Attempting to cheer Maya up after having a miscarriage, Joan takes her on a shopping spree.

The girls are un easy around Maya, and at a lost for words after losing the baby. Joan decides to take her on a shopping spree which Maya does not appreciate. During the course of Joan changing clothes, Maya finds articles about military soldiers killed in action. She then realizes that Joan needs a release. Maya calls Lynn who comes to the shop in a ridiculous blue get-up. The coax Joan into talking and discover that she's afraid, angry and hurt, that the girls never ask about him.
Lynn and Maya realizing that their silence has hurt Joan, explains that they just don't want to think of him being in so much danger in Iraq. Joan has a temporary break down crying, but is comforted by her friends, who express their sorrow and love for her.
While in the dressing room, they get a call from William and Monica announcing that they are expecting a baby.moreless
