After last weeks revelation from Hannah's diary Charlie demands that she read it aloud so that he can hear how she phrases it. He becomes fed up with Marnie who didn't even write it and takes his coffee table back. This puts Marnie at odds with Hannah over it even though she should be offended that Charlie went snooping through her stuff in the first place. Jessa continues to have accidental chemistry with the father of the children she babysits and I think the mother is beginning to be aware of the danger/possibility there between the two of them. Jessa goes to see and ex-boyfriend who wanted to see how she was doing and even though he's with another woman the two end up having sex in Shoshanna's apartment and they're so caught up in each other when they enter that Shoshanna is there that she slips behind some curtain in the room so that she is not seen and sees the whole ugly thing. Jessa discovers her there after the man leaves and calls Sho a perv. Hannah is fed up with her boss's groping and whatnot and decides to go through with having sex with him. When she propositions him in his office he laughs at the idea and says that he is married. Hannah then threatens to sue him and he says that it's laughable she knows about suing at all in her generation. She then quits and he begs her not to saying that she has so much potential even if she can't do anything right. Hannah acts rashly and leaves his office. He's clearly a very nice man even though a little handsy and hopefully she will come to her senses and go back to the job. Marnie gets Charlie's address from a friend of his because she's never been there (even though she's been with him for five years). We also get a look back at how they first met at a party in college. Charlie has hand made a whole bunch of wooden stuff for his house. Marnie begs him not to break up with her over this even though she isn't in love with him anymore. When she convinces him to not break up with her names all of his conditions to be nicer to his friends and act like his life counts while they have make-up sex. When he starts to comfort her after having hit her head on the ceiling and saying "I'm here for you" she changes her mind and says that she wants to break up after all. Hannah seems to think that she and Adam are "together" but when she goes to his apartment she finds out their last meeting was a misunderstanding and that they won't be having sex or dating anymore. Adam claims that it can only last for six months or until someone stops having fun. Him noticing her "secret sadness" is a fair point in the imbalance of a relationship like the one she seems to think they have. She cries in his bathroom and then goes to ask for cab money home only to find him jerking off and she watches and talks dirty to him until he finishes. Quite the sex filled episode they have here but on the mature side it did feature a lot of realistic back and forth that couples seem to go through in every phase of a relationship especially after a long time and that both Charlie/Marnie and Adam/Hannah seem to break up at the same time for different reasons mean that they're parallel stories can continue to play off of each other thematically for a good long time.moreless
