I love girlfriends, but let's be real, Lynn CAN NOT sing, that's all there is to it. Now I can identify with her saying that Joan and Maya needs her to be the loser in the friendship in order for them to feel better, I HAD BFF's that made me feel that way. I know this is just a show, but this happens more often than we realize.
  • I think Lynn may be onto something.

At least I hope she's finally found her true career beginning with this episode. Big Boi's appearance during the end of this episode was a nice little added bonus. The scene's I enjoyed the most were with William singing karaoke, and Lynn, Joan and Maya on Joan's deck-and Lynn yelling at them about the 'messages' they'd left. It was pretty funny when she realized Big Boi had actually tried to call her and she had deleted the message. This scene was very reminiscent of the whimsy and everyday hijinx the girls used to get into.moreless
  • Lynn becomes a Karaoke singer while her career stalls, Maya/Joan don't approve. Guest star Big Boi.

This Episode is one of the less funny episodes but that makes it a really good episode. Instead of focusing on how funny it is that Lynn is a Karaoke singer, it focuses on how sad she has become as a person that her career is stalling. It also focuses on how Maya/Joan are the new duo and Lynn is the third wheel. In most scenes there is Maya and Joan talking about what Lynn is doing wrong. This may have happened before but Toni was there to make it all about herself. With her gone, when they talk about Lynn they seem so fake and mean. I was actually quite angry with the way they had talked about Lynn behind her back. The William and Monica story line felt tacked on at the end seeing as that she already knew about William and Joan's relationship the first time she and William went out. It feels like the writers just needed a reason to have them in the episode (It was very funny though).moreless
