  • Rory's first kiss and one of the best episodes so far.

    9.5
    "Superb"
This was a great episode because it shows Rory receive her first kiss from Dean. Not sure how to react, she steals and runs to Lane to tell her the news. Rory doesn't tell Lorelai, and her mom ends up finding out from Lane's mother. Lorelai confronts her daughter and it leads to an unforgettable night watching Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory. This episode also shows great character development and the beginning of Rory and Dean's relationship. It also shows how great and laid back Lorelai is and her way of dealing with such a situation. Therefore, this was a pivotal and revealing episode which makes it one of my favorites.
  • Lorelai is weirded out when Rory hides something from her. Another really funny and enjoyable episode.

This was the best episode yet, it was really funny at times and I liked both Rory and Lorelai here. It was interesting to see the first kiss, was believable in the way it happened. Loved how Rory ran straight to Lane's house after, she was so excited. Mrs Kim was funny. I liked there relationship, because you know they both like each other.

When Lorelai found out, how she handles it was entertaining. Just staring at Rory from a far, in a daze.

It was hilarious in the shop, when she was spying on Dean, the music in the background, really fitted. more Luke and Lorelai, wonder when they'll get together.

It was great when Lorelai invited Dean over for a movie, Rory's reaction was realistic and of course, interesting. The semi argument was good, always interesting to see how they resolve there fights. The actual movie night was the highlight, when Sookie turned up, hilarious. Then the tour of the house, Rory's room, so many great moments.

Lorelai's speech was a highlight also, Dean seems fine though, not bad at all. They needed Lorelai to say something anyway. The 'thank you' after each kiss, good.

Another really enjoyable episode, this series is getting better.
  • OH MY GOD!!

Dean gives Rory her first kiss; fearful of her mother's disapproval, Rory decides not to tell Lorelai for a little while; Lorelai gets stressed when she hears about the kiss from Mrs. Kim instead of Rory; Rory freaks out at first when Lorelai invites Dean over to watch videos and eat junk food, but ends up having a good time after all. most teenage girls and girls around her age experience a kiss for the first time which means alot to their love and emotional life which is why most girls would want and choose tp keep it personal and a secret from their parents or parent and rather say that or tell the story to friends and best friends and enjoy the event!!! parents tend to freak out when they find out about it!!

Dean kisses Rory in the grocery store. Lorelai finds out about it from Mrs. Kim. She is a little sad that Rory didnt' tell her. Lorelai invites Dean over to watch a movie with Rory and herself. It's Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory! Rory is unprepared for it, but they have a good time. Lane wants to be Rory. Sookie tries to get a peak at Dean. Luke helps Lorelai realize that Rory is growing up.

This was a great episode! I'm glad Rory found someone that she likes. This episode gets a 9.5 out of 10 from me!

The autumn day is coming and all town is decorated.

Rory walks into the grocery store and gets her first kiss from Dean.

She runs and tells Lane about it but fears to tell to her mother. Lorelai finds out from Ms Kim the next morning.

She can't believe Rory didn't tell her and she goes to spy on Dean, Luke gets her out of the grocery in time.

Then she tells Rory she knows and late, after they went to the grocery to buy junk food for a movie's night she invites Dean to join them.

    Rory freaks out.

All cool, they watch the movie, Lorelai leaves them alone for a while and them, when Rory goes to the bathroom she gives the mother speech.

    Dean and Rory kiss again

And before going to bed, Rory tells Lorelai about the first kiss, all the details, all ended up well

how cute... Rory's first kiss... see I miss this kind of episodes, it was so excited and girly... and by the way i'm with Lorelai on this one: Oompa Loompas are the best! back to topic, im not a Rory/Dean fan but their first kiss was awesome, the way he did it.... omg and Mrs. Kim was great on the episode too, well she is always great... "Kiss Kiss Kiss, in the grocery store, where we buy our food" lol that lady was awesome.. *sniff* okay back to Rory and Dean, puppy love is cute!

there was not much Java Junkie on the episode, but i forgive them, cuz Rory was so moronic on the episode "I say thanks, he kissed me and i said thanks" "well that was very polite" *goes to watch kiss and tell* =0P
  • Another feel-good episode - with really sweet connections!

    9.5
    "Superb"
Apart from all the sweets being eaten, the development of Rory and Dean's relationship also took a sweet turn in this episode. With boys now in Rory's life, it was a pivotal time for her relationship with her mother - having been one of close friendship over the years, would it now change because she would start to have her own interest in guys? You could feel Rory's reluctance to tell her mother about the kiss, and you could also feel Lorelai's heart clenching when she found out about the kiss... and not from her daughter! The awkwardness of the "he's coming over to watch the movie with us" situation was also felt, as you could relate to both Rory's panic, and Lorelai's attempt to be helpful - without considering the consequences of her actions! It was great to see it work out instead of going pear-shaped... but not without some humour and almost hiccups - the neighbours, and Sookie's stopover :-)

DEan kisses rory in the super market. While she's holding corn starch. She runs to tell lane she doesn't pay for the cornstarch and Mrs. kim tells lorelai. she's surprised rory didn't tell her aboutit herself. For movie night they go to doose's market to pick up the junk food while rory's getting the movie willy wonka and the choclate factory from the video store she invites dean to come watch the movie with them. Rory is mad but decides to have him over when he comes lorelai leaves the room when she goes to get popcorn and sees them she stays in the kitchen. Rory comes and makes her come back in. They have a good night. I think it's cute how DEan and rory are together there a cute couple.
  • Very sweet and warm episode with first steps.

To say this episode will make you do little happy sighs is an understatement. I loved the fact that Rory is growing up, and beginning to have grown up experiences. Lorelai having a very hard time accepting that given the fact she went to "stalk" Dean in the grocery store, and want to hurt him. Luke dragging her out of the store is sweet. Her worry that she is turning into her mother when she invites Dean over at the mortification of Rory.

My favorite moment was when Lorelai gives THE TALK to Dean, and lays down the law. Dean is not fazed by it at all. Just tells her to give him a chance and recognizes the special bond, and that Lorelai needs to be on his side for him to have a chance.
  • Rory is about to have her first kiss. In public, And at the grocery store!!

This is the episode that made me a Gilmore Girl fan, why? Because Rory experienced her first kiss, with someone named Dean and said "thankyou" And ran away at the end. lol I love how Rory ran and told Lane everything minutes after it happened. It was such a cute episode!
  • Kiss and tell is a Gilmore Girls episode where Rory and Dean kiss but Rory doesn't mention it to Lorelei. The best part is that this was Rory's first kiss.

This is an all-time favorite episode because it is about Rory's first kiss. Rory doesn't tell her mother about it. The reason Lorelei finds out about it was thanks to Mrs. Kim. Lorelei is a cool mother, because she didn't lecture Rory about kissing Dean and not telling her. I think the reason why Rory was not lectured by Lorelei was because after all, Lorelei had gotten pregnant with Rory at sixteen years of age. Two seasons passed, with Dean and Rory still being girlfriend and boyfriend. This episode is also my favorite because for the first time ever, Rory shoplifted.

  • Rory gets kissed by the first time by Dean "the new kid" and doesn't tell anything to Lorelai about it.

Rory gets kissed by the first time by Dean "the new kid" and doesn't tell anything to Lorelai about it. Lorelai fidns out by Mrs.Kim, Lane's mother and gives provoces Rory to see if she talks about it but she doesn't. Lane compare her kiss with

um on her forehead and tell's that she is living through Rory... Lorelai finily tells Rory that she knows about the kiss and tells her that she doesn't mind. When they are getting ready to another junk food and movie night, Lorelai decides to invite Dean! Rory freaks out but acepts. In the end of the episode they kiss again... It's the begining of their relation. :)

Rory has always been into books and hanging out with her best friends: Lane and her mom. Suddenly, she\'s making room for something she hasnt made room for in the past: a guy. This is a turning point in her life. It\'s the first moment on the show where Rory begins to grow up more.

a rory finally gets her first kiss and it was in the towns market. after she kisses him she say thankyou and steals a box of corn starch. i thought that it was nice that she got kissed and told lane about it but i could not figure out why she tought her mother would have a problem with it. i thought that it was great that lorelai invited him over for dinner and a movie but i could understand why rory was not so happy about it. but in the end rory had a good time and she seemed to be happy.
  • Rory keeps a secret from Lorelai.

When Rory keeps her kiss with Dean in the market on isle 3 a secret from Lorelai, Lorelai finds out from Mrs. Kim. Lorelai is angry that she found out about the kiss from Mrs. Kim and not Rory. Rory finds out that Lorelai Knows and she tells Rory that she heard it from Mrs. Kim.

When Lorelai and Rory have movie night Lorelai invites Dean to come too and Rory gets a little mad. She lays out strict rules about what Lorelai can and cannot talk about in front of Dean. When Rory goes to the bathroom, Lorelai has a serious talk with Dean. Dean and Rory Kiss again outside after the movie and Dean says, “thanks” so Rory wont feel embarrassed.

I thought it was cool how Lorelai and Lane said that was a good isle because that is where they kissed.

  • Lorelai begs her mother to bump their Friday Dinner to Saturday because of Rory\'s birthday. Instead, Emily hosts a rather frustrating event on Friday but Saturday is a Starshollow Blowout of a party.

ASWESOME!!!! I felt so bad for Rory when she found out that all her Chilton \"friends\" were comming without her knowing. You really see a bond forming between Emily and Lorelai, especially when they\'re shopping for Rory\'s present. Also, I like how Emily begins to see how her daughter and grand daughter are living an dall the friends they\'ve made. She\'s also snapped back into reality when she finds out she was wrong about knowing her own daughter. When Richard and her get into the car to leave it was so sad when she said \"she was right, I don\'t know my daughter at all\". Definatly one of my favorites.
  • Rory and Dean kiss in the town grocery store and it becomes the talk of the town. Ms. Patty and Babbett have filled just about everyone, except Lorelai. Mrs. Kim was the honors of blabbing to Lorelai, only Mrs. Kim didn't know Lorelai didn't know.

For the first time you see that Rory has doubts about telling her mom everything. She says that she needed time to process the whole kiss thing and didn't want to broadcast it. And for the first time, Mrs. Kim has gossip that Lorelai doesn't. And of course Lorelai is Lorelai and teases Rory somewhat about the kiss.

it is thanksgiving time in stars hollow. taylor bugs luke. he wants luke to decorate the diner in participation and holiday spirit. luke, of course, refuses. rory goes to doose's market to check out dean, the check out boy. while there, he sneaks up on her and asks what she's buying. flustered, she grabs a box of corn starch. he asks if she would like a free soda. as he starts to give her the soda, he leans in and kisses her. excited and not knowing what to say, she thanks him, then runs out of the market. she goes to lane's house and tells her the anecdote. mrs. kim overhears and tells lorelai. lorelai is upset that rory did not tell her. she invites dean to come over for a movie night. rory reluctantly obliges. it ends up being a fun night.

Rory has her first kiss with Dean (her first kiss ever actually) and she does not tell Lorelai because she doesn't know how to. She has been keeping Dean a secret from her mother for some time now, and she doesn't just want to announce him. I love that Lorelai invites him over and Rory gets so embarrassed; the tree story is the best; Lorelai tells it about Rory and then changes it to say it was really her...its too funny! Man can those girls eat!
  • All's well that ends well.

All's well that ends well. that's how the out come is in this episode. When Dean kisses Rory and she doesn't tell her mom Rory panics. Lorelai finds out from Mrs. Kim about the kiss. Lorelai wants to help Rory out because of Rory being so shy. She invites Dean over for pizza and a movie night. Rory is horrified. But as the night progresses Rory began to relax and ended up being happy for what Lorelai did.
  • Rory gets her first kiss.

Rory gets kissed by Dean in the supermarket. She tells Lane, but she cannot seem to tell her mother. Lorelai hears about the kiss from Mrs. Kim, and she is not happy that Rory did not tell her. Finally when Rory does tell Lorelai, Lorelai invites Dean over to watch a movie. It is an aqward first "date" for Rory and Dean, because her mother was there. This was a very cute episode.
  • Rory and Dean share their first kiss.

I loved this episode. Rory goes to the market and when Dean offers her a free "pop", she accepts. He puts two behind his back, asked her to choose, and when she leans over to point at one he leans over and kisses her. It was an amazing moment, and when Rory said "Thank you," it made it "Gilmore style". She didn't tell Lorelai and when Lorelai found out from Mrs. Kim it mad her kind of annoyed that Rory didn't tell her. Then when her mom invited Dean over to watch a movie with them, Rory didn't like it but he came over, and they had an excelent time. In the end Rory told Lorelai about everything and all was resolved.
  • You don't want to miss this classic episode about Rory's first kiss, and first boyfriend.

    9.6
    "Superb"
Being one of the first episodes I saw, Kiss and Tell is a classic that shows how great Gilmore Girls really is. I find it hilarious how Rory gets her first kiss, and shoplifts at the same time. Her reaction to the kiss is also funny, because she says thank you to Dean then imediatley runs out of the store. But Rory is not the only one who freaks out about this situation, because when Lorelai finds out about the kiss through Mrs.Kim, she does some serious worrying. Because of Lorelai's and Rory's close relationship, they expect to be able to tell everything to each other, but when Rory does not tell her mother about her first kiss, Lorelai is upset that she was not the first to know. This great episode also shows the strict side of Lorelai when she confronts Dean about the kiss.
  • Rory gets kissed

Yet another great episode. Rory gets her first kiss from Dean which Lorelai finds out from Mrs. Kim then goes to Doose's to kill the bag boy. Eventually she calms down and Rory, Lorelai and Dean have a movie night. I thought it was good that Lorelai laid down the law to Dean and showed that she doesn't want Rory to end up like her.
  • Dean gives Rory her first kiss and made me re-evaluate my first young romances

Yet another great episode. Rory gets her first kiss from Dean, and shoplifts in the process. Rory freaks out and decides not to tell her mother but Mrs. Kim overhears Lane and Rory talking and tells Lorelai. The line about not killing the bagboy since it’s double coupon day and it would bring down the town was great. I also liked how Lorelai laid down the law with Dean and how she could switch from friend mode to protective mother mode so quickly. It was good to see the protective mother side come through the ‘cool mom’ side. My grade: A-
