Blaine's version of "Hopelessly devoted to you" includes a reference to 2007's film "Across the Universe" - the scene where Prudence (T.V. Carpio) sings her version of the Beatles' "I want to hold your hold". It's also important that both of these songs are originally sung by singers of opposite sex which indicates that both Blaine and Prudence are gay.
