For the eighth competition, "Hog Wild", the teens meet at Hawaii's Ahvaloa Hog Farm and learn their newest competition will require them to get up close and personal with hogs. In the competition, one member from each team will enter the hog pen, with the goal of grabbing three colored flags from the back of three different hogs. The other two team members must first drink a glass of hog slop before joining their teammate in the pen. The first team to collect all three pens win. In a bonus twist, the boys will choose which girl enters the pen first, while the girls choose which boy will enter the pen first. Chosen by the girls team to enter the pen first, Kris struggles to find the first colored flag while Teri and Justin drink the hog slop. After working together in the pen for 1 minute and 40 seconds, the boys gather all three flags. In a move that surprises the boys, the girls team has no problems with either the flags or the hog slop, and find all three flags in a mere 40 seconds. The boys, disgusted with their loss, watch as another 100 points are added to the girls' score. The next day, Ursula and Dave lead the teens out to a crowded Hawaiian beach, where their next mission, "Speedboat Hunt" will begin. The teens learn that the mission will require each team to race a speedboat around the bay in search of clues that will lead them to treasure. Starting with a map to the location of the first clue, the teams race to a buoy, which floats above bottles containing a pieces to the next clue for each team. When the teens find it hard to hold their breath underwater, collecting the bottles, the girls decide they are satisfied with having only collected two pieces of the map to the treasure. To stay close to the competition, the boys team decides to follow the girls - knowing they only have two pieces of the map showing the location of the treasure. In the end, having left for the next clue pays off. The girls find having only two map pieces was sufficient, as they have found the next clue on land. The boys arrive on land shortly after. While both teams dig for their treasure on land, the boys unbury the treasure first: keys to unlock their fourth teammate. Shocked, the boys rush to unlock and meet their new teammate, who only Justin recognizes as Jake Epstein, star of "Degrassi". The girls unlock their new partner shortly after: Lauren, better known as Paige from "Degrassi". The boys leave the beach with 100 more points, and both teams end the competition with one more teammate. Back at their beach retreat, the "Degrassi" cast members get accustomed to their new home. While Jake tells the cameras it is overwhelming entering a group that has already formed, Teri and the other boys tell the cameras they believe Jake will be a valuable addition to the team. Meanwhile, Lauren and a star-struck Christina instantly bond over many things, including their interest in boys. Christina tells the cameras she believes Lauren is interested in Justin. That evening, the teens learn they must shop for groceries and also find time to hang out and get to know Lauren and Jake. When the teams decide to go bowling before grocery shopping late-night, Christina complains about the decision and refuses to participate in bowling. After returning home from a night of bowling and shopping, the teens end the evening with a night of Twister...getting them very close to their new teammates.moreless
