One Night Stand?
AIRED:
After Joan reveals that she hasn't had sex in a year, her friends push her to go for a one-night stand. Joan is reluctant because she generally doesn't sleep with anyone until she has been in a relationship for three months, but tries to make a move on Davis Hamilton, a handsome man who owns the restaurant the girls frequent. She convinces Davis to drive her home and makes a pass at him, only to learn that he is engaged. Although nothing happens between them, Joan tells Toni and Lynn that she slept with him. When the girls blab the news around town, Davis' fiancée dumps him, leaving Joan to struggle for a way to clean up the mess.moreless

This episode was the epitome of which makes thie series great in my opinion. I enjoy the thought-provoking commentary of life as friends and the daily grind on how to keep from going crazy in this fast paced world. To be more truthful, I believe that every female cast member is so beautiful. I am attracted in viewing this show everytime it airs in each new season and even in syndication. I love each personality from Tracee Ellis-Ross, Jill Marie-Jones, Golden Brooks and Persia White. All of them have a certain quality in their character that I look for in a women. This episode is classic in the sense of Joan learning more about herself and her day-by-day search for her "soulmate."moreless
  • I love the cute little scandals these women used to get into-it's hilarious.

Joan and Davis are friends-so she TELLS everyone who asks! When Davis is caught with his clothes off at Joan's house, tongues get to wagging-and Davis ends up with a broken engagement and Joan with egg on her face. As the girls enjoy a night out, Joan starts to lament on the fact that she's still single. She gets depressed, and drunk, and Davis ends up driving her home. One not to leave things as they are, Joan get sick over Davis and has to clean his clothes. Well, Lynn and Toni witness this, and spread the rumor (with Joan's help) that they slept together. The episode ends with the truth being revealed-but a new possible romance buds between Davis and Joan.moreless
  • Maya, Lynn, and Toni all are harping on how Joan needs to step out of her safe zone. So when they caught her in a very unlike her self situation they are oh so shocked.moreless

First off any episode with Randy J. Goodwin (Davis Hamilton) as the great potential to be an amazing episode. Why you ask? For two main reasons the brother is fine and he can act too. This one doesn't disappoint either because of Davis is extra fine in it. In this episode Joan decides with the help of her girlfriends to make a move on a guy. Enter the fine Davis who as been flirting with Joan. She decides to get Davis to take her home after she expresses to him that it is his duty to get his intoxicated patrons home safely. He agrees and ends up getting thrown up on by a drunken Joan. She ends up washing the pants and wouldn't you know it her three girlfriends walk in right when Davis is zipping up his newly cleaned pants. Seeing this leads the three to assume what anyone would assume. Thus putting Joan in a pickle about where or not to tell the truth or to lie.moreless
