  • Trivia

    ADD TRIVIA
    • Sara and Mabel were played by hooded versions of Ashley Cartier and The Royal Hawaiian in this episode. Edit
    • The California Doll in this episode is not Jane Hamlin. This Doll wore a white polka-dot outfit and was never seen on GLOW again. The original TV broadcast of this episode (not the video versions sold in stores) is the only episode to feature Ashley Cartier rapping. Ashley never rapped on any other episode. The character of "Tammy Jones" played by Tammy D'Amato was married to the long-time referee of the show, Frank D'Amato (featured in this episode and all of season one). Edit
  • Notes

    ADD NOTES
    • The 5'0", 90 pound Tammy Jones defeats the 6'1", 280 pound Matilda the Hun to become the first GLOW champion. Tammy also has the distinction of having the shortest GLOW reign, 2 episodes. Edit
    • This episode is featured on the first of three commercial tapes from Today Home Entertainment. Scenes are added, all raps are deleted, Cheerleaders vs. Heavy Metal is deleted. In this video version, GLOW demonstrates it's racial "political incorrectness" when Mabel refers to Salt & Pepper with the line "Look at the Spade and the Honky fightin'". Edit
    • Pilot episode, and the only appearance of the team Salt & Pepper. Edit

I may be prissy and very rich, but get me mad and you'll see a witch!"
