  • Both Lorelai and Rory are asked to be more social for Chilton. Brilliant and fun episode!

    9.6
    "Superb"
I loved this episode, it was really fun, exactly why I watch the show. I really enjoyed both storylines, it did show how the Gilmore Girls are very alike, in different ways. It was funny to see them both analyse Luke in the opening scene, what they said was true, you don't see him acting that friendly very often.

The guidance counsellor approaching Rory made me curious, when she said about the social skills, my first thought was of Lane and Dean back in Stars Hollow. Anyway, liked how Lorelai acted like the parent she is and went to see the principal, it was very amusing when the conversation was turned around on her, brilliant when she asked if she could leave.

Emily's disgust that Lorelai wasn't getting involved was funny, then the boosters are mentioned, quite humourlessly by Lorelai. Enjoyed the comments made to each other by Rory and her mother. I really enjoyed seeing Rory go for it and sit at another table, was just very interesting. It was amusing to see them so fascinated by her. The comment about the nickname 'Lem' for Lemon' was also funny.

Paris really needed to get over herself, I mean she has her own group of friends, she overreacted, big style. Anyway, Rory being Rory decides to try and get Paris into the group, I couldn't help but enjoy Paris being grateful to Rory, not that it lasted very long. I found the whole kidnapping scenario extremely funny. 'Mom, my kidnappers are here' hilarious.

I couldn't stop smiling when she was pretending to have just woken up. Then the whole going to Chilton was like a scene from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Paris annoyed me when she lectured Rory about 'The Puffs' but it was fairly amusing. They end up getting caught, I loved Rory standing up for herself, it got through to the principal too.

Liked how Lorelai didn't care because she knows Rory is a good kid. So the fashion show, I liked how Lorelai was liked by the boosters group. Mary Alice from Desperate Housewives was interesting to see, funny when that woman forgot her step something's name. Funny that Lorelai told Emily that she had to model to, go Lorelai.

Michel and Lorelai's panic was funny. We again see how much Lorelai likes Luke when she is put out by another boosters member liking him. How funny was it to see Emily acting so .... happy go lucky on the runway. Lorelai and Luke's little tiff at the end was yet another hint at them getting together.

I wonder if Lorelai will remain with the boosters? I also liked how that girl sat with Rory at the end, very satisfying. Brilliant episode! Can't wait for more!
  • It's a Gimore Girls's classic episode which gave the viewers the typical Gilmore Girls emotions that makes the show one of the best ones in TV's history.

The episode was cleverly written and exciting. The storylines were great and the whole tone was fun and hilarious too.We saw a perfect Rory episode related to her classmates and life at Chilton. She is said that she is not so social with her classmates.Rory tries becoming more social and sits at the Puffs'table which is a great honour for every student at Chilton. The group immediately accepts Rory and Paris is pretty surprised as she has been trying for years to join in the group.Rory helps Paris become a member of the Puffs.Meanwhile Paris was great episode. She was the typical Paris she used to in season 1.But there is a plan for Rory and paris to become members. They are awaken at midnight and go to the school with The Puffs to ring to school bell and that is a tradition for everyone who wants to join The Puffs. They are actually caught by the principal. The whole story was compelling and so real.Lorelai is also told that she has also some problems with socializing at Chilton.A perfect Lorelai moments this episode.

After being told that she has no social life, Rory tries to make friends at school in order to get into Harvard. Lorelai gets involved with Chilton by joining the Booster Club. She organizes a fashion show at her inn and it is a big hit! Emily is happy about it! Eva, a booster mom, is interested in Luke, which makes Lorelai jealous. Rory's choice in friends turns out to be a secret soroity that Paris really wants to join. After getting busted at school during midnight hours, the soroity girls, including Rory may get suspended.

This episode was great! I like Paris now. I also liked the girl at the very end who sat down next to Rory. She was cool for some reason. This episode gets a 10!
  • Secret Sisterhoods and Buster Clubs at Chilton

Problems in Chilton, apparently Rory isn't socializing must so the orientation teacher talk with her.

She sits at a table of an secret sisterhood, the Puffs, she didn't known about and Paris doesn't get how she could do that, she has been trying to seat there since ever.

Well they like Rory and Rory says good things about Paris and she is asked to seat.

Meanwhile, Lorelai goes to see the director and is forced to join a club to help Rory in the socialization thing.

She joins the Buster Club. They are trying to organize an event and at the end Lorelai is the responsable for everything and it is a sucess.

She really knows how to organize something. And seeing Emily at the runway was cute, the dancing part...

Never thought I would see that.

And the hole sisterhood thing back fires when the girls are caught in the director's office for the initiation.

Oh and Lorelai gets jealous because one of the member of the club showed interest in Luke.
  • A Good Episode with only a few Hitches.

Another episode this season that had some very good stories but were dragged down by some moments of silly and stupid writing. The first and I believe the most stupid this episode, was the fact that the school actually called out on one of the students inability to find friends. If this wasn't bad enough, I found that the schools counsellor either didn't act like a counsellor or wasn't written as one. She seemed more threatning to the students including Rory than she was there to actually help her. I have never seen in my entire life a counsellor forced to actually blackmail a student. This whole part was totally over the top and im sure there must have been another way to get Rory to the whole 'Puff' storyline which I felt was an excellent use of the episodes time.

The Puff sorority idea was a good one and showed that the show has a great creative thinking. The actor who played Francie in my opinion stood out and even though they didn't have much of a part, her cohorts also played into their role quite well. However the one actor that really stood out to me this episode, was Liza Weil who did a terrific job as a desperate and hopeless Paris who for her whole life wanted to be a puff. In some parts I found that Alexis Bledel was a bit behind the standards of the excellent Weil especially in her speech to Headmaster Charlton when the Puffs had been caught in his office which was completely outclassed by Weil's short but triumphant chat to Rory about what her life was meant to be and what Rory stood in the way of.

The whole Lorelai storyline was also a goodie. It was nice to see this new aspect of Lorelai from the one that always stood up against the life she had before with her parents. The booster club brought in the opportunity to not only show off both Emily and Lorelai's growing relatiosnhip which I have to admit is one of the high points for me this season, but also both Emily and Lorelai's love for Rory. The scene when they both walked down the catwalk was not only hillarious but also symbolic as Lorelai finally learnt how to follow her Mothers lead.

Overall minusing the fact that Chilton went into illegal activities and the episode (and Lukes storyline) was horribly unequal without Jess or even a mention of him, the episode still had a great deal of fantastic moments mainly included in the wonderful acting skills of Liza Weil.
  • the gilmore girls get busted for lack of particapation at chilton.

wow what a funny episode the fact that both girls got in trouble for not particapating in any events at rory's school chilton. i think that it was real funny because in some of the other episodes lorelai was at school meetings and at a bakesale but headmaster charlesten said it was not good enough for him to write a recommandation for rory to harvard. Paris looked really funny when the puffs came to pick up rory and take her chilton and i was really laughing when they all got busted for trespassing. i also thought that it was real funny that lorelai got emily to model in the booster club fashion show and that they both look like they had fun together. i thought that it was great that rory yelled at the headmaster at her school for him making her join a club evan though it did not stop her from particapating in future episodes.
  • Rory and Lorelai are in trouble for not taking part in social events at Chilton. So what do they do: Rory sits down at a table only to find out its the one table that Paris would kill to sit at and Lorelai joins the Booster Club.

This was a great episode. Lorelai and Emily were amazing in their matching outfits. I loved the way Lorelai tricked Emily into doing the fashion show. Also, I love that Rory stood up to Headmaster Charleston. He was going to suspend her for something he told her to do. Its a shame Lorelai never continued with the Booster Club. She would have been good for it.
