  • Loved Lea Michele's solo!

This has got to be Rachel's best performance yet. I thought that was the highlight of the episode. Everything else was the usual drama with the baby daddy reveal, and Silvester/Scheuster feud. There was a lot jammed into this episode and I'm not entirely comfortable with the fact that just about everything was resolved especially the situation with Will and Emma. Everything that we wanted to happen happened so the question is what's in store for the second season? Sue's character may be too hilarious to get rid of after season one so perhaps a revenge plot lurks in the future? I speculate that she'll move on to one of the other competing schools that will be at regionals. Just a guess.
  • Sectionals are finally here, unfortunately Mr. Schuester can't be there and Emma takes his place. Rachel tells Finn the big secret. Sue has rigged the finals. Finally everything seems to be in an uproar as the group is not in sync with each other.

So as we get ready to leave William McKinley High School Glee Club for a short hiatus everything seems to be unraveling.

Finn punches out Puck after finding out about Quinn and now he won't speak to or perform with anyone in Glee. Rachel was the one who spilled the beans. It seems Will's marriage is over just as Emma is getting married. Sue is gloating in her seemed triumph over everything Glee. Then when the Club gets to sectionals their whole set is recreated by the other two choirs performing before them.

Believe it or not I really haven't given that much away and you'll have to see this episode for yourself. The music is wonderful in this episode. Especially Lee Michele's(Rachel) performance of "Don't Rain on my Parade" which was a show stopper. The ending really sets up a confrontation of epic proportions for next Spring. Also we'll be able to look forward to some new relationships and how they develop.

All in all a fun and witty episode of Glee doing a really good job of setting up the hiatus and leaving us wanting more Glee this Spring. I for one can't wait! Thanks for reading...

I was so excited to watch this episode since I saw the preview. I'm 32 and I just can't believe I am so hooked on this show, but I have to say that this show has magic, great chemistry among the cast and well, superb performances (when it comes to singing of course).

First, I was impressed by Lea's solo in the competition. I didn't know what song was, but I knew it was from one of those old movies and I wasn't wrong. Her performance tops any experienced singer's and well, she was able to fill the stage and that is what a true star can do.

I was glad that Finn found out the truth. Diana doesn't really convince me. I really like her voice but she needs to improve her acting. I'm glad Will decided to take the next step and try to move on with this life, I just hope everything works out for him. Seeing him so proud of the Club was nice.

If Jane Lynch doesn't win an Emmy this year, we will have to create an award specially for her. She's so damn good you get to hate her, I know I do. And whoever writes her lines deserves a 10.

Looks like everything was addressed this half season, I just hope next half the show keeps the magic it has and make Thursdays the day for me.
  • Great way to end midseason..

The first half of Glee pretty much looked like a complete season in itself when you consider the story progression. And I am sure most people would agree Glee is the best freshman show of this fall season.

A lot of lingering open ends have been tied up with this episode. Sue Sylvester's destructive antics are finally revealed and she is given a suspension. Though Jane Lynch's character has been given some sort of a negative meaning here, we definitely miss her when she is not on the show. You always need an Yin Yang relationship in your cast. Quinn's secret is also finally out, and now everyone knows Puck's the father. We, at this point, really don't know what holds in store for this story, except that Rachel and Finn will get back together. Speaking of getting back together, Will and Emma's will they-wont they tension is finally put to rest, after both hit dead ends in their relationships. Figuring out that WMHS will win the sectional's was no rocket science. But I loved the way they dumbed down the whole competition hysteria by putting a group of incompetent people to judge the show.

Well, I hope to get back writing in summer. And those of you who didn't read the article on the homepage, the beautiful Idina Menzel will join the regular cast in the next 9 episodes.

Great Ep! I wanted to reach into the screen and punch Coach Sylvester for Mr Schu. What a witch! Loved the whole thing. Felt sorry for Puck though. Quinn is going to need help but first she picked Finn over Puck, then when Finn left, she chose to do it on her own instead of letting Puck help. Twice he was looked over. And it's about time Mr Schu got away from his creepy crazy wife. Matthew Morrison did a great job this one, I really thought he was going to blow up at some point. Loved Rachel's solo! Broadway is back baby!
  • Great episode

Well, Glee certainly left with a bang. Each scene in this was interesting, well-written and most of all exciting. I really enjoyed Lea Michelle's performance of "Don't Rain on My Parade" by Barbra Streisand which was quite a fabulous opener for their music element.

Another interesting aspect of the plot was the battle between Schuester and Sylvester certainly came to a head (Particularly the ending) and I thought that Principal Figgins reaction to Sue's deception was actually quite funny.

Ever since this show started, it's been an absolute pleasure to watch and follow, and this episode was absolutely no exception.

    Peace Out
  • Awesome mid season finish. I have to admit... it's been a loong time since i've been so keen to see the next episode,10/10

I have to admit, at first, the show wasn't so interesting, but after watching a few episodes, i started to be intreaged about it, and couldn't wait to see what was up next. From my point of view, FOX, did an awesome comeback/mix of 2 great shows that rule the sets and the publics appeal these days: A singing and dancind show ( like Dancing with the stars and others... ) and A comedy/drama ( not that good... could've been a better one ) of highschool kids and yes of their teachers life. This is a great mix, that i for one, am not shure if there is actually another show like it... It's original in it's creation that no other show had done before to my knowledge and therefor deserves a good spootlight.

I don't know how much work did Fox put in this show, and money, but one thing is for shure, it turned into a great show... with great voices and songs. Great work!!! So in conclusion, i encourage anyone who likes a lil' of dancing, singing, and a some comedy/drama, all mixed up, to watch this show, because after 3 or 4 eps. you'll be addicted as well.

Sections gave us what Glee does best - hilarious moments and very moving ones as well with all the excellent music we've come to love and expect. The main cast is superb, and It's been really fun this season watching Heather Morris as Brittany get some more and more hilarious moments as the ditsy cheerleader. Michael Hitchcock as the choir director for the deaf school was funny as always. And Lea Michele's "Don't Rain on My Parade" was almost as good as Miss Streisand herself.A great ending to the first half of the season. It makes me wonder how "American Idol" is going to top the what-will-happen-next-event-like status that Glee has become.

The last few episodes have been over dramatic and not what i was expecting from the show however this was brilliant with incredible acting particularly from the actor who plays finn, that scene when he finds out the baby isn't his is so heart wrenching i almost wanted to cry for him.

There were some great musical numbers in this i loved rachael singing don't rain on my parade it was absolutly perfect and so undeniably her, the rolling stones song was cute but the only thing i didn't understand was the fact that they had so many songs in there repitwa that they could of used, but they did another song that still worked out well.

Some great little guest moments i loved the judging panel they were so funny differnatly a high light.

Overall such a great episode and those final 30 seconds i won't ruin them but a great way to end a season.

See you in four months fellow gleekers have a good christmas.

Mercedes's solo makes me cry, and Rachel's, what was that! just perfection!!! Mr. Shue and Emma staying together in the end was great too, but even i don't like Terry, i fell sorry for her, all the things she did was because she love him. what is going happen with her and ken now? But what i really like the most in this episode, was the final presentation for mr. Shue, i don't know if you notice, but they did a little of almost all dances they did until this episode! A mester piece!

Can't wait to see the next episodes on spring!
  • Great stuff, yet there was something anti-climatic about it all.

Wrapping up the first half of Glee's excellent debut season was Sectionals, a funny and glorious celebration of what this series is all about. But from a pure excitement/suspense standpoint I felt a little let down on a few aspects, but I'll get to that later.

    First the good:

Mercedes solo. Gawddamn! I remember watching the Dreamgirls movie adaptation in theaters and the audience cheering after the Jenifer Hudson performance. I imagine most of America did the same thing again here in front of their TVs. Rachel's solo. Holy Hotdog! My love of the original theatre showtune aside, Lea Michelle sang this better. By a country mile. She has been the shining light on this show all season, but I truly expect she has now locked an Emmy nomination for herself next year!

There were some great little one-liners, like Puck's mention of his Fight Club, Sue's disses on Will's hair, and the beauty pageant judge who interpreted the Deaf kids' performance as 'honking' (who's going to hell for that one? The people who made the joke or the people who laugh at it? lol). I also liked the nod to "Don't Stop Believing" being the most downloaded iTunes song. Thanks to Glee. Meta much, lol? I almost choked up seeing Mr. Shue's emotional reaction to his kids on the phone. As far as heart goes, Glee delivered straight 10s all across the board.

But for all that I liked (hold off throwing tomatoes until after I've made my points) the predictability scale was kind off through the roof. After really loving lead-up episodes like Ballad and Mattress (arguably their best episode) I felt they hedged their bets a little on 2 of the biggest plots of the season. First was Finn finding out about Quinn and Puck. Reactions and drama here should have been played alot bigger from just about everyone. Finn pounded Puck for a bit and moped, but...that was about it. He quit Glee club (predictably) but also returned to save the day (also predictably). Now, I have come to like Finn more as the show went on, but I still don't buy him as the element New Directions NEEDED to win sectionals. Though good at harmonizing, his voice was never very strong. Wheelchair kid sings better, imo. I get the whole "doing it for the team" thing and he still hasn't forgiven either of them, but I just wish there was...more to this. I was also surprised no one else in glee got on Rachel for basically sabotaging their chances for her own selfishness. The other big ho-hummer was Emma and Ken's non-wedding. We knew they just couldn't possibly ever let this happen to that poor sweet girl, but they could have at least built up the suspense of it all. Instead of Shue running down the isle to profess his love...he runs down the school hallway. Bah. Not as effective. I know I'm complaining about predictability, but some cliches, like stopping the wedding, are tried and true for a reason: they work every time. I was really disappointed they didn't let that play out to it's complete dramatic potential. Coach struck me as the type who would marry Ms Strawberry Shortcake just to spite Will. I also thought the group numbers left a litle to be desired (Ugh, I've heard that Kelly Clarkson song on the radio a million f'ing times) I wouldn't call these major quibbles, but they weren't exactly minor to me either. In episodes like this I just really expect the s** to hit the fan (like Will finding out about the fake pregnancy in last week's amazing work) and it didn't. Our heroes won- of course, and Regionals are next. I hope the show isn't already getting repetitive. I'm glad Sue Silvester got knocked down a peg or two (seeing her continue to deny in front of hard evidence was hilarious) and I look forward to how everything continues in the spring.
  • Sectionals are finally here for the Glee Club, but when Quinn's secret unravels, the club may not be able to recover in time to compete.

First let me preface this by saying that this is not my usual genre of show that I watch. Having said that I have become a gleek. Absolutely great singing performances by Lea Michele(Rachel) and Amber Riley(Mercedes). There was enough closure of the major story lines in this episode to appease the fans if the show was not picked up for a full season but I am glad that it will continue. What I particularly liked about the first 13 episodes was the rock songs they chose to sing and tonight they included a great Rolling Stones song that I thought they did a great job on. Here's hoping they continue to surprise us in the next 9 episode with more great music. Rock on Glee.

P.S. being from Canada I can't forget to give props to Cory Monteith...way to go eh!
  • Actually kind of beautiful...

This season had its ups and downs, let's face it. The first two episodes were amazing, and then they kind of went downhill until the last three episodes. it lost the funny and turned intoo dramma, which i'm fine with, but it was just kind of weird that it went from sitcom to drama, u know????

but this episode was beautiful. it was absolutely perfect. with sue seeking revenge after getting fired, new directions totally PWNING at sections (especially rachel's don't rain on my parade.... OMG). And then Mr. Schue and Emma kissing at the end after she and the gym teacher broke-up... amazing!

    Still in shock. lol.

Can't wait for it to return in sprring!
