Golden Years is the thriller mini-series written by Stephen King which follows an old man who has a mysterious reaction to toxic chemicals. Harlan Williams works at an experimental lab as a janitor, and his life is changed when an experiment goes horribly wrong. An experiment goes haywire and an explosion occurs, and Williams is exposed to toxic chemicals. The older man soon finds that he is getting younger, as his aging process has been reversed. Now on the run from a shadowy agency called The Shop, as the government wants to use him as a human guinea pig to find out what has given him this new youth. The shop is a quasi-government agency which has been featured in many of King's works, including Carrie, The Tommyknockers, Firestarter and Lawnmower Man, and now they are after this janitor who holds the secret to what could be a fountain of youth.
