  • First two seasons - outstanding. Second two seasons - insitting?

    8.0
Alright, I just made that word up, but I needed one that was the complete opposite of outstanding. So, when I first watched the first season of Glee I absolutely loved it. I loved the characters, who were all so intriguing and fabulous, I loved the humor, which was put in the show perfectly, the drama that never failed to stick me to my screen, the plots, which were all so intriguing and fascinating... and the season 2 didn't disappoint me either. It all got better, actually. The relationships became better too, and I got my first OTP (one true pairing) - Tike (Tina and Mike). I was fascinated, and I thought that season 3 was going to be even better. But it failed. Sure, the acting was still amazing as always, and the music got even better if possible, but these new characters were just awful. I absolutely hated Shane and that bitch Roz. And the main characters changed for worse too. They lost their spark. But, what really disappointed me were the plots - they became so one-dimensional and just plain. Glee completely lost its spark. But then, season 4 came. And I started disliking Glee even more. Music and acting, as always, are still fantastic. The plot got kind of better, but the characters - awful. The main cast was okay, but the new characters - Marley, Jake, Ryder, Kitty, Unique, Brody - awful! These characters completely ruined the show for me. But, I try not to focus much on the last two seasons and I'm still hoping that Glee will become better in seasons 5 and 6. It's always going to be my second favorite show (right after Friends) and I'll never forget it. But it really needs to improve its plot and characters! And the new relationship also pretty much suck, but I think that sort of goes under the characters category. The two thumbs down are from my previous Glee review, and now I changed it, so don't mind them.

Edit: I also forgot to say that the humor disappeared completely in season 3. They should bring it back and stop all the drama. There's too much of it.
  • Not very good...

    5.0
This used to be the best show ever. I'm serious. Unfortunately, even the best shows can turn bad in a matter of seasons; I was willing enough to watch Seasons 2 and 3, but now on season 4 I can hardly stand to watch.

I know this show has done amazing things for some people, and I'm not denying that at all. The original purpose of the show was to provide a safe and informative place for teens and preteens without shoving it down their throats, and season one hit this goal exactly on target. Its main theme revolved around Quinn's baby and the uncertainty of Finn and Rachel's relationship, and did so in a humorous yet thought-provoking way. The show allowed the watcher to make inferences and connect details for themselves, while raising awareness of gays, teen preganancy, bullying, etc. It was an amazing show with awesome characters and I really loved it.

Fast forward to season 4. After a few good and a few bad episodes during seaons 2 and 3, I didn't exactly know what to expect of the new storyline. I liked Rachel's new life in New York, I wasn't sure about the new cast of characters and such, but I was willing to give it a try. Bad idea. Week after week I would watch the show hoping it would get better, but it didn't. The writers decided to replace the old, grown-up cast of McKinley High with the exact same stereotypes. Here are how they did this:

    Finn=Ryder

    Mercedes=Unique

    Puck=Jake

    Quinn=Kitty

    Rachel=Marley

The list goes on. I was only interested in the old character's new lives, not the new cast carrying out the would-be lives of the same sort of people. I know this is harsh, but Glee has been putting together increasingly poor attempts to address every single issue they haven't already covered- dyslexia, internet dating, prostitution, sex abuse, blah blah blah. Instead of cleverly incorporating this into the storyline, they blatantly broadcast these ideas through the mouths of the now one-dimensional characters. They treat the watcher like a horse at a lead rope- here, here is one idea. Let me smush this into your brain. Here, this is another idea.... You get the point. Everything is so obvious and cliche that I'm growing sick of it. People don't just turn "not gay" just like they don't just suddenly become gay, but Glee no longer seems to recognize this. A once brilliant and inspirational show, they now are resorting to all the old cliches and stereotypes you'd expect of a show of much lower quality. Besides, the humor just isn't there anymore.

For people who are considering watching Glee: Start with season one, NOT four. It's up to you to continue the show, but I would definitely reccomend season one to anyone who's looking for a few laughs and wants to listen to awesome music. Season 4's music is boring, but season one definitely has a better soundtrack of non-preachy music and fun characters. For the most part, this show is very good.
  • GREAT SONGS

    9.0
MILLION dollar Q? Wondering if they will ever do Karen Carpenter songs? And Mean Stevie Wonder songs tonite..
  • Just, what happened?

    5.5
Where do I even start! Glee was my favorite show, you know during the first and second season. Glee lost everything I've ever loved about it! For example the warblers, vocal adrenaline, the tribute episodes, great covers on old songs that are popular, the actual plot (Empowering The Underdogs), and character development! Why are they still talking about Rachel and Kurt, don't get me wrong I "loved" the characters but now they are getting annoying! Hello! Why is this still the Rachel Berry show when Finn was the original main character! I like how the "oldies" are still in the show but since most of them are in college the show should try to be a little realistic. They only should come during Thanksgiving, Christmas, or end of the school year episodes. I hate the new characters considering they're just like the old ones. I mean I liked Ryder at first until they ruined his story line with the online girlfriend thing and totally regarded this dyslexia problem! Speaking of story lines they ruined, when was Quin a lesbian! And I don't even want to mention Klaine! Season 2 was my favorite with the warblers and Klaine but they ruined it because Kurt would've never cheated on Blaine, nor Blaine cheat. The songs were still amazing through season 3, but season 4 is sucking right now. I liked Marley's original song "Outcasts", the "New York State Of Mind" duet, and a couple others, And why did they get rid of Rory! How come Sugar and Samuel are never in glee club anymore? I loved Brody until of course they ruined him by making him a male prostitute. Marley had a great story line until they made two guys fight over her and why isn't that she is poor but wears expensive clothing, some characters wear the same outfits but the poor girl has a new one every week. The show is so unrealistic!
  • this show is my favourite of all time !!!

    10
Ok, lets just start by saying that Glee is my favourite show in the world.

im not trying to suck up or anything but it is.

i want to be an actress and a singer thanks to glee !!

so thumbs up if you love it to..............

I love all the characters and thankyou so much to Ryan murphy for creating it !!!!! xxxxx :)
  • \knowing when to 'just' let Go??

    1.0
HOME & AWAY and Neighbours, when a cast member moves on, they are written out and the programme continues with new cast and new scripts. Glee seems to NOT be able to LET GO of the previous cast members. Kirt and Big Nose girl went to NYC... end of... we do NOT need to see what they are doing and how they are doing it in NYC. They left and that should be the end of their characters.

IF Home & Away and Neighbours were the same way - both would still have Kylie and Jason would still be a part of the the programme, they MOVED on and did the programme.

When a senior graduates, that is the 'END' of that character - and yes american's hollywood character's are only fictional - NOT REAL. Try the History or Discovery Channel if you want quasi-historical accounts of previous/current events.

If you want a College / University Glee - then do TWO programmes, one high school and the other post High School, one step closer to the reality of the real world.

IF the network insists on following former High SCHOOL Characters, then do a spin off programme.

How sad the sycophants that need to still be an integral part of a 15 to 18 year old's programme....

it is my fav show ever xxx

the reason for my love for rthe show is because i love musical theatre and so this fits nicely with my interests and also inspires me every day.

the characters who i like consist of:

    kurt

    rachel

    puck

    santana and brittany

    sam

    quin

so pretty much all the characters, i think they are all also very pretty, the girls especially rachel even though people say her nose is too big, i think its beautiful.

i would have to say that i prefered the glee club in previous series as i am not too keen on the peopkle in it now however i still enjoy watching rachel and kurt in new york living their dreams.

i am very sad that i have missed the few most recnet episodes so dont tell me what happens as i will be catching up, however another disadvanatage is that becuase it is on sky 1 this is not on demand and so is hard to find somewhere to rewatch on tv.

i also love mercedes what a diva, i would love to be like her one day and i find it very inspiring that she went on pop idol bvefore and even though got turned away by simon coweeel she stayed strong and is now completely amazing and beautiful.

    blah blah blah

i coould go on and on about how much i love it

but im sure if u r reading this u will agree with me

  • BEST. SHOW. ON. TV.

    10
I can't even describe to you how amazing this show is. Watch the pilot, and you'll see why this show is everything that is good in the world.

Just a heads up that each season is deifferent, the show matures as it goes on. So season 1 & seaosn 4 are completely different, but both as good :)
  • Glee - Amazing <3

    9.5
Glee Club is the most different and the most perfect place. I love this TV show. I think Klaine is perfect. I`m crying on the sad songs, I`m laughing with them and they make me the girl who I am now. I grow up, while I`m watching. I love this show <3
  • Bad and disgusting last week.

    1.0
First time I saw this excuse for a TV show. Two guys making out, disgusting. The singing ruined all the good movie songs. Worst show on TV! How did Glee ever make it the first year?
  • It's not the WORST Show ever, but it is still pretty bad.

    6.0
do I begin? Well first of all the premise is too damn common and the characters are so, so, so terribly generic. I mean, these characters I've seen everywhere! And the "emotional bits" in the show are really, really generic too! I mean is it so hard to come up with something original! Obviously since they've only had one episode focusing on original songs. To be fair, there are a few funny parts here and there. The worst character is probably Rachel because she's so full of herself and is a slut now. The best character one. I think they should kill off the old characters I really just don't care about them at all anymore and the new characters are more or less interesting. I don't like Mike and Molly's daughter though because there's no fricking way you can be anorexic when you have a 600-lbs mom.

EDIT: Oh yes, the voices! I forget to mention them. Mainly the girls are pretty good singers and Kurt is also pretty good as for the just no. I can't think of any other guy on the show who actually is a good singer. I think the worst singer is definitely Blaine. Actually that Jake guy is a pretty decent singer.

Also, please get stupid JB hair idiot and fish lips out of the show. They. Have. No. PURPOSE!
  • Mad about Marley

    8.0
Was hooked for season one, I would fast forward through season two to just watch the musical numbers as the story line lost me, Didn't even give season three a chance. But am seriously liking season four and it is 100% because of Marley. That girl is so sweet and heart warming and her voice is my favourite of all past and present glee members. i dont even care if shes with jake or riley as long as her stories take a big chunk of each episode im happy!
  • Glee Changed My Life

    10
I moved and I had no friends, then this girl introduced me to Glee 3 years ago. I started talking to her more, and we became best friends. Glee also gave me confidence in myself. I now have tons of friends and a boy friend I've been dating for nearly 2 years. Lea Michelle imspires me ! I wish I was as good as an actor, dancer, and singer as she is. I love this show !
  • Just decent

    5.0
The real good reason I watch Glee is because, musically speaking, it's amazing! Great voices, great covers and I LOVE harmonizing voices and brilliant reinterpretation of some songs.

Unfortunately, I also love a good plot and characters. The characters look like they have personality disorders and their behaviour is just incoherent all the time. Plus, for a show that is against cliches, it is pretty much full of them: gays, egotistic divas, evil bitches with a good heart, badass guys who are good guys, etc, just unrealistic. That's really a pity!
  • Lea Michele, YUCK.

    1.0
I haven't watched the fourth season. When I discovered Lea Michele was staying on I just couldn't bear to watch any longer. Her talent is one dimensional. Always the same. She seems to fit solely into one kind of plot whatever city you put it in: lack of confidence, followed by a breakdown, followed by eye-schrunking surprise success. Yuck.

Get rid of her and I might go back. I so miss Chris Colfer and the cast members remaining
  • Glee performs Jungal Style

    2.0
Since the fourth season of the show has started - the show made me really disappointed.

All the boring new characters that they have added make me wanna kill them.

Not only that they have changed all of the show, the original interesting characters are no longer available!

    I mean, what the Fu@#?

Where is Santana, where is Mercedes, Queen? They are the once who made the show so lovely, not boring bitches like Kitty, She is like a walking stereotype of a mean popular cheerleader, where is the creativity of the writers? I don't want to see Sam and Brittany together, It's such a cliche and quite Nazi to see the blonde guy with the blonde girl. Umm, I love brittanica, but it seems as if Glee is now a republican show! Maybe Mitt Romney decided to lose his frustration

by buying a stupid tv show about losers who keep losing...

And even if I start accepting the fact that Glee has changed (and jumped the shark) I could never buy the really

lame storyline; Why are we informed of Tina's grand love to Blaine only in one episode and how come he is in love with Sam who is suddenly in love with Brittany?

When did Glee become a South American Telenovela?
  • GLEE INDONESIA

    10
When and what channel will air Glee?

We're big fans of Indonesia glee glee waiting time will be aired again in Indonesia!!!!!
  • comme ci comme ca

    1.0
i hate the fact that they pushed religions on that kind of shows !!
  • Glee still has it going on

    9.5
Now, I'm not going to sit here and talk about how perfectly perfect glee was, and is and will always be, but you gotta admit, it's pretty close. After season 2, it's views plummetted and it hasn't gotten the same love all around as it used to, but it really is a show you simply have to appreciate. They have endless doors of creativity, their song choices always fit perfectly, and they always seem to find a way to give each season its own special spark. Although that spark has wavered occassionaly, Glee has succeeded at never making it fully go out. Along with everyone else, I was pretty unsure about the new chracter's this season. However, I have gotten to really be intruged by them. Especially Kitty and Marley. I can't wait to see where the writer's take them and am honestly crying in the corner of my bedroom, eagerly awaiting the return of this show.
  • love the song ssssssssss .

    10
I can watch the episode several time . specially when the songs are the one i know and like .

even the new cats is amazing . love them all . please continue
  • Superior Quality Despite It's Pattern of Slow Starts

    10
I have learned there is a consistent rocky-start pattern Glee exudes each year, and I have also learned to accept it because in the end it is so worth whatever bumps I had to suffer through with them to get to that point of blissful storytelling set to some of the best musical productions I have ever experienced that they are always able to finally end with. Each fall Glee starts like a kid learning how to ride a bike for the first time. I am always nervous during the first show or 2 each fall as those episodes seem to be searching, like a pinata batter, for the best storyline or theme to latch onto as if they don't really know what they're searching for. It always worries me after that first show that Glee will run out of creativeness or good themes or energy that makes it such a treat and turn people off and come out with poor ratings. But then by the 3rd or 4th episode they hit the mark and the show explodes with awesome song arrangements that make even the sappiest songs worth hearing and wonderful life messages it never hurts to revisit. I am so impressed by the writers and choreographers of this program. I feel like I am going to a full stage play production each week and I don't even have to pay for it! My only pet peeve is that when they take a break they really TAKE a break. I mean, come on! I shouldn't have to wait almost 2 months to see the show I dearly love to see! I also worry about how they are going to continue the show as the young players continue to get older. So far it's working well. Anyway, if you feel Glee's going downhill, you've got to keep the faith. This happens each year. In the end I always end up happy and crying at the same time, and that's not a sign of poor quality. It's still number 1 for me.
  • Inconsistent

    6.0
Glee has its ups and its downs, and being consistent is not one of the ups. There are some shining moments and episodes but overall its quite weak - character development cast aside, plot lines disposed of back and forth, and melodrama everywhere. The songs are nice but are not always amazing. It's a good show but there are many out there that surpass it.
  • even this crap is 1000 times better than REALITY TV which blows stink all over the airwaves!!!!!!!

    5.5
since the networks and cable channels have decided to go cheap on us and make 99 percent REALITY TV shows, wrestling (on sci-fi!!) and are always cancelling great shows... i have cancelled my cable and no longer watch any tv... i download all my shows i like off the internet and have started watching alot of bbc shows from england. I'll not sit in front of the box and watch crap in the evenings after working all day. I want quality or nothing at all from the networks / cable channels. I SUGGEST WE ALL BOYCOTT THE TV for one week each month until the REALITY CRAP is taken off the air. That crap causes brain damage... it's totally unacceptable. No one is stupid enough to enjoy that crap except some inbred bigfoot half-breed. They want to produce the cheapest crap possible and still retain the ratings to get sponsors and advertising dollars. Don't give them the appearance of ratings by watching at all. Turn off you cable / sat and download... NO Commercials!!! and only watch what you want to watch when u want to watch it... been doing this for 4 years now and it's great. Only problem is, running out of shows to watch. Sci-Fi channel, now si-fi (junk now) sold out and became a cess-pool putting on fantasy and wrestling crap... was once the best channel on cable... anyways,

boycott cable / networks and download from internet...

watch ur shows without commercials or interuption...

hope the networks realize they're loosing their loyal viewers because we're NOT dumbing down and

    we HATE reality TV crap...

screw u a-holes... you're idiots and you're gonna kill ur networks/channels if you keep on this way
  • Na NA NA Blaine!

    7.0
Just rewatching old episodes, did anyone notice in episode 3 Blaine was wearing a costume simular to Robins', and than two episodes later he was dressed in a glaringly simular fashion to Nightwings. What are the writers trying to allude to??????? LOL

  • Bulimia references are appaling!

    1.0
I was Disgusted in the bulimia reference in this episode and the glamorization of It. It's frightening to think of all the young girls viewing this show that are being shown that this is a cool thing. And I'm offended that this scene was even allowed to air. I believe the creator of glee need to apologias for the way they are encouraging eating disorders among teen girls! this needs to stop!
  • i luv this so much

  • Glee - Needs to be broken up

    7.0
I've already noticed this season that there's just too much going on to do justice to the show. They really need to spin Rachael and Kurt off in their own show. Lord knows there's enough plot and material to do that. If they don't the kids at McKinley High just aren't gong to be able to develop any kind of plot for all the jumping back and forth.
  • GleeRocks123

Glee's ''The Break-Up'' episode was by far one of the best Glee episodes ever in history of Glee. It was about the couples of Glee and if they could survive their relationships or not. First we got Finchel. As you know from last week at the very end of the episode Finn walked in on Rachel and Brody. My question left me thinking are they staying together or are they gonna have ''The Break-Up''. Next we have Brittana. Brittana is one of my favorite couples because they just have this thing that pulls together that just makes it so lovable. And one of Glee's most sweetest couples is Klaine. Klaine is the second to best couple on Glee. It finally comes down to Wemma. Wemma is trying to survive because Will gets this job apllication that will make him have to leave the Glee club. I would this episode a best episode on Glee so far.
  • Great show!
