  • Toni was counting on Joan to babysit Morgan while she was showing a house. But Joan was buying a car and arrived too late. Joan and Toni got into a fight after Joan accused Toni of being jealous of her success.moreless

This episode made me mad for several reasons. First of all, you could totally tell that the success of the J Spot had gone to Joan's head and she started to get less dependable than her usual self. But most of all, Toni was getting on my last nerve; she berated Joan for not being there for her when everyone knows that Toni is queen of not being there for her friends! I'm not saying that Joan was acting proper, but I'm glad that Toni got a taste of her own medicine. Their roles have somewhat switched: now Toni is more dependable and Joan is the selfish one. Yes, Joan needs to take herself off of that pedestal before she falls down, but for years she has be the dependable one, the good girl...let her be a little selfish and have some fun for a while!moreless
  • Roles are reversed between Joan and Toni. Joan is finally riding high and Toni is not in the limelight, as she usually is. Neither can handle their current situations although neither is aware of this. There are valuable lessons to be learned for all...moreless

Joan is riding high as she is being invited to all of the "In" functions and has several me courting her. She is not used to being in this kind of a situation and while she is relishing each moment, she does not realize that she is doing this at the expense of her friends.

She is constantly blowing them off, breaking plans, and/or not being there for them as they need her. She will soon realize that she has to pay a price for this and that deliberate or not one should never mistreat ones tried and true friends.moreless
