I ask because a lot are unsuccessful. Like the Friends spinoff "Joey" and the Happy Days spinoff "Joanie Loves Chachi".

    What makes this one different?

Given Disney's track record I give it no more than four seasons.

Disney will definitely have this run for four seasons. They're not really known to cancel something after one or two seasons. Even their shittiest shows run for three or four seasons.

    "Girl Meets Boy" episode description:

"Riley and Lucas connect when they are given a homework assignment that requires them to communicate face to face, rather than through texting."

Communicating face to face. There's a novel idea.
