Kurt joins the football team; Quinn delivers some shocking news to Finn; Rachel loses the spotlight; and Sue keeps trying to ruin the Glee Club. Oh yeah, and a bunch of burly athletes do the 'Single Ladies' dance by Beyonc... no, seriously. They do.moreless
Ouch! 'Glee' really dipped into fantasy land last night. The storyline was bonkers:
Kurt joined the football team. Any normal football team would TORTURE a guy as flamboyant as him -- but no! Kurt summons all the leg strength of a football pro and boots 'er into the sunrise. All while accompanied by the sound of his stereo blaring 'Single Ladies' by Beyonc. Quinn is pregnant! And Finn isn't the father -- it's actually Puck's child. But Finn believes that prematurely ejaculating in a hot tub could impregnate his girlfriend. He ACTUALLY believes this. He must create super sperm! Expectant father Finn needs a football scholarship. The best way to do this? Have Kurt teach the team the 'Single Ladies' dance. And they all do it, after minimal grumbling. They even perform in front of the entire school, and win their match. Last night's episode was so ridiculous and unrealistic! 'Glee' has one foot firmly set in reality, and just tears its own storylines to pieces by making the deliverance ridiculous. I believe in creative license, but I REALLY hope the show stops being so unbelievable. And they overplayed 'Single Ladies' too. I think it was in five different scenes! To be honest, it would have been extremely funny to watch a football team do the 'Single Ladies' dance -- if it had been a dream sequence or something. Making it real really watered down the actual content of the storyline. Sorry, 'Glee'! I hope I enjoy next week's episode a lot more.moreless
Kurt joins the football team just to impress his father. Finn and Quinn's relationship get a shocking development. Rachel thinks her star is fading when Tina is given a better part during rehearsals which causes her to leave. Sue continues her schemes to dismantle the glee club. I loved this episode, the whole storyline was awesome in my opinion! I love Kurt, I love the scenes all to do with the football game and try outs. I love the way Finn believe in him. I also love the storyline between Finn and his girlfriend her being pregnant, who she says she is the farther but it is his best friend - awesome storyline. And then Will's spouse Terri goes to she Finn's girlfriend due to the fact that she needs a baby sometime soon. I'm really looking forward to the next episode, all the storylines are getting even better, I love it. I also love Rachel's storyline, I find it very interesting! Bring on tonights episode.moreless
Theres so much happening in this episode. Some of it might be dumb and cheesy like Finn actually believing Quinn got pregnant from the bath tub but there was so much going on that none of the very limited flaws were noticed. The dialogue was hilarious, principal Figgin's video...OMG ! Everything from the shocking Quinn being pregnant with Puck's baby to Rachel leaving the Glee club for a play that's part of Sue's plan to destroy the club, to Kurt's " I'm gay daddy don't be mad " issues set to Beyonce's music, were explosively funny and entertaining. I loved this episode !!moreless
Best opening ever, Kurt rules in this episode! I'm never going to be able to hear single ladies again without seeing the football guys doing the dance! I actual love this episode, Glee is the best thing on TV right now, and 2nd in my all-time favourite list (after Friends of course).
It's just such a great show you can't help but love it. Yes it cheesy, but who cares? It makes you feel happy and want to join Glee club (maybe that's just me...) This episode is everything Glee is about! It's fricking amazing. Best episode in the history of good episodes! :)moreless
So many teens believed the hot tub myth that Quinn told Finn about how she supposedly got pregnant by him that after the episode aired there was a note posted on Glee's Facebook page called "As a Follow-up to Last Week's Episode "Preggers" ...you can not get pregnant from a hot tub." Not only does it clear up that pregnancy myth but many more.

(after Rachel walked out of rehearsals because she didn't get the solo)Artie: The more times she storms out of rehearsal, the less impact it has.
Edit
Sue: I'm tired of hearing people say, I'm riddled with this disease, or I was in that tsunami. Shake it up a little! There's really no difference between a stadium full of cheering fans and a crowd screaming abuse at you. They're both just making a lot of noise.

Puck: Well call the Vatican! We got ourselves another immaculate conception!

Sue: Yes, you cane.
This is a reference to "Yes, you can", the catchphrase Barack Obama used during the presidential campaign in 2008. The goal was to imply that Obama wanted to bring back hope and that everything would be possible in a new America.

The background music for Figgins' ad comes from the Bollywood song "Didi Tera Deewar Deewana" ('Sister, your brother-in-law's crazy') from the 1994 blockbuster hit Hum Aapke Hain Kaun...! (Who Am I To You?)

In this episode Terri admits to her sister that there is a secret regarding her baby and she assumes that she means the baby is part African American. Jessalyn Gilsig who plays Terri, played Gina on Nip/Tuck who had an African American baby, in both cases the characters were lying about a pregnancy. Ryan Murphy, Glee's creator is also the creator of Nip/Tuck.
