Episode Recap

Quinn's medical bills are starting to build up and Finn promises to find a job in order to help support her. New Directions is also in need of money for a bus that can take Artie's wheelchair to Sectionals. Will suggests having a bake sale to raise money but none of the glee kids are interested in the idea. Artie feels dejected due to everyone's lack of compassion and Will forces the rest of glee club to use wheelchairs for a week so they can learn how it feels to be Artie. Will brings a new song for sections, "Defying Gravity" and automatically assigns the lead to Rachel. Kurt asks to audition for the part but Will turns him down. Kurt tells his father about his disappointment and he brings the issue to Principal Figgins. Will agrees to let Kurt audition for the part with the rest of the glee club deciding if the part will go to Kurt or Rachel.
Puck offers Quinn money for the baby but she doesn't accept it. Finn catches Puck and Quinn sharing a moment. Shortly after, Puck and Finn have a fist fight in the hall after Puck accuses Finn of complaining about his new responsibilities as a father and Quinn threatens to end things with Finn if he can't get a job and come up with the money.
Principal Figgins is inspired by Will's experiment with the wheelchairs and asks Sue to have open tryouts for the Cheerios in order to find Quinn's replacement. After rejecting many candidates, Sue accepts Becky, a student with Down Syndrome. Will is suspicious of Sue's actions. Later, he spies on Sue drilling Becky at practice. He gives Sue a hard time for being so hard on Becky. Sue says she isn't treating Becky differently from the way she would treat any of the other Cheerios but Will is still convinced something is up.
Kurt's father receives an anonymous phone call from someone calling Kurt hurtful names. Wade is hurt and Kurt seems unaffected. Kurt loses the "Diva-Off" to Rachel because he failed to hit the high F note.
When the bake sale doesn't go well, Puck takes matters into his own hands. He buys marijuana from Sandy and puts it into the cupcakes and they begin to sell quickly. Puck steals the money from the bake sale and brings it to Quinn. He tells her about his hopes to get a house and start a family with Quinn. She's touched by his actions but tells him to give the money back. Finn is finally able to get a job, pretending to be handicapped in a wheelchair, and is able to win Quinn's affections again.
Despite the fact that the bake sale profits were enough to get a new bus, Artie wants to use the money for wheelchair ramps in the auditorium instead. Later, Mr. Figgins tells Will that Sue has written a check for ramps in the school and the bake sale money can be used for the bus. Will continues to be suspicious of Sue's motives. Sue goes to visit her mentally handicapped sister in a care home. She's nice and caring, quite different from how she acts otherwise, as she reads a book to her sister.
Tina and Artie kiss on their first date and she confesses that her stutter is fake. She used it to push people away because she was shy when she was younger. Artie is saddened by this because he thought that they had something in common, but she doesn't have a handicap but he's still stuck in his chair. Kurt tells his dad that he purposefully threw the audition in order to protect him. Kurt is okay with himself but knows how hard it is for his father to live with a son who's different.
