  • Lorelai and Emily go to a spa together. Both storylines were great!

Jess and Rory or Dean and Rory? Personally I think I'd choose her to be with Jess. As I said I think he is just a bit more interesting. Dean had a lot of disappointments here, from when Rory turned him down to when he found Jess at her house. His face really was like some lost puppy. Especially when Rory tried to ask him to stay, he just looked sad.

Paris and Rory's friendship grows here, I was so glad when Paris jumped in to save Rory from another argument with Dean. It was good to see her getting so involved with the book talk with Jess, very sociable. I hope she and Rory remain friends, after all Rory did let her stay over.

Then there is Jess, this episode proves that he really likes Rory, just because of the care package. Luke didn't ask him to take it, Jess thought of the idea himself. Again it was good to actually see him interact with someone other than Rory. Very funny when Rory asked him to leave, what he did was great.

Plus at the end, when Rory told him he was squirming, good scene. The end was brilliant actually, Lorelai and Dean staring at Jess and Rory, who are basically flirting. Dean asked if Lorelai would lie, Lorelai replies no .... interesting.

The spa day was very entertaining. It was enjoyable to see Emily really get on Lorelai's nerves. Funny how Emily made sure they spent the day together. It was great when they snuck out to get dinner, Emily really let herself go. It was good to see them bond. But them Emily panics after dancing with another man, this of course causes an argument.

Emily blames Lorelai for letting herself go. They make up (In there own way) and Lorelai persuades Emily to steal a robe she loves. All in all it was a brilliant episode, we haven't seen Sookie or Lane for a while though.moreless

First of all, I have to say this is one of my favorite episodes ever it was a great series classic. I loved Emily and Lorelai's scenes, it showed the relationship in depth, with their craziness, love, and fights. My favorite scenes of them together had to be when Lorelai was putting on the lipstick Vicious Trollop and Emily wore it too! :) I also love the scenes when they were in the restaurant eating steak and in the end when the robe symbolized their risk taking together. But the parts I enjoyed the most were when Paris, Jess and Rory were all hanging out. They were so much fun to watch. Especially the Jess and Rory stuff in this episode with their flirting and talking. I love them together! Dean just ruined everything with them. All in all, I recommend you see this episode- if you haven't yet!moreless

  • Lorelai and Emily go to a spa weekend together and the whole is Rory's for the whole night!!!

The episode was great because it was around the mother-daughter relationship in the faces of Lorelai and Emily.Emily was hilarious this episode.I really laughed at her because she was annoyingly funny in during spa weekend with Lorelai.Lorelai decides to go out for a dinner. They sit on the bar and Emily disaprove of such behaviour. It was funny to see Emily going out of her intelligence and making some crazy for her stuff such as dancing with unknown man and having fun with her daughter Lorelai. So laugh-out-loud moments for them but it also was dramatic at the end when Lorelai explains to emily her relationship with Rory.
Meanwhile Rory is happy that the whole house is hers now taht Lorelai is out of the town and she decides to be alone,to do the laundry on her own,to eat Indian food,to watch TV and to go to bed early.Dean is not so happy with that and Rory promises him that the whole weekend will be for him.Rory is interrupted by Paris who comes to her for studying. After that Jess comes too in order to bring food for Rory. The three have dinner together but Dean calls on the phone telling Rory that he is coming to her.Rory becomes nervous and tells Jess to leave. But Dean sees Jess in front of the door. The typical Jess/Dean fight.Dean is mad but Paris tells him that she is guilty because she has invited Jess.It was amazing to see Paris defending Rory.I really loved this moment.Rory invites Paris to spend the night at her house.
At the end of the episode Lorelai tells Dean not to worry but they both see Rory talking to Jess in Luke's cafe.moreless

Well everyone has plans for the weekend

Luke is remodeling the diner and one of the way to not be killed in there is having an umbrella lol

Emily offers Lorelai a trip to a SPA, she says yes and Emily goes along. Rory has the house for her.

Paris is in panic because of an A- and asks Rory to study with her.

All together, Rory's alone night doesn't happen, Paris show up to study, Jess brings food from Luke (lie) and to top it all Dean shows up. We have a huge fight and Paris helps Rory. She stays and sends the night.

Lorelai and Emily's weekend only happens for a day. They have the same treatments and they go out to dinner.
It looked like they were having fun then while dancing with a guy Emily freaks and they fight.
At the end, Lorelai and Emily steal ropes from the spa.

The fact that the next day Rory stays talking to Jess with Dean outside the diner, that image is really revealing.moreless

This episode is not only a pivotal part of the development of Lorelai's and Emily's relationship but also has Gilmore Girl charm and brings a new light to the character of Paris and Rory's true feelings toward Jess.

    • When Paris calls her Nanny to ask if she can eat dinner at Rory's house, she is speaking Spanish. However, in the season 5 episode 19, "But I'm a Gilmore!", Paris states that Nanny only speaks Portuguese. Edit
    • Paris says " Voy a comer la cena de casa de Rory" which translates into "I'm going to eat the dinner from the house of Rory." The proper Spanish would have been " Voy a cenar en la casa de Rory" which means I'm going to have dinner at Rory's house . Edit
    • When Jess comes to drop off the Luke's care package, Rory says she already ordered Indian food. Rory ordered the Indian food when Paris showed up an hour earlier, why does it take an hour to make the food and deliver it? Also, later in the episode, the food is never shown, does that mean it was never delivered? Explanation: In the deleted scene on the DVD Rory offers Paris samosas, which are in fact Indian food. So, it was delivered. Edit

    • Lorelai: Mom, you signed us up for a couple's massage. Emily: So? Lorelai: A couple's massage is for a couple – not a couple of people. Emily: It's more efficient this way. We'll both be finished at the same time. Lorelai: Mom, do you know what most people who get these massages do about five minutes after it's over? They have sex, together, probably while wearing their robes. Edit
    • Rory: I just wanted to thank you. Luke: For what? Rory: The care package. It was really sweet. Luke: What care package? Jess: Uh, Luke, they're hitting the water line again. Luke: What? Tom, you are dead. You hear me? Dead! (Goes off) Jess: Wanna pay? Rory: Funny, I don't think Luke knew anything about the food last night. Jess: That'll be $12.50. Rory: Which means you lied about why you came over. Jess: I'm out of quarters, I'll have to give you nickels. Rory: You wanted to come over! Jess: I gotta get back to work. Rory: You're squirming. I've never seen you squirm. It's entertaining. Jess: Yeah? Edit
    • (Rory is trying to get Jess to leave) Jess: Are you sure we couldn't sit down, have a little heart-to-heart? He'd tell me his issues, I'd tell him mine, we'd hug. Rory: (opens door) Go. Jess: (going outside) Okay, well give him my best...(sees Dean at bottom of steps) Actually, I think I might do that myself. Rory: He just dropped by to give me some food. Jess: From Luke's. Rory: He wanted to make sure I ate. Jess: Luke did. Rory: Yeah, Luke did. Jess: Personally, I could care less if she eats. Jess:(sees what Dean's holding) And what's that? Aw, a little ice cream package just big enough for two. How sweet. (Dean glowers at Jess) Oh, now you're doing that towering-over-me thing. Huh. You've really got that down. It helps that you're like twelve feet tall, but add that Frankenstein scowl it's just. Rory: Jess. Jess: Okay, I'm leaving. (starts to walk away, turns around and says to Dean) I really was just dropping off some food, so don't get all West Side Story on me, alright? Edit

    • Lorelai: Careful, Mom. That's how they get you in the Moonies. The Unification Church, known as "the Moonies" after its leader Sun Myung Moon, is a controversial religious cult. Edit
    • Jess: Look, man, I really was just dropping off some food, so don't get all West Side Story on me, okay? West Side Story is a musical that reworks Romeo and Juliet, set among American and Puerto Rican street gangs in NYC. Edit
