Well, it turns out that she isn't pregnant. But for a few days, she freaks out about not being prepared to be a Mother. The girls even support her by buying her supplies, such as: prenatal vitamins and "Granny panties". Meanwhile, Lynn has a mini identity crisis when she receives a box of her old stuff, and remembers how she used to try and "pass for white." One of the best scenes in this episode is with Maya and Lynn, as Lynn looks through her box. She reminices about the music she listened to, and riding a skateboard around. Maya then asks,"Damn, girl-how white were you?" Very funny. And again, the comraderie between the girlfriends is clearly displayed in this episode.
I thought for a minute that poor Joan would lose her mind from the stress she was having.
It was funny in the drug store when Maya told her to go to the car.
At Joan's house the girls wait with her for support for the results of the test. When they think it's positive Joan struggles to come to grips with a baby. Maya's take is it could be a blessing and Toni tells her that she has options. The girls get excited as the episode winds on at the propect of being "aunties". Williams come by and offers apologies for not being there when she needed him and offers to be a father figure to the baby. Later Joan learns that it was a false reading and calls Toni who informs her that she read pre natal vitamins help the chest area. It was funny thinking about Joan greedily taking those vitamins to enhance her figure. Good episode.
