the club for golf with her grandpa. Rory tells Lorelai as they are leaving you can come with mom. Lorelia responds by telling Rory she would rather stick something sharp in her ear then go to the club or eat her own hand then go to the club.

at the inn Lorelai is putting on a double twin wedding.Lorelai tells Sookie to tell her something happy. Sookie tells herI can't make the strawberry shortcake. Lorelai tells her she is very bad at this game. Michel hates swans we find out because a group of swan attacked him when he was a child. Babette needs a shoe horn and veggie oil to get her cat out from under the porch.Rory went with Richard and enjoyed herself very much. Lorelai was jelous of this and got in a fight with Rory that went something like this.

Rory- what are you talking about.

Lorelai-I'm talking about you taking my sweaters and wear them and stretch them out

Rory- I couldn't possiable stretch them out your boobs are bigger then mine.

    Lorelai-that is not true

    Rory- Yes it is

Lorelai-your boobs are totally bigger then mine

    Rory- your crazy

    Lorelai- do you wanna measure

    Rory- what?

Lorelai- I'm serious go get the measure tape right now

Rory- I am not going to measure my boobs

Lorelai-because you know you are bigger

    Rory-I'm going inside

Lorelai- fine don't measure we'll just compare bras

    Rory-stop it

Lorelai-I will stop it when you quit staling my stuff

    Rory- your cracked

    Lorelai- your bigger

Can you imagn having that fight with your mother? your bigger no your bigger. lets measure. I totally thought it was the funnest.

  • Rory must play a sport at Chilton and twin brides are running Loraeli crazy. Rory reluctantly picks golf and asks Richard for help learning the game. Loraeli is host a double wedding at the Inn and is going bonkers. She also fears that Rory is too close t

This was not their best so far but was quite funny watching a spastic Rory learn golf and that outfit she had to wear. And of course Loraeli did make fun of her to no end. You are starting to see the tug of was starting over who has more time with Rory and it is starting to be a competition over her affection.
  • Lorelai...jealous?

    9.3
    "Superb"
It's so great how Lorelai does not want Rory to enjoy her day with her grandfather. I also think it is classic Gilmore Girls how she takes out her anger on Rory. Instead of calmly discussing it she accuses her of having bigger boobs. This show can always make me laugh no matter what.
  • Rory learns golf as Lorelai realises that Rory might fit perfectly in her 'old' world!

    "Superb"
    I liked this episode

We see Rory communicating better with her grandfather which I find very interesting since Richard has slight interest in Rory at the beginning but they get along very well later on in the episode. I really enjoyed that part of the episode.

Also nice to see that Lorelai was slightly jealous of Rory. She had a good relationship with her grandfather, something Lorelai never had with her father. I think Lorelai was slightly jealous of that, maybe, but also she was scared of the fact that she might loose Rory to a world she left years ago. And she sees her own daughter in that world and she's having fun.

I do think that Lorelai should let Rory make her own decisions when it comes to that but the fight was very interesting. And the bra thing, very funny!

Overall a very interesting episode! Really character development and pivotal because we learn a bit more about Lorelai's fears. It was nice how Emily responded to that, she was right that Lorelai was afraid that Rory liked the world.
  • Rory learns golf with Richard.

Rory has to learn a team sport for school and at friday night dinner Emily suggests golf, and that Richard can teach her. At first Richard is reluctant to help her because he really does not know Rory well. But by playing golf with her he learns that she is truly a great grand daughter. Also the episode if funny because Lorelai has to deal with twins who are getting married to twins. Another funny heartfelt episode.

In this episode we see Rory and her grandfather, Richard, relationship grow. This really puts a bee in Lorelai's preverbial bonnet. Lorelai show us in this episode how much she fears loosing Rory to her grandparents. What effect this has on her and Rory's everyday living. It also shows that Rory and Lorelia's relationship has its ups and downs.

The Wedding at the Inn also puts stress on Lorelai as she has to contend with selfish wedding participants.
  • Rory goes golfing with her grandfather.

    "Superb"
Rory goes golfing with her grandfather and enjoys it. Lorelai gets proved wrong by Emily because Lorelai said that Rory could never enjoy a day at the club with Richard but in the end she did. The "Your boobs are bigger then my mine" argument just made the whole episode worth it. It was so funny, and another great Gilmore moment.
  • Richard takes Rory golfing, Rory and Lorelai fight about bra size

    9.1
    "Superb"
More of the wholesome TV show that we have come to expect from this show but this time we learn how much overly rich old men love to brag about the achievements of their granddaughter. Rich people bragging, nah, that never happens.

Best line from this episode: Emily asking how Lorelai's "charming, little inn" is doing. Lorelai's response: We're keeping are fingers crossed that it doesn't assert itself and become large and rude. That's gold.

  • Rory goes golfing with Richard, he brags about his granddaughter

This episode was a good look into how different Rory’s life with Lorelai and Rory’s life with her grandparents are and how easily she could fit into both. The fight over bra size was funny but I was glad that they made up in the end. The woman at the wedding was very annoying (and her daughters were even more annoying) but the snooty Doublemint commercial reference was funny. Another great episode. My grade: A
  • This was a good one! Funny and a lesson all at once.

    9.6
    "Superb"
I though this was a really good episode. I loved it when Rory went golfing, and she kind of sucked like I do, heehee. OK anyway, I knew Lorelai would get jelous because of Rory spending time with them.

The whole wedding at the Inn was funny too. Michelle (the black person that works there too) gets on my nerves. I dont like him a lot. He is bossy and doesn't do anything. The people there at the wedding were annoying but funny and stupid. I knew Rory and her mom would make up, and I though it was a good way. It was cute.
