This episode is out of character for Globetrekker. It seems to be much more of a historical narrative instead of a travel essay. Reenactments were interspersed between the different scenes. This was the only episode that I know of where someone other than a host does a good deal of talking to the audience. I do feel this was an informative, interesting, and novel touch but seemed less Globetrekker. The episode travelled to the sites in a chronological order instead of the usual geographical. This makes sense to give the best narrative on the Civil War but as a travel show, I would prefer them to make more of a journey out of it. I'm a Civil War buff and a fan of Justine and Megan (especially her in later years). This episode was fantastic in that sense. Moreover, I'm from Richmond, Va and absolutely loved seeing Richmond on Globetrekker. In fact, one of Megan's stops in Richmond was the very spot where I worked for a good 5 years. I'll have to make a pilgramage back to that stop. Anywho, not a bad episode but just out of character.moreless
