Sexy and I know it...unfortunately not me but....
Tuesday 8:00 PM on FOX
Just saw the preview on youtube, Ricky Martin is hot!
WTF! Question......What does Will Schuster look like in that matador's suit/costume?
Answer........A right prat! And he murders the song.....in a bad way. ![]()
Hopefully the rest of the episode will be better!
In the previous episode, Rachel accepts the engagement from Finn, but then gets accepted from NYADA at the same time. Rachel should postponed the engagement until after graduating from McKinley High School and NYADA first!
Rachel did not sing in this episode at all and Tina is not in this episode either!

I just want to know why they don't use lights when their filming anymore..everything is soooo dark!!!
RenatoB Sorry, I think my earlier comments about Will were spot on, then again I suppose he was trying to be a prat! You might see what I mean when you have seen the episode. I won't spoil it for you except to say the David Martinez and Santana were SMOKING. Better than Smooth Criminal? Anyone agree on that? As for him coming back occasionally, they did that with Gwyneth Paltro and it sort of worked. I think the producers forget what they said earlier about guest stars and we will have to see if there is another tribute episode. It could be on the cards as they (producers) said it wouldn't happen! They tend to forget what has happened in general as many of the story line just disappear, cast into the abyss to be forgotten for ever unless they suddenly remember!
Overall a reasonable episode 8/10
I thought Ricky Martin did a great job. You know that he's going to perform, but you kind of forget he'll need to act too, and as a singer, you don't really expect him to be able to do so well, but I thought he did.
Rory seemed to be having trouble with the lyrics of Bamboleo. It seemed like he was trying to loosen a locked jaw. Given that I think even Spain-Spanish culture - let alone Spanish-of-the-Americas - might not be so well known in the potato fields of Ireland, it's probably forgivable.
During La Isla Bonita, I kept thinking looking at Ricky's hips and thinking that his partner is a very lucky man. ![]()
I don't have a problem with the fact Rachael didn't sing. Give some others a chance.
Some interesting character arcs; lots of little ones making important steps: Sue's mom arc, which is just plain ridiculous but somewhat poignant, as well as her job being threatened by Roz, which is a turn-around - it could offer an exit story for Jane Lynch if she wanted to leave - and Will's job changing around. Sam/Mercedes. Kurt/Finn. Will/Emma.
Seems like "David Martinez" is going to be hanging around for a while, or at least, periodically. Not sad about that at all.
Overall, I quite enjoyed it. The main thing I would say is that the story arcs and the Spanish song thing seemed to almost be from two separate episodes. I expected more of the better-understanding-of-Latino-culture thing, and more of the song selection/preparation stuff, but everybody just sort of magically had their stuff ready.
Oh yeah, and I realized I was grinning like an idiot every time Ricky was on-screen. Whatevs.
Eh... I didn't really like this episode. I thought he was good-looking but I actually did not like the song between him & Santana. I personally think Mercedes and Sam are a horrible couple... ugh I wish they would just get together, sick of storylines being wasted on them. I love how Emma got the tenure, every part with her & Will was adorable. I hope Ricky Martin comes back as a regular, I love that Will gave his job to him.
Overall I would give this episode a 6.5/10.
Does Emma teach any classes? As far as I can tell, she's the school counselor, not a teacher per se. Tenure is given to teachers, not administrative staff.
'During La Isla Bonita, I kept thinking looking at Ricky's hips and thinking that his partner is a very lucky man.'
Santana a man ? No freaking way! Perhaps just a typo (hopefully). ![]()
Much better than Michael. We got the return of Sue and she was her old hilarious self again. I loved her sub-plot of wanting to have a child and I was crying from laughing when she wanted Will's DNA. We also got a great performance from Ricky Martin and I liked some of the songs being done in Spanish. My only complaint was Santana'sportrayal. While I understood her outrage, her just going to the principal seemed out of character for a rebellious girl like her.
Grade: B+
