  • Season finale or Series finale?

    9.9
Jill Marie Jones totally disappointed me tonight. I wasn't expecting her to show up but it would have been surprising to see her appear, especially if this is the last episode. I was so excited to see everybody re-appear tonight, that was really awesome. Joan totally deserves Aaron, and I can really picture them together for a long time. At last, 7 years in the making, Joan is getting married. Can you believe it? I sure can't. I am so happy for her. After seven years of following these ladies you begin to grow with them and learn them and treat them as if they're your real friends. I really hope that the show gets renewed, although this would be the perfect finale.

BTW, Maya and Lynn was the funniest tonight. I loved the way they planned this for Joan. Those are her real friends. William and Monica, back together? Hmph, I'll take it. Although I didn't let Monica off the hook all season, I will settle for her as long as she makes William happy. I now understand why in the last episode they wrote in the part about Lynn getting a paying gig. That was Lynn's closure. She finally stuck to something which was singer and it 'payed' off literally, in the end. I knew Darnell would make the best of his decision, and now Maya and Joan can be neighbors. I know his garage means a lot to him and I'm sure it will be successful. Can't wait for next season. (Keeping my fingers crossed.) It would be great to see Joan actually get married at her wedding, and Maya have her baby, and Lynn blow up big time as a professional singer. But if not, the show had a great run and I was VERY satisfied with the finale.moreless
  • Maya and Darnell may have to put their dream house on hold, after being given opportunity to buy back part of shop.

Maya and Lynn tried to comfort and give Joan hope when she proposes to Aaron and he doesn't respond.

The two work secretly in planning a proposal party for her. But run into a potential snag when Brock calls and meets with Joan.

Brock tells Joan that he basically made a mistake letting her go. He wants to get married and have 2 and a half kids with her which shocks Joan, being that he was so adamant about not having children.

She goes to Catalina but to everyones surprise Joan does not take the bait because she realizes that she truly loves Aaron.

Still hurt and embarrassed Joan is ready to give up. Maya & Lynn intervene after Joan talks to Aaron on the phone who insists on talking to her the next day. Joan goes over to Aaron's house and straight into a surprise proposal with some of the people who have mattered the most to her.

    It was a sweet finale.moreless
  • In the second part of the season finale, Maya and Joan tryed to intervene when Brock returns offering Joan marriage.

    10
Disappointed that she may have run Aaron off, Joan decides not to push the issue any further. She later receives a phone call from former love Brock. She meets him at a resturant where he tells her that he wants to marry her and have 2.5 kids.

Thinking at first that the man Joan is talking to is Aaron, they are shocked when he turns around and discover that it's Brock instead.

They learn that Joan has gone to Catalina and follows her there to stop her from making a mistake after feeling rejected. To everyones' surprise Joan did not take Brock back, sleep with him or do anything else serious. She realizes that she truly loves Aaron.

The girls work with Aaron to help him in his proposal to Joan with out her knowledge.

William meets Darnell to play basketball but he's so upset from the choice of the shop or the house he leaves.

Maya is so stressed from Lynn asking questions and getting hysterical that she slaps her. It's a scene straight out of "Hush, hush Sweet Charlotte". And funny.

The girls finally get Joan to call Aaron but he puts her off so she goes over to demand why, and walks into her engagement party. It was the happiest finale since Toni and Todd got married.moreless
