  • Classic Joan... But where was Lynn at?

    9.1
This episode was great. This was Joan as her usual but funny self. I knew exactly what was going to go on during the bathroom scene as soon as I saw her pull out her phone. She talks too loud and the guy hears it. Hilarious! But I believe that Lynn was underutilized in this episode. I mean she had like thirty or fourty lines at most. She was just written in because of her contract. The Maya and Darnell story arc felt similar to that. Girlfriends is not Joan and friends, though she is the center of the friendship, the lines and story arcs were not fair. This was Joan\'s episode through and through and it was funny. I\'m beginning to believe that they all can leave and it be \"Just Joan\" and the show would maintain hilarity, but, a very funny episode nonetheless.moreless
  • This episode was CLASSIC Joan!!!

    9.0
This episode was classic Joan!! I really like this new guy...I liked him when he appeared at the beginning of the new season, I like how they waited a while before having him reappear. Good Writing. Not like that Kareoke episode which was VERY painful to watch. I really enjoyed this episode. How many successful sistahs base brothers on what they have instead of who they are as a person. To show him as an intelligent, interesting, and appealing man, before letting you in on his financial situation was great writing at its best. It was easy to tell that Debbie Allen\'s directing was responsible for this. I enjoy everything the sister does....BRAVO!!!moreless
