  • OMG!!! This has been what I have been waiting for!

I cannot express how much I am loving Jess right now! I'm not sure if the whole fight with Logan meant that they are broken up and if they are then they may still get back together, but I'm so glad everything came out. What Jess said to her was exactly what I was feeling and I'm exstatic the ASP brought Jess back to say that.

The whole thing with Luke and his soccer team was cute but it was kind of a fiiller, and so was the whole thing about the paint color. However, Lauren Graham gave an excelent performance in that last scene when she and Luke and Paula Anka were in Rory's old room. I think everything she was saying about not knowing what to do about Paul Anka was really about Rory's situation.

And although this episode was so exciting, I cannot wait till next week. If you saw the preview you know that Rory and Lorelai reunite!!! Plus Luke and Lorelai can set a wedding date. But I cannot begin to imagine what Luke's secret is that could hold back the relationship. All I know is that I will not be able to wait until then!

  • Jess comes to town to show Rory his book. Logan is jealous and intrudes on their plans to go to dinner. Luke sponsers a girl soccer team and him and Lorelai are shocked to see the girls use physical violence and win their game.

Jess has returned! After going out and drinking, Rory gets to the Gilmore Mansion to find Jess waiting for her. Jess tells her that he has written a book and they make plans to go out to eat. Logan comes home from a business trip early and invites himself along on their plans. Logan drinks too much and belittles Jess's accomplishments. Rory and Jess talk and he asks her why she dropped out of Yale and she doesn't seem to have an answer. Logan and Rory have a shouting match, and we start to see how hard Logan's dad is pushing him. After Rory won't leave with him, Logan leaves the bar. Emily and Rory haven't been getting along since she was forced to move into the Mansion, and they also have an argument, after Rory doesn't go to the Mansion after her fight with Logan. Luke sponsers a girl soccer team and is shocked at their soccer moves.
  • Jess returns to visit Rory and she finally sees what a mess shes made with her life. Thank god, it seems we have the old Rory back. Excellent episode!

I think everyone must be thinking, thank god for Jess! This is the episode we've been waiting for, Rory realises what she's become and starts to question her life as it is. Throughout we can see she is irritated by Emily's annoying behaviour as she seems to always follow her around.

Jess arrives and Rory is happy to see him. We hear that he has written a book which delights Rory. But Jess seems confused about her new life but not much is said in there first meeting. It is obvious that Jess has grown up. Later, they have dinner but Logan arrives and is obviously not comfortable with the situation.

He invites himself along and is the biggest jerk you could know at dinner, mocking Jess and putting him down. This makes Jess leave, Rory runs after him and this is where it all goes down. Jess tells her she's being stupid, dropping out of Yale, dating a jerk like Logan etc.

He is horrified and she says she doesn't know what has happened. He leaves but then she gets it, she has a huge row with Logan because she complains about her life, I loved this scene, it just clicked with her. But then she appears to have left her grandparents, she's staying with Lane.

She attends a DAR function which Emily forced her to and Emily confronts her and Rory isn't having any of it, she stood up to Emily - pure brilliance. Highlight of the season so far - I think Rory's back!??

Paul Anka is sick which upsets Lorelai but it is clearly Rory that is saddening her - this was a sad scene. Brilliant episode.
  • Jess convinces Rory to go back to Yale.

Jess convinces Rory to go back to Yale. Only he could do that, no one else. She wasn't who she used to be. She was living a life that wasn't hers. Hence the alternate reality. So, thank you jess for making Rory see the error of her ways. Rory/Jess forever.
  • Jess comes back to tell Rory he's written a book, which makes Rory put her own life in perspective, questioning what she's been doing with her life. Luke sponsers a girls soccer team, while Anka gets sick and Lorelai worries how good of a mother she is

I love how Jess knows Rory so well, and just like how she knows what he's capable of, he know what she can do as well. His reappearance awakens a part of Rory that she lost when she found her dream of becoming a journalist slip through her figners. Lorelai uses Paul Anka's sickness as a way to get in touch with her feelings for Rory.

Goof: At the girls' soccer game, when Luke is talking to two of the girls, the coach is standing beside them on the sidelines, but in the next shot, he's already in the middle of the field talking to the rest of the team.
  • Jess visit Rory. Logan gets jealous and joins their dinner. Jess seems to get Rory to question her recent behavior. Luke sponsors a girls soccer team. Lorelai falls apart over Paul Anka being sick.

I am so glad they brought back Jess to snap Rory out of her funk. It has been disheartening watching her turn her back on everything she and Lorelai strived for her for Rory's entire life. Hopefully, this will quickly bring an end between mother and daughter. I really have not liked watching Rory be under her grandparents' influence. Her mother was so good to her. I was never a huge fan of Jess when he was on the show before. He seemed to hurt Rory and Luke and make problems in their lives. I was glad when he left. But now that he has grown up and gotten his life together, he can now help Rory get her life back on track. However, I didn't understand his comment saying he knew Rory better than anyone else. I did not think that was true at all. I think he had been in a similar place as Rory - not living up to his/her potential - and he knew she needed to be set right back on the right path again.

I loved Luke and Lorelai's storyline here. Luke being Luke did not hear the girls ask him to sponsor their soccer team. He thought they wanted him to coach them. Lorelai, of course, was there to direct him. I especially loved the scene at the end, the next day, when Luke finds Lorelai sitting in the chair in Rory's room mothering sick Paul Anka. Luke being by her side while she falls apart about not being a good mother. She was finally venting all she held inside these past few months about letting Rory fix her problems on her own. What amazing writing and acting! It just an incredible scene!
  • Jess comes back in town to visit Rory with a big surprise, but Logan gets jealous once he finds out Rory is spending time with him. Jess helps Rory get her feet back on the ground, and realize that she isn't being herself.

I absolutely loved this episode! If I could give it more than 10 stars, believe me, I would. Rory has been acting out of character most of Season 6. The writers were very sloppy with it, nothing made much sense, it seemed as if every episode was just random and plotless, I was highly disappointed. But once this episode came, it improved my take on this. Rory came to the realization that she wasn't being herself because of everything Jess had to say; congrats to him for bringing her back to reality. I was never a fan of Rory/Jess in Season 3 because he was a complete jerk to her most of the time, especially when he left her to go to California, but I think they would be good together now that he is mature and making something of himself.
  • Leave it to Jess...

Oh, Jess. For all of us who miss that naughty, naughty little boy, this is a welcome return! Of course, it would only be Jess who would be able to get Rory back on track with her life. "This isn't you!" Milo was very much welcomed back by the Gilmore following, and we can only hope that he may come back for future episodes or at least be alluded to in the series finale! I want Jess and Rory to end up together! Anyway, I love Jess and this was a perfect way to bring him(and sexy)and essentially Rory back.
  • Jess and rory, that all i can say

Well what can i say i havent yet seen this epy but i cant wait, even though rory and jess dont get back together it is nice to see him again, i love jess, when this comes to the uk i think people are just going to love it, i like logan dont get me wrong but i think he is not write for rory, rory and jess deserve to be together, she suppose to fall for a guy like jess, like her mum and luke even though they split up the prop will be together. Today i had this parents and teacher thing and the teacher said i need more of a social life how rude but it reminded me of season 1 where rory is in chilston and the headmaster says that to her.

    LOL

    Keep It Up Gilmore Girls

    LOVE JESS & LUKE

I thought that this episode was really great i liked that Jess came back and it seemed like he was a different person then in the past. I found it funny that Jess knew where Rory was then later we found out that Luke told him where she was. I thought that it was great that Logan showed up to find Rory talking to another guy and he was a little jealous. I thought that it was funny that Logan joined them for dinner then got into an agurement with Jess and then with Rory and then he told her they need to take a break.
  • I beleive this is one of the best episodes of GG. It made me almost jump out of my seat when Logan got there..that is when we really saw his jealousy & attachment over logan come out. I beleive the first time we saw it Logan didnt go this far.

**** this is probably the second time we have seen Logan get extremely jealous. The first time was at his friends party(Finn) & Logan & Rory had an open relationship...but when Rory showed up with one of Logan\'s friends he had gotten rather jealous.(it was SOOOO Cute) Cant wait til Marty comes back...I read that MArty is coming back in the next episode & he is the bf of one of Rory\'s new girl friends. But he pretends that he has never met her before....sounds like drama to me. Anyways, Rory cant stop thinking about him & his arrival causes some problems in Rory\'s relationship with Logan.
  • JESS is the best!!!!

I love this episode because Jess is back and the old Rory come back too.Thank Jess!!!! What whould we do without jess .. He is the best , and he really set Rory back on track, and he is soo much better for Rory then Logan is.Logan is a Jerk I hope Jess comes back because he totally deserves rory with all the rowing up he has done and rory totally needs him because for example what he did by reaveluating her life was a way to pull her back into the book smart, loved, cute, innocent, young high school rory we used to know. Jess and Rory for ever!!!
  • Pretty funny episode. Lorelai needs to paint, Luke becomes a sponsor, Rory questions herself after talking to Jess, and Paul Anka is sick.

    8.5
    "Great"
I liked this episode cause Rory is a little more herself than she was in past 10-15, maybe even 20 episodes. Logan is obviosly influenting her badly, and she finaly snaps out of it. With a little help from Jess.

Lorelai is hilarious as ever, she is looking for a perfect color for her house, while trying to take care of Paul Anka.

And Luke, he is dealing with agression of girl's who wants to be equal with males.

Episode is actually not bad, and it marks turn of Rory, and her waking up from lazyness. Confronting Emilly is only a first step.
  • when Jess comes to Rory's place with news of his new book logan becomes jealous that Rory is spending more time with Jess rather that him lately. When Logan becomes drunk and starts a fight with Jess Rory takes Jess's side rather than Logan's.

    5.7
    "Mediocre"
I think this episode wasn't as good as some of the others because i never really liked Jess and I hate it when Logan and rory fight because they make such a good couple that it hurts when there is a chance, but on the other side him being drunk and leting out all of the things bottled inside would either break them up or make them a better couple. It would help if the episodes were longer or had more of rory and her grandmother fighting. This episode could use some work and editing but anything with Jess does.
  • Jess comes back to town with some suprising news for Rory who begins to get her life back together. Lorelai has a startling revelation about the way she handled things. Luke sponsors a gir\'s soccer team.

Aww.. This is how I feel in love with Jess! This was the first season of Gilmore Girls I watched religiously and this episode made me a devoted fan to the entire series. After seeing this episode I went out and bought the entire series on DVD. Before this episode I had never seen the \"old\" Jess so I did not really see the change in him but after goin back I realized. He wrote a book! I couldn\'t believe it. I had thought that that is something Rory was gonna do. In this episode Rory really begins to see that everyone is passing her up on the road of life. Even Jess is doing something with his life, the high school drop out, and her the Yalie is not. After seeing Logan in this episode I officially hate him! The way he acted with my beloved Jess AND Rory. I had liked him up until that point. I really liked the way Rory handled Emily but when i rewatched all the seasons I started to feel for Emily in that scene. Lorelai\'s emotional scene brought me to tears. That was some great writing from Dan and Amy.
  • Rory finally hears her wake up call

    9.5
    "Superb"
i really loved this episode. i think rory and logan are great together. but that doesn't change the fact that he really is a jerk. jess was right on the money with that one. logan is a rich whiny brat who uses his father as a scapegoat. okay, so he's being forced into a certain life. then why not leave? he has the resources. or is he afraid his father will cut him off and suddenly he will actually have to work a day in his life?

emily really did learn nothing from her life with lorelai. she still insists on using only force and control as "guidance". it's amazing the stubbornness of that woman.

the sad part for me was that jess really did mistreat rory when they dated, but he is clearly in love with her-- so much so, that he wants her to be happy, even if it is with another man. but he's smart enough to know when rory is blinded and resourceful enough to knock some sense into her. he's turning out to be an amazing guy. rory is turning out to be one of those people who's never happy with what she has or who she's with. she left dean for jess when dean really loved her, and then only wanted him back when it was convenient and then forgot him just as easily when logan came along.
  • Jess is back and makes Rory see the light.

Jess makes a vist and it makes all Rory and Jess fans very very happy. I know it did me. Do not get me wrong, I like Logan. He can be a big pain in the butt at times, but other times he is ok.

Jess has cleaned himself up, he even wrote a book! He gives Rory a wake up call. He tells her she is not the person now that she used to be and Logan is a jerk and he does not understand why Rory is with Logan. Rory and Logan have a fight after Jess leaves and it looks like they are over with. Future reference, they are still together

Rory tells Emily off and it looks like Rory is one step closer to making things right with Lorelai.

  • Jess returns and turns Rory around.

Rory goes out with Logan and his friends, and ends up being the designated driver when they all become drunk. After dropping them all off, she herself arrives back home to find Jess waiting for her. Rory sneaks Jess inside, and they begin to catch up. Jess reveals to Rory that he is working in Philadelphia at a publishing company, and he has written a book. Rory is pleasantly surprised. They both decide to go out to dinner before he leaves, and then Jess sneaks back out of the house. Luke is conned into sponsoring a girls' soccer team, and goes all out paying for their uniforms and other teams expenses, but is shocked to see how violently the girls' play. Lorelai, still missing Rory, ends up channelling all of her energy into her dog Paul Anka, and becomes extremely depressed when Paul Anka won't eat anything. Rory and Jess go out to dinner, but as they are in the driveway, Logan arrives and end up joining them. There is much tension between Logan and Jess at the dinner table and it results in Jess walking out. Rory goes after him, and Jess asks her what has she done to her life. Rory begins to realise that she may have made a mistake. Jess leaves, and Rory goes back to Logan and they have an argument, and Logan leaves without her. Rory then shows up the next day at a DAR event, where Emily is concerned about Rory's sudden evasiveness and tries to exert some parental discipline, but she is ignored.
  • In my opinion this is the stand out episode of the series so far. The early scenes of Lorelai with the paint chart had be in stitches,Rory's scenes with Jess and her finally standing up to her mother make this the best episode in the season so far.

    10
    "Perfect"
Gilmore Girls generally delivers an outstanding episode to me every week reguardless. But this is the most memorable one for a long time. The brilliant mix of that satirical comedy we all know and love, with heartfelt moments truely made this a brilliant installment.

Three things stood out for me from my memory. The comedy of Lorelai's indecision over the paint charts for her own house. Jess coming back and ironically being the one to finally make Rory 'see the like. The final thing that stood out, was the heartfelt scene at the end as Lorelai's pain from being estranged from Rory is blindingly obvious as she agonises over the sickness of her dog 'Paul Anka'.

Because Rory has seemingly been floating for most of the season, I find it important to mention Jess' place in her enlightenment. The former trouble maker is clearly making something of himself as he produces the book that he has written. It was very clear to me that the two still have a lot of chemistry. Seemed to me as though Logan was very aware of it to, judging by his reaction. All and all I think Jess' return was well constructed and fit well into a tremendous episode.

Lorelai is having a really hard time choosing colors for their house.

Luke sponsors girls soccer team, who turn out to be rough and violent players.

Jess comes back to visit Rory and tell her about how he has been and to show her a book that he wrote. Logan sees Jess with Rory and askes if they wanna go out. Logan treats Jess badly and Jess leaves. While chasing him out, Jess says that Rory made bad decisions- dropping out of Yale, living with Emily, being in the DAR- and Rory finally realizes that she has made wrong decisions. After, Rory and Logan get into a huge fight.

OMG, what whould we do without jess .. He is the best , and he really set Rory back on track, and he is soo much better for Rory then Logan is, that shows in this episode, but the series whould not be the same if Logan was'nt in it ..

The hole Luke soccer thing was soo funny, it shows Lorelai that Luke in a way is good with kids, but the girls were abit too much. I dont think little girls play that "scary" , or maybe they do, but good story .. I hope Milo can come back another episode, he so makes the series better .. And Rory and him are perfect together .. But, I have to say to much drama with Rory & Logan , I dont understand how he can say, after there fight, that he thought they have broken up, it's to weird, and not that good told ..

I was confused when Honor in the next episode calls Rory up, and tells her that Logan said that they were broken up, and then he afterwards, says he just said that to shut her up, and then at Honors wedding says he thought they were broken up, that was very confusing ..

But all in all, this was a very very good episode, and Milo it's good to have you back .

    (Milo, call me :p & Matt, call me 2 :D ) ..
  • Jess returns and sets Rory straight...finally!

This was the best episodes in the first half of this season! I love Jess and I love even more that he was the one who set Rory back on the right path. He's straight, honest opinion was exactly when she needed to realized that he was becoming a different person.
  • Rory realises her full potential with a little help from an old friend.

This episode is brilliant because not only does Rory start thinking like an adult but she starts acting like one too. Jess (Milo) has this way of encouraging Rory to come to terms with real life. We need to see a lot more of him. Glad also that Rory told Logan what she thought & hopefully left him thinking (but knowing Logan it will just be an excuse for something else)!! More Jess (Milo) would definately be great.
  • This was a great ep. which brings back Jess in a way that will change Rorys life-path yet again.

    9.7
    "Superb"
This was a great episode! We knew that something had to give eventually with Rory, because she couldn\'t continue living with her Grandparents and not finishing school. Jess comes back into the picture and wants to see Rory, mainly to show her how she helped him become a better person - he wrote a book that was published by a small company.

Enter Logan, who gets all jealous of Jess, treating him and Rory very badley. This leaves Rory in a predicament, finally letting it click in that she might have made a mistake in quitting school and partying all the time with Logan. And ofcourse its always good to see Milo back as Jess, especially when he is doing something good for once.

The interactions between characters in this ep are great, and I found it to be the best yet this season!
  • Jess is back!

Great episode. Jess is back to Stars Hollow to give Rory a book he wrote.

Milo Ventimiglia accepted to bring Jess back and we will see him again on 11th April.

Great performances between Alexis and Milo, the best couple of worldwide tv met again.!

Don't miss this episode! It's outstanding!
  • No wonder it was raked as one of the best of the season...

In this show we can clearly see why Jess is so important to the show, he only appears for 5 seconds, and all of the plot totally changes, I dont really know what else to say, but definitaly Gilmore Girls is a thumbs up on TV. Me han traumatizado chicas gilmore...
  • Jess gives to the show a flavor that no other character can.

I loved Jess' appereance... I would actually love even more if he came back to the show :( I really miss Jess.

But it was great that Rory finally is going back to who she was, the new rich, spoiled Rory was really anoying.

    A great episode, I'LL GIVE A 10 TO JESS

God, Milo Ventimiglia is every day hotter or what... and his character was the coolest boyfriend Rory ever had, way cooler.

I just hope Rory gets away from that jerk Logan, he's an air head.
  • Jess and Rory back together YAY! Logan and Emily told off, Luke coaching a aggressive soccer team and finally Loreali expressing her feelings.

    "Perfect"
The best yet! The only reason I watched GG is because I loved Jess and Rory together. In the beginning they had a forbidden love with Dean and now with Logan around it seems Jess came to have another forbidden love with her. Logan is finally told off by Rory about his attidue. I hat Logan because he is one of those rich, snooby, pompus, air headed, my dad pays for everything attidue. i hate him so much! What is with Luke and the soccer team, he used to be on of those grumpy bums but now he is becoming Lorealis real man. Jess and Rory so have to be together. I loved how Rory told off her grandmother she deserved it. and logan had no reason to act like a jerk to Jess. What did he do wrong? I hope Jess comes back because he totally deserves rory with all the rowing up he has done and rory totally needs him because for example what he did by reaveluating her life was a way to pull her back into the book smart, loved, cute, innocent, young high school rory we used to know. Jess and Rory for ever!
  • Lorelai has the time of her life choosing colors for everybody's houses, but for hers. Luke sponsors a 'competitive' female soccer team. Rory recieves a surprising visit wich doesn't thrills Logan that much. Lorelai extrapolates her mother role to her pet

    9.9
    "Superb"
The episode was a blast! I can't describe it better. Finally Rory figures out that mostly everything that's going on in her life is wrong, and who better to maker her realize it than...Jess! yes, It's Jess, i mean, who knows her better, after Lorelai of course? His appereance, wich I thik is temporary, was perfect and for the only purpose of making her get back in her mind (I don't think he's ever coming back to the show). The revealing against Emily was wonderful, bravo Rory...and hey! let me hear those balalaikas ringing out you people!
  • When Jess comes to town Logan freaks out and so many things happen that i cant describe.

    9.7

This episode is definitely one of my most favorite episodes. Jess is my favorite of Rory's boyfriends. It is amazing that they feel in love on set. If you didn't know Alexis Bledel and Milo Ventimiglia are going out for like 3 years. But i hate to see Logan go.. BOO HOO!
