Hannah's becomes more and more stressed from a looming deadline and pressure from her publisher. Meanwhile, Adam's new relationship isn't all plain sailing and Charlie's work party has consequences for Ray, Shoshanna and Marnie.

Already insecure about her employment future, Marnie is shocked that Charlie has not only started an App company, but it is a roaring success. Meanwhile, Hannah attempts not to show her parents how worried she is about her book, when they come to visit her. Also, Adam is set-up on a date and Shoshanna is concerned about Ray's dislike of college parties.

Marnie is asked to act as hostess for an art party thrown by Booth Jonathan and Hannah signs a publishing contract for e-books. Meanwhile, Adam manages to convince Ray to join him on an adventure.

Now that she is alone in her flat again, Hannah hosts a dinner party, but Charlie's girlfiriend, Audrey, clashes with Marnie. Meanwhile, Jessa meets her new in-laws and Shoshanna finds she has taken her relationship with Ray to the next phase.

Elijah starts to question his sexuality, resulting in hum sharing a secret with Marnie, who finds that she must compromise on her career expectations. Meanwhile, While Hannah receives some attention from Adam and Jessa finds she enjoys being a wife.

Jessa returns to New York fresh from her honeymoon, to find Hannah throwing a party to celebrate moving in to her new home. Meanwhile, Marnie receives some bad news and Shoshanna does her best to avoid Ray.

Hannah's lack of income forces her to take a job at Cafe Grumpy and her mood is not improved by discovering a former classmate has achieved literary success. Meanwhile, Jessa's former boss confronts her and Shoshanna starts internet dating.

Hannah returns home to Michigan to celebrate her parents' 30th wedding anniversary. But instead of spending the night with her mom and dad, she goes on a date and meets up with some high school friends.

Fed up with her boss' behavior, Hannah decides to make a move on him. Meanwhile, Marnie wonders about her relationship with Charlie and and Jessa wants to ensure she has the last word.

Hannah gets stressed when she receives a text message from Adam and, while babysitting, Jessa gets distracted. Meanwhile, Ray and Charlie get nosy and Shoshanna gets together with a guy she met at camp.
