Desperate Housewives is NOT a Comedy. It's a Drama with some funny moments. The West Wing was a drama with funny moments. Friends was a comedy with serious moments.

Why is Desperate Housewives AGAIN nominated as a comedy!

Still nothing for Prison break but I hope Weeds wins a couple of awards...

I felt so sorry for Prison Break and I don't know why Desperate has gained another nomination and no one for Prison Break.

I agree that I don't think Desperate Housewives should be classed as a comedy per se - it is a comedy drama!  Hard choice with the others as I really really like Weeds and Ugly Betty! I am looking forward to the outcome ... in the hope that it won't be predictable!

Where is ER? Where is Goran Visnjic, Maura Tierney, Linda Cardinelli, Laura Innes? ER showed it's still alive, the audience has been faithful for 13 seasons and yet they are not nominated? 21 Guns was an amazing season finale and Bloodline was a GREAT season premiere! I guess the fans are the only ones that trully appreciate that kind of outstanding performances.

What about The L Word? Its been left out of nearly all nominations, especially for awards like the golden globes and the emmys when it is such a great, influential drama show! And damn Jennifer Beals should get an award for her role on it...but no, its not even recognised the the larger American television community! Why??? Not fair seriously.

Excellent outcome ... very unpredictable ... all those wins for the Brits for once ... hooray! Nine no less!! So well deserved!!! Plus Ugly Betty getting the recogition it should have!! And then there was Grey's winning ... boring!!! Could have been another Brit!!!

Same here. I Can't believe Heroes got Shut out of the Globes too! Though it was a hard choice Heroes or 24 For Best Drama For Me and I was Actually Rooting for Heroes to win and Masi Oka to win his first Golden Globe But He didnt and neither did Kiefer

The golden globes are the halfway point between the People's Choice Awards and the Emmy's. They are so random when it comes to Drama and Comedy TV. Acting, directing, movie stuff, sure, they're good, but show awards, not so much.

Well, it certainly is refreshing to see Grey's Anatomy win best in show. But let's just hope that when any of us are next hospitalised the doctors spend half as much time worrying about their personal lives, and a little more time actually concentrating on their patients-this is why ER has run for 13 series. Somehow, the script writers managed to keep a fair balance between medicine and melodramatic soap opera-ishness. However, once Grey's sorts this little kink out, I'm sure the show will be entirely watchable for those of us who actually care about the setting of this show-a hospital. But then again, 20 million regular viewers can't be wrong (sigh).

Nah! Prison Break should be the one who got the nominations! I'm saddened.
