Wow, I didn't care for that at all. Except for Sugar's sexy push-up, that was fun. Except it was followed by Brittany mimicking a monkey. Is that supposed to be sexy?

Also, why does Ricky Martin sound like he has his mouth full when he's singing/talking? Is he always like that? I mostly know him for "La Copa de la Vida" and "Livin' la Vida Loca", but I never noticed that.

Anyway, whereas the whole Spanish/Latin theme intrigues me, I'm not really looking forward to this episode. I never liked Pitbull. I like that "Give Me Everything" song, but the guy just comes across as a bit douchy, and knowing that he's guest starring when he's not even an actor... bugs me. NeNe Leakes was a nice surprise, I think she did great (though I had no idea who she was before she joined the cast). So, not everyone who isn't an actor sucks at acting, Ricky and Pitbull might surprise me. But I'm still not looking forward to it.

Also, is Gloria Estefan still appearing? I never heard anything again.

Okay, I just checked the wiki and there's no mention of either Gloria or Pitbull. But this episode does apparently feature a Gloria song (that I find annoying ), so maybe that's what was talked about?

Anyway, they're doing "La Isla Bonita", which is one of my favorite radio songs. They're always playing that song on the radio here in Portugal, and I love it, I can't wait to see their rendition.

WTF! Question......What does Will Schuster look like in that matador's suit/costume?

Answer........A right prat! And he murders the song.....in a bad way.

Hopefully the rest of the episode will be better!

He actually sounds good. It's just weird when he says "satisface me" with an English accent.

In the previous episode, Rachel accepts the engagement from Finn, but then gets accepted from NYADA at the same time. Rachel should postponed the engagement until after graduating from McKinley High School and NYADA first!

Rachel did not sing in this episode at all and Tina is not in this episode either!

The absences without explanations are really bugging me. I mean, in the first few seasons, they at least gave brief explanations explaining the absence of any of the Glee members (Matt had spiders or lice, leading to Rachel's duet/crush on Mr Schu; Puck went to juvie). Last week, no Sugar....this week, no Tina, both with no explanation. And don't get me started on the missing 8 girls from the Troubletones. This wouldn't bug me so much, except that, at the beginning of this season, it was Mercede's tardiness (let alone complete absence) that led to her confrontation with Will, leading to her leaving the Glee club. And that was before Sectionals.....now they should be practicing for Regionals, making it that much more important that everyone shows up to practices. Why wouldn't Will be going ballistic at these absences? Sure, it's possible the actors might be doing some other project which takes them away from Glee, but just write a quick line that they are sick, or in detention, or even presiding over a student council's meeting......the writer's apparently have forgotten that they wrote that Brittany is now student council president! I thought at the time it would be a perfect opportunity to write some classic Brittany one-liners (which have been sorely lacking this season), but the writer's have just left Brittany's presidency hanging out to dry!

Haven't watched the episode yet, but just read the latest Ausiello scoop that said Ricky Martin could come back... as a series regular.

    ...

    Are you fricking kidding me?

RenatoB Sorry, I think my earlier comments about Will were spot on, then again I suppose he was trying to be a prat! You might see what I mean when you have seen the episode. I won't spoil it for you except to say the David Martinez and Santana were SMOKING. Better than Smooth Criminal? Anyone agree on that? As for him coming back occasionally, they did that with Gwyneth Paltro and it sort of worked. I think the producers forget what they said earlier about guest stars and we will have to see if there is another tribute episode. It could be on the cards as they (producers) said it wouldn't happen! They tend to forget what has happened in general as many of the story line just disappear, cast into the abyss to be forgotten for ever unless they suddenly remember!

    Overall a reasonable episode 8/10

I thought Ricky Martin did a great job. You know that he's going to perform, but you kind of forget he'll need to act too, and as a singer, you don't really expect him to be able to do so well, but I thought he did.

Rory seemed to be having trouble with the lyrics of Bamboleo. It seemed like he was trying to loosen a locked jaw. Given that I think even Spain-Spanish culture - let alone Spanish-of-the-Americas - might not be so well known in the potato fields of Ireland, it's probably forgivable.

During La Isla Bonita, I kept thinking looking at Ricky's hips and thinking that his partner is a very lucky man.

I don't have a problem with the fact Rachael didn't sing. Give some others a chance.

Some interesting character arcs; lots of little ones making important steps: Sue's mom arc, which is just plain ridiculous but somewhat poignant, as well as her job being threatened by Roz, which is a turn-around - it could offer an exit story for Jane Lynch if she wanted to leave - and Will's job changing around. Sam/Mercedes. Kurt/Finn. Will/Emma.

Seems like "David Martinez" is going to be hanging around for a while, or at least, periodically. Not sad about that at all.

Overall, I quite enjoyed it. The main thing I would say is that the story arcs and the Spanish song thing seemed to almost be from two separate episodes. I expected more of the better-understanding-of-Latino-culture thing, and more of the song selection/preparation stuff, but everybody just sort of magically had their stuff ready.

Oh yeah, and I realized I was grinning like an idiot every time Ricky was on-screen. Whatevs.

Eh... I didn't really like this episode. I thought he was good-looking but I actually did not like the song between him & Santana. I personally think Mercedes and Sam are a horrible couple... ugh I wish they would just get together, sick of storylines being wasted on them. I love how Emma got the tenure, every part with her & Will was adorable. I hope Ricky Martin comes back as a regular, I love that Will gave his job to him.

Overall I would give this episode a 6.5/10.

This episode was pretty good and funny. The song choices were not amazing but it was an entertaining hour of TV. NeNe Leakes is hilarious! Coach Roz vs Sue was epically hilarious!

I LOVE Glee but this episode was absolutely appalling. I was insulted by how horrible it was. Ricky Martin was a great actor in his part, but the whole Spanish storyline was dumb and unnecessary. Will was awful to Emma, his fiance, and his knowledge of Spanish is one tenth of Dora the Explorer. Sue had another we-writers-don't-know-what-to-write week, resulting in another dumb Sue plotline. Mercedes STILL hasn't broken up with her cliche bubba boyfriend, and I know cheating's wrong but poor Sam. Finchel continues to be the most oblivious and unhealthy relationship on the show. Tina wasn't even there, and there was no explanation as to why. Heck, I even had a problem with the chairs in the choir room.

The things I did love were Santana, Emma getting tenure, Kurt's reaction to Rachel (at the 'diva sleepover'), and his talk with Finn about holding Rachel's purse on the red carpet. They belong together. Yeah right.

Does Emma teach any classes? As far as I can tell, she's the school counselor, not a teacher per se. Tenure is given to teachers, not administrative staff.

Santana a man ? No freaking way! Perhaps just a typo (hopefully).

Much better than Michael. We got the return of Sue and she was her old hilarious self again. I loved her sub-plot of wanting to have a child and I was crying from laughing when she wanted Will's DNA. We also got a great performance from Ricky Martin and I liked some of the songs being done in Spanish. My only complaint was Santana'sportrayal. While I understood her outrage, her just going to the principal seemed out of character for a rebellious girl like her.
