Episode Recap

Will goes over choreography with the glee club but the kids are giving a lackluster performance. Will is worried about sectionals, which are coming up soon, though Mercedes thinks that sectionals will be a breeze. Despite that, Will is worried about their performance at regionals. Will talks to Emma about the problem and they have a mild flirtation in the process. Will says the problem began when the team discovered that their other competitors in regionals were not much competition at all. Will and Emma try to figure out a plan to motivate the glee kids. Sue overhears their conversation and says that the kids need a little bit of terror to keep them going. Will tries to get the team motivated again by creating a boys versus girls competition. Each team has one week to perform a mash-up of their choice and the team that wins gets to choose the number they perform at regionals.

Sue takes to her journal to talk about her fears of losing nationals with the Cheerios. She saw Quinn quiver in the knees and she's afraid that will cost them the national title, and as a result, all of her endorsements. Quinn says she's just tired from Glee Club which only motivates Sue to bring them down even more. She figures if she cannot destroy the club, she needs to destroy Will. She heads over to have tea with Terri. She tells Terri about Emma and implies that the two are having an affair. She advises Terri to stick close and that the position of school nurse is open. Both Will and Emma are shocked when Terri arrives and tells them about her new job.

Finn has been exhausted lately between football, glee, and school. Puck suggests he go to the nurse and ask to take a nap. Terri says that Finn doesn't need a nap and just tells him to take pseudo-ephedrine – she tells him it's a vitamin. A completely wired Finn goes back and shares some of his "vitamins" with the rest of the guys. The guys give a completely amped up performance of "It's My Life" and "My Confessions". The girls start to worry a little bit – they didn't know that the guys had such a good performance in store. Kurt admits to them that they had taken performance enhancers.

Ken talks to Terri about Emma. He thinks that Emma is in love with Will. Terri decides that the only solution to their mutual problem is if Ken proposes to Emma – and he does.

Rachel and the girls (except Quinn) all decide to take the pills as well to boost their performance. They gave a very high energy performance of "Halo" and "Walking on Sunshine". Despite the high energy levels of both teams, Will doesn't suspect a thing, other than the fact that he thinks the competition has sparked their energy again.

Emma asks Will if he can think of any reason why she shouldn't marry Ken. He has no answer for her. Terri tells Emma that she has absolutely no chance with Will and that she should accept Ken's proposal Quinn also approaches Terri and says that she will give up her baby to Terri.

After principal Figgins discovers that Terri has been giving the kids drugs (and that Howard has been arrested for picking them up for Terri), he asks her to step down as the school nurse. He also decides that Will is un-fit to run Glee club alone, and brings in Sue to run the club alongside Will.
